I didn't see anything about a fine. How much, and what are the implications of paying it rather than disputing the charge?
Understandable POV. I TRUST Baltia's management to be doing the right things however. That's just my conclusion and everyone is entitled to their own. My faith in the FAA however, is the same as any other Gov. agency. Just look at the DMV, or any US City's traffic court. Reality, justice and respect for the people are long gone. If the FAA had any integrity, there would be no slide issue for the last 30 years to hinder Baltia's progress. How do you deal with a licensing agency that holds your fate in their hands? Any new suggestions I'm sure would be welcome.
We can ask and the FAA can say "Wait"! Problem is you we can not demand anything. Does anyone wish to guarantee the funding to sue the FAA in court? The entire certification process would be suspended until the lawsuit were concluded, and Baltia does not yet have revenue to support such an undertaking. Reality is what it is no matter how unfair. "Nobody said life was fair." Baltia is doing everything it can to back the FAA into a corner of having to capitulate, without being hostile. Unfortunately, the FAA has the ball, and the game can't go on without it. I think it's apparent that nearly everyone here believes Baltia will succeed, or they would have moved on.

Lets face it. Once they issued a PR of the start of the Mini-Evac/Ditching Excercise, the next PR worthy event is a PASS. Anything else is a forgone conclusion that the PASS has not yet been issued by the FAA. Yes it sucks having to wait. But I assume that everyone is still here because the risk vs reward scenario fits their portfolio.

Some people did have to leave early. They would not have heard that, as it was at or near the end of the ASM.
OK, here's a first hand report, No hearsay. I personally spoke to Mark Mazor. He said there was no 7th or 8th test limit on the # of mini-evacs that were allowed. He also told me that he was not involved with Baltia's certification. He DID say that the test was ruled a fail, and being challenged. He DID say that the most mini-evacs he had personally had to conduct for a certification was 3. (Which by all accounts is less than average.) This is not my opinion, these are the facts as stated by someone, returning my call, from Mark Mazors Phone # at the FAA.
WoW!!! Are they really on the list of certificated carriers, not applicants like avatar. Does the "Not Effective" comment mean they have to finish Proving Flights now??? How come this hasn't been PR'd yet???
DOT gives BALTIA Economic Authority as an Air Carrier.
FAA must issue Air Carrier Certificate.
See the following for clarification

Not to worry. Traders time is now, Investors time is coming. And YES, it WILL be soon! In the end, traders will have made a little, Investors will make a Life changing sick amount of $$$.
Thanks Speckulater. Always nice to have information backed up with documentation.
First two weeks in January is just speculation. Does anyone know what the FAA time requirement is, for when they have to reply to Baltia's meeting from 12/16?
Actully, They solved an industry wide issue which the FAA, Airlines, Airplane Manufacuturers, and Airplane Slide manufacturers have been unable to do, EVER.
Also, posting the number of the office they just moved FROM doesn't help. As always, Anyone with questions can call Public Relations / Anthony Koulouris at 1-718-244-8880
That's getting old... Phones, lawsuits etc... please link to support any such dramatic statements....
There is no set limit on the # of EVACs that an airline may attempt. Considerations such as defective slides from FAA approved vendors obviously have to be considered since they have a 37% failure rate. IF they're had been such an agreement, the FAA would have already passed Baltia, since their crew have performed in an exemplary manner at each Mini-Evac.
Please clarify. Standstill, March Evac Tests, Bankruptcy, Weather problems, Lawsuits, Employees all let go, Antique aircraft.... That's just this week. I'm, uncertain as to how many of these things can be going on at the same time.
I agree. To do otherwise, would be detrimental to the FAA and the airline industry as a whole, as well as the Public who would have to suffer the fallout. After such a thorough and well documented presentation, the FAA cannot justify failing Baltia without shutting down The entire industry for the same deficiency. I fully expect the FAA to do the right thing, and have Baltia demonstrate R1, with the slides that were packed under Baltia's own oversight. A good backup plan, would be to have a law firm ready to force the issue. One does not threaten the FAA, unless left with no other option.
Of Course. Moving to JFK...
I was pleased to meet Igor, Barry, Tony, Cheryl and PapaNasty at the ASM. Others were there, but I don't remember 100% so I won't throw out their names. I was only a little annoyed by the Guy from the African Airline who was trying to buy out Baltia. Can't blame him for trying though.
I love It!!! 100 times return on investment with a 56.8% chance of success. With those kind of odds, $10K here, $10K there... We'd all be billionaires in no time. It's like being a kid in a candy shop!!! If all stocks had nearly that much chance of success, You could drop $100 each, and watch the dough roll in...
He's already stated that it's at a stage over his head....
Share Holders meeting on the 21st, Winter Solstice on the 22nd. No matter what, our days will begin getting brighter the week after next.
Barry Clare's absurd paycheck was $20,850. The rest was stock in the company. He has enough faith in Baltia to take his payment that way. In conjunction with that, he has not sold ANY shares. These are the types of things that SCREAM credible. Thank you Barry for having faith in Baltia.
I'm looking forward to meeting some great people at the SH meeting. I'll be the one proudly wearing "TheNewGuy66" on a name tag. I live a mere 20 minutes (No traffic) away from JFK, and even I can't believe I haven't gone to Baltia's offices yet...
One thing for certain, he knows a lot more of whats going on with the management of the company, and the communication with the FAA than I do. His history of giving factual information is very good also.
I hope you're not asserting that this post from more than a year ago has any relevance. The whale in question owns approximately 10 times as many shares as he did LAST October.
Simple obvious logic that Baltia is fully Legitimate, and the FAA is the current hold up.
With worried investors going so far as to make phone calls to the FAA, (I was one of those who called "Mark Mazur"), it's certain that the FAA is aware what investors are being told.
That the 7th mini-evacuation test is currently under review by the FAA. That the issues with the slides are an old, unresolved FAA thorn.
That we are waiting on the FAA (Possibly to cover themselves), to allow any further progress.
Some penny stock companies may try to scam investors by staying under the SEC's radar. By being so much in the FAA's face, Baltia would be inviting the SEC to come in and take action, if not for the fact that they are 100% Legitimate in their current position.
Any other conclusion would suggest that the FAA and SEC were part of something they should be dealing with.

Considering 90% of businesses fail in the first year. A company with a 26 year history is pretty damn reliable.
Not sure where you're getting that "twisted in a knot" information. The pictures that were posted (7/29/2015) showed what appeared to be all slides deployed. Nothing was in a knot hanging off the side of the plane. A link to your source would be appreciated...
Federal employees work interesting hours. I myself usually work 7 days a week during the holiday season. Often 12 hour days. I realize that I work for the Postal Service, not the FAA, and some will not like the comparison. The fact is though, that we do what is needed to get the job done. I'm sure the FAA has it's own priorities and will do what is necessary, when they have crossed all of the T's and Dotted all of the i's......

And ultimately, the FAA is responsible because they have been certifying the vendor for years. My guess is they are working on ensuring that THEY come up smelling like roses.... IMNSHO....
Here's what I think of old planes. The F15 Eagle is Still considered # 4 in the world.
The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter designed by McDonnell Douglas to gain and maintain air supremacy in aerial combat. It is among the most successful modern fighters, with over 100 victories and no losses in aerial combat.[3][4] Following reviews of proposals, the United States Air Force selected McDonnell Douglas' design in 1967 to meet the service's need for a dedicated air superiority fighter. The Eagle first flew in July 1972, and entered service in 1976.
So poor Baltia has a Plane from the 70's. Back when America's quality was at its best.
I can't prove unicorns don't exist either.... That has nothing to do with unsubstantiated statements about Baltia....
That's what I'm asking. If someone is going to make a statement like that, at least link to your source, so someone can confirm it. But the request for a source was of course, ignored...
Everyone got paid that was supposed to. Some employees are not full time, until proving flights begin, and are on a stipend system. Could you please provide a link to the information you're referring to? Then your question could be addressed specifically.
No. FAA personnel recommended a pass. Waiting on their boss's concurrence.
It may also be that as Vendors look to increase profit, they have been hiring minimum wage workers to do what is obviously an important job. When many airlines originally certified their Boeing 747's, they were fresh off the line, and being done the right way under strict supervision is my guess.
Ummmmmm... It was inside a sealed, certified package that no one is allowed to open. That's why they had the FAA seal the doors with security tape after it was installed. To irrefutably prove that the fault was inside the sealed package from the certified vendor. Yet Baltia's maintenance crew did know, because it's been happening all along. Why would you keep spending money to repeat Mini-Evacs, knowing you're being dealt a rigged hand.
Kudos to Baltia......
The FAA officials at every point so far have recommended a PASS! Baltia used forethought in ensuring the Process would not just arbitrarily declare the Mini a fail, due to an external control causing a slide to incompletely inflate. Based on past experience, Igor "Stacked the Deck" by submitting an irrefutable mountain of evidence, that everything Baltia did was correct. In asking for a pass, he made it known that trying to hold Baltia accountable for a Slide packer's mistake, would not be accepted gracefully. In the normal environment of government bureaucracy, (I work for the USPS), managers and administrators are forever lacking in clear authority to make a firm decision. Obviously, each one of the FAA officials is making sure to CYA in this process.
Hopefully now more people will respect the information that is offered here so frequently. While many have expressed doubt about what "We all knew", that doubt has now be alleviated. Thanks Speckulater, and all those who have been helping keep me and others near, if not actually in the loop. If the FAA would step up now, my day would be officially made.
