Hi lesnshawn, I manage my own stock portfolio. I don't know any broker here in Montreal, Canada. Do you think Neomedia can do something for me? Can they take them back?
Should I wait for another reverse split? I am trying to get rid 160 shares.
I also have 40 shares are in my RSP account. I can't keep these shares in my RSP Account. They have asked me to sell my 40 shares before June 15th 2015 (Canadian government has changed the rules).
Hi jacksira, I live in Montreal, Canada. I have called four or five times to the National Bank (I manage my own stock portfolio)...they said I can't fill out the form of No Value because Neom is still traded. They said I can donate my shares to them (to the Bank). I don't want...I want to declare the loss in my income tax.
This morning, I sent an email to Neomedia...I hope they can do something for me.
I have been trying to sell 160 shares for more than a month...Can I declare a loss in my income tax if I make a donation? any Canadian accountant here?
I'm trying to sell these shares (loss tax deduction). Can anybody help me?
Tencent Wechat and Alibaba the two biggest Internet companies in China use QR codes.

Alibaba has applied to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange. Alibaba IPO could raise up to $15bn-$20bn.
Alibaba, Softbank and Yahoo(???) will try to acquire Line. The quick shift to mobile has benefited Tencent. Alibaba is running scared...
Wechat has 350 millions active users. Line has 250-300 millions active users. Tencent and Alibaba could make Qr codes mainstream. Wechat and Line want to take over the world.
I live in Montreal, Canada. Qr codes are everywhere. However, I don't see a single person scans them.
Interesting comment from the former founder of Neomedia tonight.
From a discussion group, Chas Fritz said "...With regard to the Patent war (most people say I started this!!) the 1D barcode actually is clearly in the heart of the key Neomedia patents that are at issue..."
Do I still believe in 2d barcode technology? Yes. However, I hope I am not too old when it happens.
Please don't interfere in the discussion group that Chas has joined. I would like to hear more from him. :))
Thank you.
Thank you JP. If the deal is completed, the company being acquired will disappear...(for example: Google, Neven Vision & Image recognition).
Hi Dr. Mike, How are you? Thomas Hinterleithner is doing a great job in Austria. Our predictions actually turns out to be correct. Unfortunately, I think we have to wait a few more years before the 2d barcode technology becomes mainstream here and the rest of the world. :)) Neomedia will probably disappear from the map. :))

Hi Drmyke3, How are you? I still believe in the Mobile barcode scanning technology. However, it takes a lot of time for this technology to take off.
Hi streetstylz, I just read this news. Give Thomas Hinterleithner the credit. I believe that I had a good vision. :))

You hadn't talked about this on your blog (See Google Translate)

Over 1,000,000 people reach net
From 18 December MediaCom placed across Austria over 900 City Lights with mobile codes, and City Lights in a fully customized bus stops with a net reach of over 1,000,000 people. In addition, buses are heavily frequented in Vienna in Total Look labels and generate high attention. Hi streetstylz, Whatever they said on their blog post, they only propose NeoReader for the iphone.

Find and install a 2D Barcode Reader
In order to use Semapedia Tags, you will need to install one of many 2D Barcode Readers onto your phone. Please select your phone manufacturer from below:

Installation Instructions: QR Code Reader for the iPhone from Neomedia. Works fine, except that the iPhone forces the user always to acknowledge that the app can use the picture, that makes it not as seamless as Readers on Symbian and Windows Mobile. Requires OS 2.0
Hi in4it, There is a consensus on 2d codes. However, there is no consensus on Mobile barcode scanning application. GS1 France, GS1 Germany, GS1 Austria,...work with different Mobile barcode scanning companies.
IQ Mobile proposes NeoReader and Gavitec's EXIO.

phoenix69, that's not new. Christian Steinborn and Tim Kindberg had made the same prediction.
Hi streetstylz, As I mentioned last week, Scanbuy starts the game with the lead in the first inning. The U.S. carriers are going to endorse the Scanbuy's technology. We know that Scanbuy only promotes the Ezcode and can only read the Ezcode in the US.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=26396399
If you used the indirect access model, the type of code would not matter. On the other hand, if you use the direct access model then the type of code would matter.
Hi JP, I believe that my comparison was not clear enough. :) I compared the Mobile barcode scanning application to the Internet browser.
Mobile Discovery is going to propose to their clients an indirect access model so you only need one reader application. Does Mobile Discovery need both application (Scanlife and NeoReader) if they propose an indirect access model?
streetstylz, I agree with you. I don't think Mobile Discovery wants to partner with a loser. However, it will only become a very big win when Scanbuy pays us.
Are Mobile Discovery and Scanbuy still partners? I doubt...You can not put Neomedia and Scanbuy both in the driver's seat. Will Mobile Discovery propose NeoReader or Scanlife to students and staff at Case Western Reserve university? It is an indirect access model so you only need one reader application.
streetstylz, Will Mobile Discovery propose NeoReader or Scanlife on their website? Will students, faculty and staff at Case Western Reserve's Cleveland use NeoReader or Scanlife for their 2d code trials/projects?
Can you have 2 drivers on the driver's seat? What internet browser are you going to choose? Firefox or Internet Explorer?
streetstylz , I know this. However, they do what the Mobile operators tell them to do. You don't need another type of barcode if the Mobile operators support Scanbuy's proprietary code and barcode scanner.
streetstylz , Scanbuy's barcode reader can also read Datamatrix and QR codes. I don't understand why Mobile Discovery needed NeoReader.

“EZCode Campaign Manager has been selected”…and it is ScanBuy. It does not say who this is, but I am 99% certain. There might be a press release in the works somewhere (Although, some sample EZCode’s I built with their system stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was a server outage…curious…)
Laird Garner was a speaker at Case Western Reserve University:
Personalizit, Scanbuy provides proprietary code (Ezcode). Scanbuy has partnered with 5 U.S. mobile operators. Don't you think that most U.S. carriers are going to endorse Scanbuy's technology?

"90,000 mailers were sent to AT&T subscribers in selected markets for this Papa John's 2-D barcode campaign. The offer ran for the month of August and received a tremendous response. This campaign was geared towards Papa John's more tech savvy customers in order to give them something extra in addition to our standard text-based mobile initiatives. As the US continues to embrace 2-D barcodes (Ralph Lauren) we look forward to staying ahead of new and emerging technologies and positioning ourselves as a leader in this evolving 2-D barcode ecosystem."

Follow the instructions on the mailer/post card. You will need to download and install the 2-D barcode reader to scan the barcode. Once scanned, the software should provide you a link with a built-in promotion code to mobile.papajohns.com. You will have to login with you existing www.papajohns.com account information or create a new account to redeem the offer.

Mindmatics is not working with Gavitec in this Mobile Barcode Scanning campaign. :(
http://mobile.kaywa.com/files/electronic-beats.pdf
Yes, Trinity Mobile does work with Gavitec Mobile Digit. However, Gavitec is not involved in the Arriva project. Gavitec's MD20 is not used for the FoneScan 5400. The FoneScan 5400 is a small device.
Nice donbalon. The English version is here:
MINDMATICS PROMOTES T-MOBILE ON MOBILE INTERNET
http://www.mindmatics.de/en/index.html?flash=1
Second project phase of the "Electronic Beats" portal begins with a QR Code campaign and mobile ads
Munich, 01 September 2008 – From September, the mobile portal of the international music community program "Electronic Beats" from T-Mobile will be marketed using a QR Code campaign and mobile advertising. Following the successful mobile Internet launch in April of the WAP portal developed by MindMatics and aimed at the target group 18-29 year-olds, through an integrated campaign users will now be guided to the portals www.electronicbeats.net and www.electronicbeats.mobi.
The campaign combines both digital and classic marketing components: via so-called QR Codes communicated through the Electronic Beats magazine and event-specific flyers, interested users can call up the mobile portal on their mobile phone regardless of time and place and read music news, CD reviews and other themes relating to Electronic Beats. Users only need to install the reader software required to read the codes onto their mobile phone once. The campaign is then actively marketed with Electronic Beats visuals via display ads. Delivery of the Electronic Beats portal will be in a form optimised to current mobile phone formats, for example the 3G version of the Apple iPhone.
"Via the mobile Internet we will be specifically reaching an extremely homogenous target group with special interests in music", declared Ralf Lülsdorf, Head of Music Sponsoring at T-Mobile International. He also stated that "the response to date proves that the combination of conventional advertising media with digital channels awakens a high degree of interest, particularly in terms of music loving and simultaneously innovative customers, and significantly extends the market reach for this target group."
The press release and picture material can also be found at Company/Picture archive/Campaign examples.
