fwiw...charting JCP's most "prior" historical “low”….
Are there "buy signals" at these "1980" retro's....I don't know?
Hey, don't lose money. If you don't make some money that's a pisser yet it's better than the alternative of loosing it. With that said...I most likly will try to buy some :O) I don't know "wind" though? Not comfortable the direction its blowing?

Short of “JCP/Corp” input why rise tomorrow…Friday?
Thinking folks more likely to not want to hold over the weekend then would? Thinking could be another low tomorrow, Friday? Not saying close at newest low just intraday activity perhaps reaching another new low perhaps end of week, as well as end of month, tomorrow?

LOL that’s great…at least family will win.
Seattle’s a cool place…only been there once, and that was in August, but fell in love with it.
Maybe the losing side of the family has to send a bag of Hershey’s Kisses to the winning side….I’m hoping you get Kissed.

J.C. Penney Becomes Oversold (JCP)
http://www.forbes.com/sites/dividendchannel/2014/01/13/j-c-penney-becomes-oversold-jcp/
Legendary investor Warren Buffett advises to be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. One way we can try to measure the level of fear in a given stock is through a technical analysis indicator called the Relative Strength Index, or RSI, which measures momentum on a scale of zero to 100. A stock is considered to be oversold if the RSI reading falls below 30.
In trading on Monday, shares of J.C. Penney Co., Inc. (NYSE: JCP) entered into oversold territory, hitting an RSI reading of 28.7, after changing hands as low as $6.71 per share. By comparison, the current RSI reading of the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) is 47.0. A bullish investor could look at JCP’s 28.7 RSI reading today as a sign that the recent heavy selling is in the process of exhausting itself, and begin to look for entry point opportunities on the buy side. The chart below shows the one year performance of JCP shares:
J.C. Penney Co., Inc. 1 Year Performance Chart
Looking at the chart above, JCP’s low point in its 52 week range is $6.24 per share, with $23.10 as the 52 week high point — that compares with a last trade of $6.72. Find out what 9 other oversold stocks you need to know about »
According to the ETF Finder at ETFChannel.com, JCP makes up 7.13% of the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (AMEX: VOO) which is trading lower by about 1.3% on the day Monday.
Thinking this is positive…

Good move on your part.

"D'oh!" OK, I’ll do da "D'oh!" :o)
I admit I did not see this coming last few weeks or days, especially not just last night?
Will JCP’s RSI’s 30buy/70sell gravitate from RSI(7) on over into RSI(10) or RSI(14) perhaps? Looking real time this evening RSI(14) might be back? Then again are shorts covering... so? Onward Thru the Fog? #msg-95650176. (The 20ma crossover above the 50ma gets put on hold, huh?)
Perhaps I should double-down my "D'oh!" with mention of “Pinch” yet will also say not thinking JCP will gravitate into such a duration that might suggest further “Pincher” consideration… #msg-93037488 and #msg-93328712 (thanks again interloper)!!
I'm simply focused on thoughts of JCP’s 2014’s Thanksgiving & Christmas Holiday Season shopping.

Gotcha, perhaps JCP will boringly crawl north from here making other plays more 30/70 short term swing playful. Looking back on my post I should have specified interval duration as opposed to the oversold/overbought 30/70. Looking at the different durations verses buy/sell suggestions seemed the RSI-10 matched closer than RSI-14, not that there’s anything wrong with that just seemed to match the 70 ref selling more consistently.

In addition, the Company’s department stores provide its customers with services such as styling salon, optical, portrait photography and custom decorating.JC Penney are all fine examples of companies ...choice to be the biggest stock percentage mover in 2014. Volatility continues to be name of the game here with sales growth still an issue, tight liquidity, a possible CEO change, and valuation challenges. Sterne Agee has Penney as a Buy-rated stock with an upside potential of 13% and a price target of $19.00. The stock’s P/E ratio for 2014 is negative and the earnings per share (EPS) estimate is expected to be down by 62% after rising 70% in 2013. As the analysts say, “Buckle Up!” So how do you know which stocks are “buy and hold .

An iHub Santa clause “PostStream” Christmas-Gift Wish?
Moving on thru 2013 into 2014 forward please alter/adjust “Post Stream” to only include posts from other iHub boards, not from/including the “stock specific” board where you came from, already read the posts, and must ask the “post stream” from.
One goes to a stock specific board and reads what they want from the posters on that stock specific board and then when curious what other iHubers might be thinking/saying on other iHub boards about the stock click “post stream”… the window of posts is cluttered with what you’ve already seen/read following visitation of the stock specific board that you just came from in the first place.
Please eliminate the Stock Specific Stock that you are originating from when clicking “Post Stream” to only access posts from other iHubers/boards that are mentioning/referencing that specific stock you’re interested in too.
Thinking would not only be more efficient and effective for viewers gathering knowledge but also less costly to iHub removing redundancy replication posts from that stock specific board to “post stream” boards being posted/inquired about?

Which one/s? Perhaps 1rst and 3rd?
Actually ShakeNTake you can chose and post yourself by simply right clicking mouse over chart and then opening “properties”. Then highlight and copy the “properties” into a post window. Lastly highlight the “properties” and then click on “image” option upper left. Results for 1rst and 3rd charts would be …without the extra spaces in the image brackets…and become visible.
