Someone is preparing for housing for workets.
Should we consider this an indicator?
It's always good to read a positive post from one of the longs. Thanks Landmark!
My response would be nothing. It would be your statement, and that's why we have this board. We're on here to share thoughts, and hopefully learn from more knowledgeable investors.
Why do you always get your pants in a bunch? Many of us are uninformed in regards to investments, but we are in this along with everyone else, and try to participate in discussions as best as we can. Keep your smarmy comments to yourself.
Yup! You never know when that cookie will sprout legs and crawl away. Better to keep a constant watch on it.
You probably don't cook very much.
Just hitting refresh every few minutes.
Does anyone feel the FS numbers could still be released today?
Just a reminder. In Mark Smith's 26 April corporate update interview he says that the FS is expected to be complete "in the next few weeks, or month". We are still a week away from 27 May, so let's watch the count down of the next seven days. I've been disappointed with delays like the rest of you, but I am a long, and believe that Niocorp is our future.
Nothing is happening in Germany. Is there a freeze going on?
Makes me happy. I own a nice share of SCY too.
TM. I appreciate your candor, and sharing of your knowledge. Being one of the small holders, I see things through near term goggles. I have little experience in trading, and even less knowledge of mining development timelines. My big holdings are with Niocorp, and activities with that firm appear to be ramping up quickly. Announcements come regularly, and knowledgeable discussions within the group indicate appear to support a very near term jump in SP, followed by steady growth. These are holding that I am unwilling to risk tampering with. Your statement that this being a dead period for SCY gives me thoughts that I may have some time to do some speculation on my own. Possibly learning to read the ups and downs of this stock, and not just sit idly watching the pennies fluctuate, but benefit from this period by using what I have to reinvest in itself. Thanks for giving me some courage to act, and not just bitch.
TM. Thanks for responding, but your reposting of the July 6 announcement is what I am referring to. I guess I consider myself a long. I've held stock with SCY for 2+ years, and have followed their activities as well as I can with my limited knowledge of mining development processes. But you did validate my query. July 6 is over three months back, and though it is good to know the background of the new appointee, and certainly gives the impression we are in good hands, we are still getting very little information on progress since the release of the FS. Why would you say that they have little interest in PR? Isn't that an element of reassuring investors?
Has anyone heard any news at all in the last several months? Nothing on the SI website give any indication of progress, or pending announcements. I'm a long time regular viewer, and periodic poster on the Niocorp board, and you are always up to date on their activities. Without any news from SI I am starting to have my doubts.
When was the last halt?
Putz - My long hair ended up in a pile around the barbers chair when I went to Army basic training. That was the end of my Beatles hair cut.
Thanks Putz. I've been on vacation for a while, and just got back on today. Activity since the 8th has been rather erratic, so I'm holding my breath and waiting for the push that seems to be trying to break through the resistance. Hoping it comes soon.
Understood. Thanks Putz.
Putz
In effect you are saying if you were in my position you would look for the next push, waiting a while to make your sale and repurchase? I can only blame myself for when I take action, but having advice does help immensely. I still have time before I act.
All
I'm quite surprised at the volume of responses to my situation, and can only surmise that this group does take the welfare of members seriously. I appreciate all of your considerations.
I am not a regular poster to this group, but attend to the activities posted here on a daily basis. Other than feeding a 401k, my purchase of Niocorp stock has been my primary venture into other investments (I do have some SCY holdings, but some times wonder why). I suppose I would be a typical poster boy for people preparing for retirement. No need to go into my personal history, but I did start late, and knew that a 401k alone would not be enough to enjoy a comfortable retirement.
I jumped on the Niocorp band wagon back when it was $.25, so in retrospect I guess I haven't been one of the “longs” for as long as I thought. But I watched the dramatic climb to almost $1.50 like the rest of you, and knew I had made the right decision. The steady decline back to the upper $.30's was demoralizing, but regular attendance of this board kept me from following a sheep mentality, and selling my holdings. The positive attitude reflected in this board has been very inspiring, and kept my spirits up during what feels to me like a long developing process. I've also had several interactions with Jim Sims, which astounds me considering his level in the company.
For Puzt. I'm not sure what you're saying, but interpret things to mean sell at approximately $1.14/1.18 Canadian, and then expect another drop in share price soon after. Do you see another significant gain in the very near future? Because we've been staggering around a lot since May, and haven't seen share prices in this range since late March.
For the rest of you recommending other means of transferring my Niocorp stock, you've given options I haven't considered. Thanks for all of your help.
In short, I want to thank all of you for your thoughts on my situation, and will consider them in my own inexperienced way.
AO. No. I'm still trying to gauge the right moment.
Inversor,
At this point I haven't any idea what my options are. I'm still in shock that I can't leave the stock alone, and shift everything else up to the IRA.
Watching activities on DAK right now, and looks like business as usual. Hoping this daily flux continues, and that I can do the transition with little impact. After that I pray it goes to the moon.
AO - I've resigned myself to letting them liquidate everything and roll over to the IRA. No issues with taxes, but it will need some close attention to activities on this board. When to sell, and pray that the timing is right to sell/repurchase.
I plan on selling next week, so when everyone sees a number of blocks that total 60k worth of shares on the "sell side", it's going to be me.
To Lard, AO & Gary
Thanks for your recommendations. I approached my account manager with your advice, but it was a futile effort. My old firm has an agreement with my 401k folks that require total liquidation, and transfer into an IRA before allowing and disbursements. I'll just have to risk selling and hoping that Niocorp doesn't make a significant jump during the transition period. It could take up to a week to convert everything, and considering the volatility of Nio right now, I could take a major loss when buying back.
Thanks for your help anyway. Just another benefit of being a member of this group.
Advice on temporary liquidation
I have a significant number of NIO shares in a brokerage account as part of my 401k. I was just informed today that I will have to liquidate all of my NIO stock in order to transfer everything into an IRA to begin taking monthly disbursements. I have been one of the longs, holding shares since 2011, and guarding them closely against any recommendations to sell.
Do any of you have any suggestions as to when to sell these shares, and hopefully buy them back about a week later with the least amount of loss?
I am so pissed at the old firm that I no longer work for, and is requiring me to go through these actions to begin my monthly disbursements, but there are no waivers for situations such as mine.
Any vision coming from you guys would be very helpful, and appreciated.
Or is that just 200?
Did I just see a 200k purchase?
Thanks PG. Does your projection on dividends reflect quarterly, or annual payments?
It would have worked out. You still would have made it in time for the drinking.
You're wrong ML, so we won't.
Nebraska just ignores the rest of the country.
Not a lot of profit taking so far today.
Currently: .76 euros (.83 US,, 1.10 Can)
Here's what I use. It's just shy of passing it's high from yesterday. Currently .728 euros.

I've been watching the canadian and german markets. Big jumps over the last 2-3 hours, but it's much calmer now. We seem to parallel them pretty closely. I'm betting on.80 US, and would be happy if it didn't drop from there.
right to the point
Scandium International on the TSX climbed up 4.5 cents today. Any commonality?
I'm in Hastings for a couple of days.
Does everyone think the 16 March Town Hall will be more of the same? I may just cancel my visit and read the results on the forum. I could have gagged when I saw the plunge today.
