Because it doesn't matter. The funds are there.
Haha,, my question was in part rhetorical and part wondering what the official JNJ explanation is for building so extensively in ximedicas back yard.
I don't understand
Why would Ethicon/JNJ/ Verb have anything to do in providence?
They are headquartered in other cities.. Menlo Park. Silicon Valley. Cincinnati.
Does anyone know what their business could be in Providence besides robotics?
Enough said. Can we leave that spyder for now?
It is a glorified spider replica device. No digital interface. No data synthesis capability. And I don't think 3D optics.
Med rbts is not part of this equation.
An ENT device at best. Patel is on titans advisory board, enough said.
Agree. Just can't imagine that a photo hasn't somehow leaked otherwise.
Awesome. Thanks again. Has to be the new version of Sport. Is there any connection between Cambridge and verb/ JNJ ?
Sorry if I missed where did that pic come from?
Thank you!
Would be very interesting to identify the person whose face is visible is the pic.
So just to be clear, do you think the pic on the website is titans Sport and verbs prototype?
I do
I think it has to be Sport also!
Are you referring to the pic referred to on this board?
Did anyone see that Verb supposedly has been showing a full function prototype to industry partners?
It's listed on their website.
Patels comments are accurate to best of my knowledge. Hyperdexterious system needs Sport to either complete it or to be its foundation. This could explain why Verb hasn't lived up to the end of 2016 reveal of its prototype. Still integrating with Sport?
Market in 2020 will be 30-40 billion
Most telling is that they have 2 million to give back. For a company with only 5-8 million in cash, that would seem impossible without another source on the immediate horizon.
And, the other partners comment is interesting as well.
I don't know for sure if Sport is working with Verb. I do know some things about future platforms from planning sessions I took part in. The surgeon will be an information manager. The robot will be the effector arm of a computer that allows the surgeon to interact with the fusion of various types of data and apply this mountain of information to accomplish an operation. It's all digital, necessitating a robot as an integral piece of this package. Nothing about it will be primarily or secondarily laparoscopic. It will be incredible to see how this all plays out.
Yep. No talk of prototype. No talk of FDA/CE with any discernible device.
Seems like they would be multiple years away. I doubt it.
You are correct. It is still surgeon dependent. Just like a distal pancreatectomy. Robot is better with a surgeon who can actually exploit it. Regarding hernia, there are still too many surgeons attempting this while not being great with the robot.
Isrg isn't wrong on hernia repair, maybe a bit premature. The technology is kinda there and in the right hands it is better than lap. Just like almost any other procedure where the tech is there or close, a good robotic surgeon is better than a good lap surgeon for a given procedure. Those who don't believe that are soon to be playing catchup or out of a job. Patients will want single incision and in fact will seek it out if given the choice. Therein is Isrg biggest mistake, not creating patient demand. There are some others, but as the tech evolves, every operation is going to use a robot.
Which acquisition? Thanks!
Wow. Ok then how does that fit in the puzzle?
The domain surgical article suggests to me that McNally has a preexisting relationship with ethicon.
I am missing the longtai clue that's been alluded to. Can't seem to piece it together. Oh, and Patel is here to help lead the way, not to fix anything.
If there was something wrong with Sport, Patel wouldn't have signed on.
It occurred to me that knowing that Isrg is such a well run company with the first and now 3 times modified surgical robot firmly established in many hospitals with many faithful users and with an ever expanding market for which they are square in the sweet spot.... it will be virtually impossible for another product/company to make a meaningful dent let alone impact in this space. Medtronic will never catch up especially if their robot is in any way a repeat of the Xi. The next (if ever) viable player will have to be revolutionary in all facets and be so attractive to surgeons that they are willing to abandon what they know and are comfortable with. The only company with the gravitas to pull this off is google and however they choose to execute on their entry. Maybe they buy Isrg ? Is there any evidence that they are in contact in any way? The Patel/ Nicholson center developments suggest against that possibility. So what are we left with? If Verb can actually pull something off here, by definition it will have to be superior to what is currently available and therefore if titan is involved, there could be an astronomical outcome.
Preferred shares should never be allowed. That always means preferred for them and not for you.
No more dilution coming.
Even better news !
I think this is actually tremendous. He knows what his ultimate payoff is going to be. I just hope that his options are equal in value to investor shares value
Fully automated operations in 10 years. Obviously robotic with MRI data fused with thousands of previously digitally recorded operations being collated this very day. Dynamic sltrasound and optical sensors to prevent mistakes.
Here are some observations.
1. Sport is real and is the closest of any supposed prototypes on the horizon to FDA submission.
2. Patel would not sign on if the above was not true.
3. While circumstantial at best, there is more than a slight possibility that Titan gets acquired soon by JNJ/Verb.
4. The share price makes NO sense.
5. The due diligence moving forward should be on explaining the share price and financing flimflam, because that is where the answer regarding partner/acquirer lies.
6. Seems to me that the acquirer/partner has been buying shares and calling the shots for at least 2 years.
This is most likely the explanation for the share price.
Rocko, I agree with you.. what do you think happens to our investment dollars when this eventuality becomes real?
I reviewed the list and lots of great companies and lawyers. No body representing looney tunes and no bugs bunny.
Since you know. Then what is your answer ?
So you have declared the level of your knowledge
Trxc is over. The product is a tinkertoy. I've seen it and played with it.
And whoever their big names, they are not invited to paloalto along side google. I'm not reaching.
Irrelevant. He is listed as representing titan.
