Panama Canal Expansion, and its Impact: Thoughts?

This is one is probably for Net-Man, but does anyone have any thoughts on how the newly expanded Panama Canal will affect DRYS and the BDI from the Panamax side? I know DRYS has a lot of exposure to the Panamax spot rate, so this could be a good thing to have the canal open. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I know it was only like 2 cents, but almost 15% down today! Ughhh, where is my gun?

Third Quarter 2015 Financial Highlights

-- For the third quarter of 2015, the Company reported a net loss of $820.0

million, or $1.23 basic and diluted loss per share. Included in the third

quarter 2015 results are impairment charges and loss on sales on the

entire drybulk fleet, of $797.5 million, or $1.20 per share. Excluding

these impairment charges and losses, the Company's net results would have

amounted to a net loss of $22.5 million, or $0.03 per share.(1)

Nevermind DRYS, the industry cannot afford that at the moment.

Everyday this week I have expected big news that will either cripple the stock or make it soar upwards. Where is the clarity of what's going on, GE? Net-man, has there been any new information from IR?

Not DRYS related, but I think jobs data is going to beat expectations. I dunno, I just have a feeling. I could also be very very wrong, hahaha.

Is there any change GE and the board is trying top shop DRYS around? Cleaning up the debt could make this more attractive to a buyer.
