Worth reviewing for anyone who doesn't know who Dan Kelly is.
The addition of Dan Kelly was a perfect fit for this company imo. I'm glad he's staying as President.

I hope you all saw today's pr!

To be aired Friday October 5th at 7:50 a.m. ET and again twice during the day.
Set your alarm! Set your tivo!
masterplanner, your worries are over. the dilution has already occurred. The 10Q for the period ending March 31, 2007 shows outstanding shares as 21m and the 10Q for June 30, 2007 shows
outstanding as 41m. Accordingly, the share price went from about 2.00 to just under 1.00.
Additionally, if you examine who the largest shareholders are in the list given in the registration filing, (the one that Derek posted) they are not likely to sell just as their business is getting started.
Any other opinions welcome. I'm long.
The GE transfer fell through? I did not know that and I thought I had read everything there was. Wow. No wonder
there is excitement :) Thanks.
Question, Why are we interested in ABT presenting since they have transferred their license for the technology to GE?
Hope someone here can tell me so I can share the excitement.
Long BOCX too
e.Digital/Fusions portable has a huge capacity next to Mustek's.
Not even comparable. Just noticed that. Which would I buy? no contest :):)
mustek - 16 minutes native capacity, or you can add up to a 512 mb card for a full length movie.
fusion - 20 gig hard drive, 40 hours
This could be a very lucrative deal. Quick search found only one other portable like this, by Mustek. Would be great to see what Fusion/e.Digital's looks like. (to compare to Mustek's) Are there others I didn't find? Thanks for the links guys. Here's mustek's btw: http://www.widget.co.uk/asp/product.asp?recorprod=1&product=464&cat=104&ph=&keywords...

Thanks Sentinel. As stated in the recent shareholder's letter I see. Good luck to us all :)
What is Edigital's connection to Wistron? Something said in the conference call? Thanks for catching me up on this point.

Summary of player reviews from all over the internet listed on this website by ecoustics.com. This page has reviews from 2000. I tried to change the url to 2001, but that page could not be found. Maybe they will add newer reviews as they happen. Still, a nice compilation. http://www.ecoustics.com/Home/Home_Audio/MP3_Players/MP3_Player_Reviews/2000/
Liquid Audio Granted Patent for Watermark Technology
Robust Watermark Technique Protects Music, Maintains CD-Quality Sound
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Liquid Audio, Inc. (Nasdaq: LQID - news) today announced that the U.S. Patent Office has awarded the company a patent (#6,209,094) for its technique of embedding watermark data in digital music files. The watermark technique, invented by Liquid Audio engineers in 1998, is part of Liquid Audio's Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution and is designed to help content owners protect their music for digital delivery without compromising audio quality or consumer flexibility.
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990915/LQIDLOGO )
Watermarking is a process whereby data that defines permissions for a digital music track is converted into sound, then ``mixed'' with the music. Media players can then be programmed to detect the watermark and obey the permissions set by the content owner. Liquid Audio's patent covers a technique for embedding watermark data in an audio signal that is both robust, cannot be removed from the audio without destroying the music, and imperceptible-cannot be heard by the music listener.
``This patent on our robust watermarking technique underscores Liquid Audio's commitment to provide innovative technology that addresses the current challenges of digital distribution,'' said Leon Rishniw, vice president of Engineering at Liquid Audio, Inc.
Liquid Audio offers a four-part DRM solution to protect music distributed on the Internet including encryption, watermarking, copy control and copyright management. Liquid Audio's DRM technologies were developed to provide content owners with a method to protect and enforce the rights associated with digital music that is published, delivered or accessed electronically. Liquid Audio DRM is one of the most widely used system to protect music copyrights and enables more than 10,500 artists from 1,200 labels to securely distribute their music online.
Liquid Audio, Inc. is a leading provider of software and services for the digital delivery of music over the Internet. The Liquid Audio solution gives musicians, record labels, Web sites and music retailers the ability to publish, syndicate and securely sell recorded music online with copy protection and copyright management. Using the Liquid(TM) Player software, available for free download at www.liquidaudio.com, music fans can preview and purchase downloadable music from the more than 1,000 affiliate Web sites in the Liquid Music Network(SM). Traded on Nasdaq under the symbol LQID, Liquid Audio is located in Redwood City, California.

Tinroad, unless he's hyped up from the show! Yeah, I'm not looking for anything from him tonite. Wonder if he was spending just Tuesday at the show.
the hammer - Zibel's probably still typing!/
acrazjo, I'm getting downright obsessive about buying more EDIG. At these prices, the change jar looks like a pot of gold!
acrazjo, this excerpt from the 1/5 PR from EDIG says the products we're in with Samsung use Dataplay media. The photo yepp does not. So....there is no hard evidence:
"e.Digital and Samsung are working together on DataPlay-enabled products that will be featured at Samsung stations in the DataPlay Pavilion . The Samsung products integrate e.Digital's proprietary MicroCAMT technology with DataPlay's digital media technology. These products include a PCMCIA Storage device and an MP3 encoder/ multi-codec music player."
acrazjo, that's the $64 M question! eom
Thanks to matt, Yippee! I'm in! I had a problem registering and he took care of it very fast. Love the personal service. So, now back to the Samsung discussion...
