Great getting to meet a lot of important people in this project and from this board. I mostly went to the meeting to get the feel of the locals and if they were for or against the project. Even though I am originally from the area and hear things through the grapevine, it's good to see myself. As I expected, I got a strong feeling they were for. All questions/concerns were answered well. The question about the Corps was not completely answered, but I got the feeling that it shouldn't be an issue and they gave all the info they could. With that being said, we are at the corps' mercy. Another concern was, what they are going to do with the water they take out? it sounded like they have options but the actual answer to that won't be released until the feasibility study is done. I doubt this is too big of a deal. Those were the only concerns I still have. A lot of local politicians were there. Tony and the governor were not. Some big wigs of OPPD were there. The mine will need a substation to support it... So I am sure we have OPPD's attention. I was told that it will take 2 years to build a sub but it also won't be needed until mine is operational. Great meeting Elkconquistador, always optimistic, freedom5, and saw Omaha investor but didn't get a chance to say hi to OI. Missed the famous TO Double D! Lol. Scott, Mark, and Jim are great. Glad we have them running this company. Nothing new as far as info except I know firsthand that there is a great vibe around this project from all aspects. good luck to the longs!
