Hank, thanks for the great news. My big blunder in buying PLC is getting less serious.
I thought VIVEVE had an annual meeting scheduled for July 22. Why no news? Anybody know what happened?
Hello Investors,
Now, the mountain is building under this share price at 1.00, technicals looking good. After the 1 for 10 reverse split, the share price should hit $10. This is the minimum price to attract institutional buyers. The amazing thing about this ambitious plan is that VIVMF is poised to pull it off.
I never would have believed that my loss from PLCSF bankruptcy is about to come back. Patience my friends. Still a lot of risk left, but Viveve may get on the investors' map. With millions of shares tied up, it will be easy to keep the price at 1.00 plus. The trick is to watch if insiders start to bale after the annual meeting. This is why they have to attract institutional buyers to take up the shares after the split.
Calm waters until the split. Then, turbulence ahead with upward bias. Followed by results of sham-proof study early next year. If results are as good as expected and sales begin to accelerate, we will see big gains.
Even if I get back half of my losses, I will celebrate.
Thanks, Carusso, for asking. After reading the lengthy report by VIVMF, I believe that this company is really serious about becoming the leading medical delivery for women's laxity problems. If so, the stock will reach $10 per share without reverse split.
However, this will take a long time, and the number of headwinds listed in the report is enormous. So, for the near term the reverse split may bring in more new investors after the insiders release their shares for trade. Nothing works better than the bottom line: sales. But stock manipulation is a favorite trick among penny stock companies. Maybe, this won't be a penny stock for long.
I will approve all the provisions in the proxy vote just released, including the reverse split. Let's give this company all the rope they need (hopefully not to hang us out to dry).
Sentiment: Hold until investors' meeting has settled.
Investors, 153 page S-1 just released by Viveve.
Insiders can now sell 32 million shares after SEC approval. That will result in 53 million shares outstanding.
These shares are held mostly by business people who have some interest in the success of Viveve, so I am hopeful the price of shares will not plummet from these transactions.
Get ready for a bumpy ride! But hold on to your shares, this is a serious company.
If they can implement their marketing plan, which is described in detail in the report, the company can become a dominant figure. I say hold this baby for about two years and realize a fortune.
Not heavily by institutions, but by insiders. Not the same thing, but close enough to in your case to warrant buying and holding. Viveve is rewarding its management for the great job which they have not done yet!
Good luck to all investors.
Schedule 14A-Information, Point 4, filed a few days ago with the SEC. Viveve called it a Pre-Schedule 14A.
The exact ratio of the reverse split, up to 1 for 10, is to be determined by the Board of Trustees and announced at the annual meeting in July.
The company also will create millions of more shares for their company options and incentive plans. In other words, they will dilute the share base for their own gain and then reduce it on the backs of investors. BAD MEDICINE!
However, if they (with all their incentives) can market this product around the virginal world, we will be able to materially benefit.
Sentiment: Hold, but buy it up if it maintains support level after the reverse split.
Hello Again,
I was just getting optimistic about this stock when I read that the Viveve Board of Trustees will announce a reverse split at the upcoming annual meeting, may be up to 1 for 10.
Just like a gang of bandits to dilute the stock by issuing millions of new shares to their cronies, known as insiders, and then calling for a reverse split to bring down the number of shares, which they are giving away.
The management calls this strategy "incentives." I call it dastardly rape! I want to see growth of value in the stock, not a great giveaway.
How do we stop this company from raping the investors?
Hello Investors,
Today's trading showed that the the pressure to sell under the current support level is low. It should be up from here as soon as the company releases some hopefully good news on the interim results from the research study. Also, some sales figures would help the case, to be released in mid-August.
The technicals look good. According to a S&P firm report on Fidelity website, the "stochastic" technical indicator is "extremely bullish." This is important because it is an indication that random fluctuations in the trend line is upward bound. After all, the historical chart for VIVMF includes the activity of PLCSF, which should be discounted.
One more thing, they discussed "vaginal laxity" on the new show "Happyish. Media attention is good news.
Yes, Carusso, I noticed the same thing-- differing stats.
I did research on Fidelity site and found a report of -.40 for the PE ratio. Their debt is .8 of their capitalization. So, as far as I can see, VIVEVE is still in beginning stage of the growth cycle. That is, research, production, and distribution. Apparently, they have a multitude of backers. The perfect formula for going deeply into debt and diluting the stock to pay off the insiders.
They just entered the South Korean market. Let's hope they can sell this contraption and appease their female customers, which is the research outcome.
I am confident that the management is dedicated and experienced.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Thanks Ospreyeye, for your astute and brilliant analysis of the action in VIVMF. As powerful as technical analysis is for this stock, fundamentals can trump it and will in the long term. Based on the technicals, it will come back to Earth, although I hope not back to .53 base support level.
Please do not bust my balloon, again! I made a cardinal mistake by putting my daughter's college fund into PLCSF? If God is in heaven, he just changed his name to VIVMF!
Viveve just announced a distributor deal in Taiwan and the south Asian area, including Singapore. If they can get sales established worldwide, they can produce a profit even while locked out of the US market. However, with appropriate research data, FDA approval will come. We need value, not just momentum.
Hold on to this stock and prosper.
Great to have such fantastic momentum. Zacks gives VIVMF an "A" for momentum, but an "F" for value.
Any ideas on how high this stock can go before they turn their balance sheet around and produce some profit?
The momentum alone will generate a buzz among all penny stock buyers.
I just double-checked the information on the Viveve website. The investors meeting is on Thursday, May 28.
If you have different information, please give me the link.
Thursday, May 28, in the Big Apple, NYC.
GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for the clarification. My apology again to GVInvestments for crude remarks based on my misinterpretation.
I could have used the M Group before I lost my daughter's college fund on PLCSD during the year of their pump and dump. I had been following PLC Systems for over 15 years and was high on the Renal Guard, especially when the company announced multiple uses and imminent FDA approval controlled studies.
Since then, I have been very testy about my investments, especially when I think that someone is implying that Viveve is following in these foot tracks. Sorry GVInvestments,
I know that we are committed to helping each other make sound investments by sharing information.
GVInvestments,
Assuming from your response that you merely asked an innocent question, then I am guilty of misinterpretation.
In this case, please accept my apology for assuming that your question was rhetorical. I never meant my remarks to be ad hominem. I meant no disrespect.
Maybe you can help me understand the point of your supposedly simple question. What is the "M Group"? I thought they were the insiders and financiers behind Viveve. I also thought your implication was that the big money people will buoy the stock price and then dump it for their profit and our loss. By the way, this is exactly what PLC Systems did to their stock, and I lost a fortune.
As I wrote in my last post, I do not believe this is the scenario for this stock. It is a solid investment, albeit high risk. Without the support of the wealthy insiders, the company could not implement their business plan. I am praying for this company to succeed, so I can get back some of my losses.
Please tell me what I am missing.
Respectfully yours.
GVInvestments, your rhetorical question and satirical implication is sophomoric.
For sure, all serious investors in this stock should be overjoyed that the so-called M Men are buying it. Among all the factors that make a stock substantially rise, insider trading, private stock sales, and large holdings are at the top of the list.
Of course, a buy back is better than an offering. However, VIVMF needs to raise capital to proceed with their business plan to produce and distribute the product globally.
Great plan, great management, and, now, some working capital. Eventually, we will see some top line growth of revenue to sustain the stock price. Profits will be lagging due to costs of operation from research and building a network, though long term outlook is bright.
So, let's ride on the coat tails of wealthy investors and insider M Men until the fundamentals take over.
Message to the one percent: buy now.
I finally feel good about VIVMF. This action is fantastic.
It is listed by some analysts as "almost significant insider trading." It seems very significant to me. Remember, there is only a small portion of the 50 million shares that are floated for public trading. This means that, if the insiders keep their shares for long term, this stock will continue to soar. Any good news will create demand while the supply is limited.
Unfortunately, I do not get my huge initial investment back until the stock hits 5.00, oh my!
I am holding for the long term. This company may have a gold mine.
Sentiment: strong buy.
This action is spectacular! Notice that the highest volume today brought the stock back down but still a nice gain for the day. Yesterday, the late volume bid it up. This means we are getting intelligent investors to follow this stock. Keeping it within bounds is important technically, so as not to create a bubble.
Viveve management has this under control. Controlled study with growing distribution network around the globe. The only question is can they sell it with enough volume to create a net profit.
I wonder if women from fundamentalist countries, especially in Middle East, will tighten their private parts when they are under male dominance. Another big issue is how to get it into the US.
Bottom line: I am glad I kept my shares. Buy while the price is still low.
Good news all around! Thanks Stocktrademan.
Investors, don't sell too quickly if this stock continues it's rally. If this product sells to women around the world, this stock can soar. It is long term gold.
Strong buy!
Hello Investors,
Just how good is this news that VIVMF raised money from private stock offering?
They are marketing now in ten countries.
If they can sell this product, we are in great shape. If not, just more stock dilution and we get screwed again.
What do the rest of you think?
Sentiment: buy now while price is at bottom.
Hello Investors,
With low volume anything can happen. However, what do you think it means when VIVMF goes up over 20 percent on 900 shares?
Is this a sign of uncertainty?
If they can sell this thing, we will see it go sky high in the future.
One more thing, is there any plan for FDA approval?
Buy it while you can afford it.
Hello Interested Investors,
Yes, the placebo effect is a researchers key obstacle to finding significant results in any controlled experimental study. However, statisticians know a few ways to lighten the load of the effect. One way is to use more subjects in both groups. That way, the difference between the groups does not have to be as dramatic in order to be statistically significant. Another way is to use a higher probability level for type one error in the statistical analysis. This is all very technical, but I assume VIVEVE has at least one good statistician on the team.
I have not read the research proposal, so I cannot give an expert opinion (I am a Professor of Educational Psychology). However, I think that over 100 subjects is a realistic number to overcome the placebo effect. I agree with the previous post that VIVEVE has a good management team.
Also, I am praying for a positive outcome since I am heavily invested. It may take a while, I agree, but this company has a good development model for their unusual product.
Buy while the price is low.
To All Who Follow VIVEVE (especially Magnetics):
You could not be more wrong in assuming that women are not concerned with vaginal laxity just because they do not discuss it openly with others.
As a matter of fact, women consider the way their private parts smell and look as very important issues in their life. This is a "women's issue," so do not be surprised, Magnetics, that your female friends will not discuss it with you. Recently, The New York Times had two feature articles on women's private concerns about their bodies. The number one concern was how their vagina smelled with its appearance in terms of laxity being a major concern.
Now to the point, VIVMF is still an infant company. Their management seems competent in terms of credentials. Let's hope that they can show some competency in terms of action. All I have seen so far is diluting the stock with new shares and warrants.
Can we all pepper them to sell the product first and, then, reward themselves with new shares.
If this company can make a profit, all major investors can become wealthy. I am still hopeful, and I do not mind waiting. The exploratory study is already underway. The new president of the company is experienced in developing small companies to become attractive to large ones for buyouts.
God be with all of us who have large stakes in this company. The rest of you should buy while the price is at a low.
As soon as end of year selling is over in one day, this stock will go up.
Zacks has raised rating to buy. Get ready for some upward momentum.
This stock has a lot of potential, though it might take a while to convince the public.
Experimental trials are on track. Let's hope they can prove the claims. The demand should be there.
Men, do not fear making money off of a women's issue. Buy now or pay more later.
You guys are really encouraging; I hope it is not just wishful thinking.
I agree it's too low to sell. The question is when do we sell before the insiders try to unload their vast holdings?
Will we see another pump and dump as with the dastardly PLCSF management?
Let's pray that the new management is in it for the long haul.
I saw a report on Yahoo Financial that VIVMF is negative $65 per share as of June, 2014 filing. This is going to be hard to make up. Let's hope the company can give us some encouraging news--and soon.
Hold on to your seats; this is going to be a bumpy ride!
Now, we need to see how serious this company is about courting Wall Street.
Insiders must hold tight to keep OS to a minimum. Company must keep float down and not dilute the share value. Company must be able to beat expectations, which are set low at this point ($3 loss per share). Good news should be released as a surprise to investors rather than an expectation, which can be discounted.
Viveve needs to pump up distribution in Hong Kong and Europe. Viveve is about to enter the Mexican market; good news I got from Patricia, the CEO.
With new markets and new patents as news, I think this one is about to soar.
I loaded up on PLCSD while I could to lower my cost basis per share. My break even point is about $7.00. Anyone in their right mind think this stock will ever get there?
God bless you all who are risking hard earned capital on this one! It's a buy.
I am new to this board because of Techiie. He is a great asset for us all, so well informed that we must pay attention.
I bought PLCSF at various times since 1993. I had 1,600,000 shares before reverse split with $.11 break even average. So, now I own 16,000 shares at $11.00 cost average. I refused to sell because I trusted the bastards from PLC to make a profit, foolish of me, of course.
Now, I trust the Viveve management to do the same. Am I still the fool? The message board at Yahoo thinks that this product for women is a joke. I agree with those here that it is a vital service to our sometimes better half. But the only matter to me is can they make it profitable and get into the US market? If so, we are all going to get richer, indeed.
Techiie, you are a Godsend; keep us informed.
God Bless all.
