PERI
skepticism yes, like there should always be. But there was widespread support on this board. It's not like you were the only one buying.
KINS
Wow, I'm a little surprised they got someone to underwrite $12/shr. I just remember seeing as many shares as you wanted in the $7s not that long ago. That actually might be a good move by the company; I mean, next bad winter for the Northeast and they will be back in the $7s....
OT Trump is president
Anybody feel different?
Aw man...hweb don't worry I'm not going to spill the beans. I am a big supporter of letting people make bad decisions if they really want to. And yea bodybuilders are that big because of their creatine and protein powder, wink wink :)
Supplements are a total scam. And herbalife is a pyramid scheme on top of that. So a scam upon a scam. That said I own NAII. As the saying goes I invest in the world as it is, not how I think it should be. And NAII is too cheap In my opinion.
OT aw you broke the streak!
PERI ok I'll play devils advocate. The reason not to buy is can you really ex out the amortization and acqisition expenses from earnings? These guys have a long history of bad acquisitions. If they continue that trend, the amortization is a real expense because it is a reserve for future bad acquisition costs. If they save up the cash and, say, delever the balance sheet, it is cheap. That said I own a small position I think they deserve some credit for the cash flow.
In my opinion FWIW
Hey your guy is the one who wants people on welfare. I think people should educate themselves so they can create actual economic value, and therefore earn their salary instead of needing trade tariffs to artificially inflate their pay above the economic value of their labor.
Best phone app, double posts 4 hrs later lol, plz delete
Yea seriously, we could have 5+% economic growth, a fiscal surplus, and end poverty! All we need to do is cut taxes across the board, rape the environment, and let magic do the rest!
Yea seriously, we could easily have 5+% economic growth, a fiscal surplus, and end poverty! All we need to do is cut taxes across the board, rape the environment, and let magic do the rest!
Yikes, how fast will the bottom fall out on this one? A big red -50% is not good for business...
They don't need an auditor, it's totally normal for a company to book their profits as an increase in intangible assets.
Bought some PHO.v ($0.78 CAD) this morning. Reported adj 0.018 vs 0.014 on +46% revs yoy. Backlog at all time high. c$.275/sh in excess cash.

Lol good one, maybe one day when I grow up I will be mature enough to waste my money on pointless crap - btw, how's oil doing these days?
lol
yea these millennials need to grow up and stop questioning elections that Republicans won! On the other hand, all the elections that Republicans lost were obviously rigged! Unfair!
Great propaganda, there's no way to write a similar post about Trump!
MEET You guys give these momentum traders way too much credit. This move is momentum traders rushing for the exit. And for those saying the problem with sexual predators is new there is at least 1 article on SA from last year that mentions it. True, the momentum traders didn't know about it but they trade on technicals anyways.
No position - thought it was interesting at $2.6
ACY what gets me is they spent $13.5M on those 2 planes which is more than the market cap of the equity (based on the last trade)...
re backing out SBC, I have 1 problem with that method. If you back out SBC, it is not enough to factor in current dilution. If you apply a multiple to current earnings ex-SBC to get a value for the company, you must factor in future dilution as well (notice this runs into the same problem of estimation as expensing does). This will mean a lower PE ratio than you would apply to an identical company that paid its employees in cash. Either way will give you the same valuation, but in my opinion it is simpler to expense.
Hope this makes sense.
IEHC continues to disappoint with estimated earnings of .14-.15/sh, assuming normal taxes which they have a habit of underestimating.
EVOL I agree, I'm paying some tuition on this one. Should have known in advance. Without a div or earnings where is the bottom?
curious where you heard about the supertax, TIA
FB their active users just keep going up in a straight line...remarkable.

sry, on phone
Gv at 1.95 filled, nice to catch one 9f these kiddie stocks for once. I think it was interesting at $1
MHH congrats to the board. Thanks for sharing this one.
I like ACY actually. I owned last yr at 9.25 and sold I'm the 12s. I think it's likely I'll be able to do the same. This company is at such a low multiple of book that any asset sales (if sold at book - they have actually been able to sell above book) or plane crashes reimbursed at full value by insurance are actually a good thing. I have a decent sized position at 9.1. Willing to wait patiently until it happens.
All in my opinion.
Looks interesting, thanks for sharing.
The curse of the value investor :) going long and strong at 52 wk highs with leverage is a strategy that works until it doesn't in my opinion
Disrespectful, bad grammar, bad logic, bad everything, what a post!!
If this is the first time you've seen a company talk up the size or growth rate of their industry then I have no response.
CETX they need to get a new auditor, I will give you that. I would just be careful, my feeling about this stock is the negativity is following the price, not the other way around. In my opinion the better explanation for the oddities you mentioned is #1 goofy management and #2 empire-building at high cost.
Just like when FONR was in the $9s and everyone was complaining about bad capital structure, no growth, and lower scanner sales. And now its in the $16s with a bad capital structure, no growth and low scanner sales. Negativity follows the price.
I no longer own shares in either
if you bet it all on black and win does that make it a good bet?
if you bet any amount on black and win does that make it a good bet?
Ugh...who reports on a Monday morning? Oh well maybe they will drop back into the low 2s again.
I'm highly skeptical of performance records that start in 2004. For instance wade if we start your record in 2001 we get a very different number. Just my humble opinion
I had a feeling that would happen with the big rally we'be had recently.
PCMI wow is right...most optimistic outlook I've seen in a long time. Nice work by the board on this one.
I'll be surprised if I can add in the single digits tomorrow.
I guess not...up 11% AH
EVOL looks nice in the 5.7s. I was a little worried about the Q4 comp but the market had a good reaction to the one-times. Looking for the market to have a similar reaction to good adjusted numbers in Q1 vs an easier comp.
UIHC added today. I was a bit surprised by the very positive reaction today, but I'll take it. Wouldn't be surprised to see this one back in the 19s before hurricane season starts.
