I made a lot of money with CODA, I hold my investments in the company for over five years, and at one point made almost 2000% return on my initial investment. Fantastic!
But I got out a few months back, I want to thank the management, but I think it's time for Ms. Gayle to step down as CEO.
Too many questions raised lately (in my opinion) about her motives, and most importantly too many enemies and frustrated employees as you can see here don't approve her personally: https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Overview/Working-at-CodaOctopus-Products-EI_IE36674.11,31.htm
Glassdoor is an excellent supplement for your investment research.
Nevertheless, I might join the ride again in the future! I think that the current market price is cheap.
Any estimations how much deal with the US military can be worth?
99% it’s not insider. Non of them will invest 400k+ in two days, I doubt if they even have this amount of money on hand.
Most likely new funds or institutions investors.
We have about 3 to 1 new institutions buyers. maybe some of them are loading new shares.
Go to ownership tab > institutions > buying & Selling

Absolutely agree with your analysis.
in 08/03/17 I wrote:
"I am pretty sure that we will see an increase in the shareholder's equity.
in this pace, within 3-4 years it will be like the market cap of today.
Like I said before I am holding for the LONG run, don't worry too much about the PR, it will come with time as well.
I can only hope that our current great management will continue to invest heavily in R&D and hopefully not make some leveraged (or not leveraged) acquisitions."
and on the 02/15/18:
"I am feeling like the R&D team does an amazing job, one thing I would improve if I was the CEO of the company is the sales team, make it larger make it stronger! you need to back the R&D team."
Statement #2 is improving I hope (we will see this year).
Buffett Bought in!
Joking Joking! :) I feel like this is one of those rare stocks where if you invested early enough (i am in since 2014) you can get very wealthy with even small initial investment. I like Peter Lynch theory.
from every 10 investments, 5 will lose, 3 will stay the same & 2 will make you rich (several folds up) haha
Technical BS, always looking at the back mirror.
Well done long term CODA investors, well done management.
If you remember a few months ago there was a big inside buying.
I am feeling like the R&D team do an amazing job, one thing I would improve if I was the CEO of the company is the sales team, make it larger make it stronger! you need to back the R&D team.
BOOM! Just wait guys we have grate management team.
Interesting to know what is the contract value and its duration.
Well done!
Yap, Thank you man
Hi multivalue, Do you know when is the Q release?
Cheers!
Very quick response by Annmarie Gayl.
" Many thanks Good point you raise. I will be on this straight away."
She is absolutely shareholders friendly ;)
Great! Thank you multivalue.
Cheers multivalue, Can you send me her email please?
Just sent it to David (investor relations) from MDC group
"Hi David,
First, As a long time investor (since 2014) I want to praise the management for doing an extraordinary job with increasing the shareholders equity, not chasing silly acquisitions and investing heavily in R&D, Philip Fisher would have been proud. well done.
There is one thing though that I would like to suggest in terms of appearance.
It is very hard and not straight forward for new investors to find the group investor's website.
For example on google finance and morningstar the link takes you to the http://www.codaoctopus.com/ website instead of https://www.codaoctopusgroup.com/
Another issue is that codaoctopus.com website doesn't have any visible link that direct you to the investor's website.
I hope you guys can talk with google and morningstar to fix it asap.
Have a nice week!"
(I just realized that David is not part of CODA company so all of the praise worth pretty much, well, nothing LOL). anyway let's hope they will fix it ASAP.
I am pretty sure that we will see increase in the shareholders equity.
in this pace within 3-4 years it will be like the market cap of today.
Like I said before I am holding for the LONG run, don't worry to much about the PR, it will come with time as well.
I can only hope that our current great management will continue to invest heavily in R&D and hopefully not make some leveraged (or non leveraged) acquisitions.
I expect gains in equity and stronger balance sheet in the next report. great job management, keep it up.
Sure thing. can't copy the whole article as it's illegal.
there is a plan and funding in place to build what would be the biggest tidal power scheme of its kind in the world in Swansea (Walsh).
The government is too slow to give go-ahead for the project, but if it will happen I can defiantly see COGI as a UK based company involved in this project.
It is more to keep an eye on thing.
"Investors in a proposed £1.3bn tidal power scheme in Swansea Bay have put further funding on hold and warned that the project risks stalling unless the government gives a green light soon."
From the FT, This project can potentially be a big customer of COGI?

Solid quarter, increasing the equity by 3m in 6 months. well done
COGI best thing is that they are focus on one strong product.
Also, Most of the R&D and marketing expenses are spent on it.
I will argue that for COGI are still VERY small and can at least double the earnings and keep the margins in the next few years.
And the managment is just fantastic so far!
OK, No growth talking here although I will be very surprise if we don't see some in the future years, but just in case, it's all based on current earnings.
1. The current ROIC is 32%, next year it will be 34% and around the end of year 9 assuming the company will be able to finance growth with their own money (they already start doing it by purchasing a property in UK using 1.5m in cash) and when all the debentures will get back their funds it should go up to 83%! its means very very profitable company that can & should grow without the need for any external financing.
2. New R&D projects will start being realized (money terms) at the end of 2017 and 2018.
3. The service segment responsible for more revenues which means higher profit margins which means more captive customers, Great!
4. More revenue expected in the next few years from existing customer at price tag of around 500K per system. (page 9)
5. "in Europe there were four significant wind energy projects and all of these projects adopted our technology" (page 9) - Look up for wind energy projects in Europe, There is a good chance that we will be part of it.
4. The GBP/USD exchange rate written off about $1.1m from assets but even then our equity went up about 10% from 10m to 11m. yearly, about 400k in sales can be gained if the pounds goes up to more historical levels.
5. The company open new subsidiary in Denmark just in case of "Hard Brexit".
6. I simply love the fact that insider directors resigned from the board of directors on the 08/03/17 to make place for new independent directors. (page 17)

Went to read :)
Amen my friend :)
My average buying PPS is 0.92$ after the reverse stock.
I hold the stock for about two and a half years and it's been my largest holding since, I all the time added some more to my holding when it was cheap.
This holding and this company is a long shot; great moat, amazing management and it's translating in to very good margins and returns. bear in mind that the 9$ per share valuation is not taking in to account any growth, that's because personally I don't like to speculate on the future.
Now it's time to just sit and enjoy the ride.
based on franchise value, probably around 9$ per share.
Time to Buy, and buy and buy :)
