Shortround, thanks for your input...... I think we're in a good place here, patients prevails.....
BTW,
KEYW holding corp appears very similar and has clients similar to what SCS is dealing with. If VLDI is in fact a superior security product, things will work out just fine. KEYW is currently at $8.00, however at the time that article I posted was written it was at $14.96 with a high of $22.18 last March/April.
Shortround, does this product appear similar, or in your opinion would VLDI's claims surpass what KEYW has to offer?
Good info, that's huge!
I'm clueless as to how many new products are out there that are capable to make a difference, however I think VLDI is in fact a solution. I get surwins skepticism, however I'm a bit more optimistic. Who knows exactly what's happening behind closed doors and I'm sure they've been waiting years for this roll out opportunity. I'd say by summertime we see serious momentum building.
Here are some examples of the potential of this company. I'm not sure how the VLDI product measures up with these companies, but if in fact their product is superior to what's currently available, good times ahead. Anyone have input on estimates for signifficant rollout and implementation? I would expect 12-36 months for signifficant confidence and roll out imo. But then again, I'm not someone with expert knowledge in this arena. This appears to have the potential to provide a gold standard for city, county, state, fed governments, as well as Fortune 500 companies.
Although this article is a year old, it gives an idea of the potential value on a competitive product.

I think starting with data centers is a brilliant move. Once implemented on that end, the other end should require implementation as well in order for communication and data transfer. This immediately gains hundreds of customers, not just the one host location. Imo
As previously disclosed, I'm no IT guy, but this is what I'm seeing here....
Mobile operating systems would greatly benefit with VLDI as their security standard.

That's big! Captain let us know how the drive by goes....
Looks like there are dozens of mobile security software companies on the roster at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Maybe more of a crowded space that I was aware of. That's a little concerning, however I'm not knowledgeable enough in this field to make an educated comparison.
Mobile world congress would have been a great venue to show off some VLDI performance.. I read an article regarding android users having the ability to turn on or off encryption. Apples encryption is turned on when you set a password for your phone. Anyone know what type or quality of encryption they are using now, and how it compares to VLDI? Shortround?
Winner, I couldn't agree more..... I invested in a product I feel fortunate to come across. I have other investment vehicles, and a regular job. Therefore I don't have the time to constantly trade on daily penny stocks. Not that there isn't good money to be had, but my buy and hold is for companies I feel have true potential. AND believe me, if I was a partner in a multi-billion company I helped grow, you would not see me here commenting on penny stocks. Although, I have grown to appreciate good discussion.
I would pose this question to shortround as I believe he has firsthand info on this. We all need to be skeptical, as we know how much fraud is out there. However I place value on all of their public claims. I think the next few months will dictate the direction this is going. Id guess by summertime we should have clear direction one way or another. I'm confidently in, and I try not to micro manage by looking daily, but I'm entertained and look forward to the discussions.
Agreed Captian, this is a whole new discussion. Im completely against big government in every way. I'm going to stop there with my discontent, as I just deleted several sentences of my venting. However....... Safety and security of our country, businesses, and financial institutions should be a top priority and we need to mandate top line security to prevent theft from not only local hackers, but foreign governments as well. We all pay for these failures one way or another, either were directly affected, or our tax dollars are used for recovery.
The federal government has been talking about the importance of cyber security and possibly putting mandates into place. I could see the insurance companies mandating clients (big banks, retail, automobile, any insured company dealing with personal data and money) to have minimum standards of security, otherwise they would not be insured. If there were a federal mandate that all of these potential clients were required to provide such cyber security, this product would fit right into place as a new standard of protection for business.
Shortround, thanks for the input..... It's nice to have someone with more knowledge in the field elaborate. I do have the same curiosity as Capt, is there any buzz in this field regarding this new and improved stand alone product? This must be impressive to those in the know?
Shortround..... What's your input on this news?
This sounds significant, although with my limited knowledge I'm not sure how significant. I'm just curious if one of the Chanel partners is a hardware manufacturer, or a prominent widely used application? Is this big news in cyber security and software development? Thanks for your input. Nice to see discussion activity....
Clearly a lot of investing is a gamble at times. However, when I heard of this product last year, I couldn't find a reason not to invest. This is clearly the right product at the right time. I also think it takes more than three months after roll out to build momentum and to determine true value. There have been many press/investor news releases indicating what the product is and who is beginning to use it. For those of you who smell fraud, I doubt it. If the info released is ficticious, believe me there would be an investigation with accountability. My only concern is I'm not an IT guy, so I don't know what else is out there that is similar and what a similar product would cost to create. 15 years seems like a long time for development, especially not knowing at that time the kind of threats we would be facing now. Genius forethought?????? Hopefully by end of year momentum will be at full speed with revenue, or negotiating buyout by one of the larger players in the game. There could be a lot of activity going on behind the scenes we are unaware of, although a hint of something would be nice. I believe we potentially have something great here........
Right! The timeline couldn't have been any better for product competition and rollout. I guess a little sooner would have given more time for marketing and name recognition. However if this product is as advertised, a creative marketing and sales team should be able to create an enviornment where this product will sell itself. I just hope we're not too late to the dance with all the other products already having name recognition and effective marketing. There is a perfect storm for Validian if the cards are played correctly. I'm optimistic!
VLDI-isn't this exactly who we should be targeting?
Please read this message about a recent cyber attack impacting Anthem.
To Our Members:
Safeguarding your personal, financial and medical information is one of our top priorities, and because of that, we have state-of-the-art information security systems to protect your data. However, despite our efforts, Anthem Blue Cross was the target of a very sophisticated external cyber attack. These attackers gained unauthorized access to Anthem’s IT system and have obtained personal information from our current and former members such as their names, birthdays, medical IDs/social security numbers, street addresses, email addresses and employment information, including income data. Based on what we know now, there is no evidence that credit card or medical information (such as claims, test results or diagnostic codes) were targeted or compromised.
Once the attack was discovered, Anthem immediately made every effort to close the security vulnerability, contacted the FBI and began fully cooperating with their investigation. Anthem has also retained Mandiant, one of the world’s leading cybersecurity firms, to evaluate our systems and identify solutions based on the evolving landscape.
Anthem’s own associates’ personal information – including my own – was accessed during this security breach. We join you in your concern and frustration, and I assure you that we are working around the clock to do everything we can to further secure your data.
Anthem will individually notify current and former members whose information has been accessed. We will provide credit monitoring and identity protection services free of charge so that those who have been affected can have peace of mind. We have created a dedicated website - AnthemFacts.com - where members can access information such as frequent questions and answers. As we learn more, we will continually update this website and share that information with you. We have also established a dedicated toll-free number that both current and former members can call if they have questions related to this incident. That number is: 1-877-263-7995.
I want to personally apologize to each of you for what has happened, as I know you expect us to protect your information. We will continue to do everything in our power to make our systems and security processes better and more secure, and hope that we can earn back your trust and confidence in Anthem.
Sincerely,
Joseph Swedish
President and CEO
Anthem, Inc.

Based on the read it appears early to mid 2014, as they did cite the Target hack as recent, which occurred in late December 2013.
This would be an absolute perfect purchase for Apple and/or Android or other phone manufacturing company to implement every app in the App Store. Sure would be nice to know notes, medical, banking, and all our other personal data we access via apps is secure.
Validian @ otcstockreview.....

Firstly, thank you for ending that other BT technology discussion. Let's talk about a few things here.....
How long has Validian been developing their product, 10-15years? I think Bruce became president/CEO 2005, however involved prior to this. Does it take that long to develope such a product? Did someone have the forethought 10-15 years ago, knowing we would need this product? I'd say brilliant and VERY lucky timing.
All of the articles, news releases, and company statements over the years was a sign of progress and development. I would guess this product is years ahead of the competition and we should be fortunate to know of it. The day a friend asked me my opinion on this, I was all over it and couldn't believe the timing. I felt very fortunate to have been turned on to this company.
Marketing, and proving the product doesn't produce income or a buyout immediately. I don't know anyone involved in this company, but after a little research I believe Bruce to be an educated guy, with experience and involvement in the development and sales of other technology related companies. I also believe this company value to be more than the others he was involved with. To what extent, I don't know.
I like to read opinions and generate discussion on this, but realistically this seems very legit to me.
Timing is everything.... Stand by!
Short,
Thanks for the response, very informative. This current environment sure appears to be a perfect storm for a company like VLDI.
I suppose if this company has been working on their product as long as indicated, they should be way ahead in the game. Now should be their time, considering the current environment. I'm really surprised not to see more activity for VLDI with its potential. There was a recent news story on some MIT people creating encryption software for whatsapp. Not sure if they can just get that out in a few months, or if they are competition for VLDI? There are other software encryption/security companies out there, will VLDI's product be superior?
