Never spin off a company that has good potential to growing earnings.

Check out the Veltex thong!

If the dilution starts again, I'm selling my shares and heading for cover. As much as I want to be a shareholder of Veltex for the long-term, I will sell.
Max
I own Veltex shares but I am not a basher. I tell it like I see it.
Max
It comes down to understanding the value with everything in this companies environment determining the stock price. If you include that some knew of the anticipated dilution in the fall of 2004, a huge tax break and give the speculated estimated for 2004 at .52, you will see we traded at a realized PE high of 7.5 on 12 November 2004.
Max
BULL$HIT.
Max
You mean to tell me that you don't think a $5 million write-off will have much of an effect on an estimated $5 million dollar extimated net income for 2004? If there is a write-off now, you'll see it at such time when it is completely disolved. Get rid of a write-off and its 30% tax break and you have just lowered the .75 EPS for 2004 to .52. If there is a write-off to be had, you can bet it will be there in the audit.
Max
Sam, don't forget the possible trucking division write-offs still taking effect in artificially inflating net income. We won't know what (if any) write-offs there are until the 2004 audit is released.
Max
Its worth it to someone.
Max
I agree 100%. Now look at it this way; issue shares at a low price, still get the needed financing and yet keep the majority-shareholder status. The only one that makes out good here is the buyer of the newly issued shares. Who might that be? It all makes sense now.
Max
It doesn't matter what the anticipated numbers are when dilution pops up. Thats what has us all spooked.
Max
Gonna make another acquisition? How is this going to get paid for - dilution?
Max
Guess I got a little over excited there. Just found out through the grapevine it may only be a 1.62% change.
Max
Just heard on the news China could be adjusting the exchange rate of the Yuan as early as next week. May see a nice rally in the markets today and a possible falling trade deficeit in the future.
Max
Doesn't he have a new book coming out - A Case for Peace? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Max
You are. Give me his phone number>
Max
Have you asked them about the report?
Max
...but you were close. Thats where I met him. We graduated together from graduate school.
Max
Nope, Business Law at the University of Maine. We shareholders could file suit if we thought the stock price reflected his idiocracy.
Max
I see your point about #7. Now look at it from this perspective; Its eight o'clock in the morning, you're watching your news caster and you see Veltex has had an order placed for $100,000. With nothing to compare it to and limited information, you move on looking for a better story. The next time Veltex scrolls by, you don't bother reading it - you just move on.
Max
Its this week.
Bahahahah
Max
Do you realize you have committed libel? You are an idiot.
Max
Here are some ideas to get this stock price moving:
1. Announce an end to the dilution. Due to the up and coming release of the 2004 audit, Veltex can borrow money instead of issuing new shares - as you all probably know already.
2. Instead of wasting our money with OTCGrowth.com, buy a spot in the Wall Street Journal, like many companies do, and announce the release date of the 2004 audit along with slightly lower than expected results. If Veltex is going onto a larger board, lets start iniforming our future shareholders now.
3. Release the 2004 audit on the announced date.
4. Announce the release date for the 2005 1st quarter report.
5. Release the first quarter report.
6. Announce updated 2005 year-end projections if the update is better than orignal projections.
7. Cut out these bullcrap sale announcements for $100,000 here and $200,000 there. These announcements don't reflect well on people who don't know the history of this company like ourselves.
Max
Tomorrow is the 8th and we still haven't seen the follow-up order from Sun Shirts - not good. This will be the last week for the 1st half of the quarter and no 2004 audit - not good either. Looks like a lower trading range is on the horizon soon. If we do trade lower to 90 cents or so, I'll probably kick my self for doing this but I'll pick up 2,000 more shares.

Spoke with my personal broker this afternoon and asked him why it was that I can seem to always sell OTC securities short and not run into any problems with non-marginable securities. His answer, "The list isn't comprised of enough stock securities to consistantly check for trading availablity and the bulk of the list is money market funds, municipal bond funds and some bonds - we will let you know immediately while placing your trade if there is a problem."
Also asked him why is it that people can't trade short stocks under $3 through brokerage firms such as Etrade. He says you can but you have to get approval first. The no trade under $3.00 is a general rule. I assume that this has alot to do with equity requirements.
I went on a fact finding mission and found this slightly outdated list of non-marginable securities: http://www.americancentury.com/acb/non_marginable_securities.jsp?sidebar=/sitehelp/brokerage/brokera.... What joke. My broker was right. Although this list doesn't include bonds and treasuries.
I think I know who the people are that have never sold short a security before!
Bahahahahahaha
Max
I have learned something - none of you have personal brokers!
I thought you all were better than that!
Bahahahaha!
Max
With all due respect, George, if you are asking me questions like how and where, a couple of paragraphs here on InvestorsHub is far, far too limited. My friends ask me much the same questions.
So, this is what I tell them: get a copy of Graham and Dodd's Secuarity Analysis and a copy of Martin Prings Technical Analysis Explained and study them. When you are done, then maybe we can talk via the phone.
But I will still answer your questions on a limited basis.
Where? In any brokerage account but you will have to open a margin account. How? You have to sell short on up the tick when selling short OTCBB securities - this is like a saftey net for other investors to help prevent a facilitated and deliberate falling-off-the-cliff stock price.
You are right in your concern. I wouldn't suggest shorting penny stocks without experience and good FA and TA emplyed. And yes, TA can be used on the intraday charts. I use intraday TA all the time to buy and sell index tracking derivatives. This can be a real cash machine if you have experience understanding macroeconomics.
Here's an easy one for you - CPTC. This company filed for bankruptcy today. At the moment a company files for bankruptcy, 99.99% of the time the shares are absolutely worthless. But here, CPTC is still trading in the 40 cent range. If the stock falls below thursdays low, sell that pig short! If it rises first thing in the morning sell short after you think volume has reached its peak with a nice spike with very little price change. Who knows, might take in 10 or 15 percent tomorrow.
Max
By the way, If any of you like to short stocks, here are a few on my watch list:
MJET, SMTR, PCSV, CTSC, and IVHG
Max
Thats your opinion not mine...
But how do you suggest that cash flow is reflected in the price of the stock if the market doesn't know what it is?
What is reflected in the price of the stock is risk as exemplified by a PE of less than one. Risk as in not knowing - no evidence besides the smoke coming out of the company once in a while.
Max
Want everyone to know I pulled that out of my A$$.
Max
George
I don't know what the deal is but I suspect that cash flow is considerably lower than net income - the loss from the trucking operations is a considerable write-off. 5 million dollarish, maybe? It kind of explains why shares where still being issued after the KCA purchase. On the bright side, we may too speculate that cash flow is rising due to the recent lack of dillution.
Max
OTC.Com to increase invester awareness.....
We haven't traded this few shares since September '04.
BAHAHAHAHAHA!
Max
Supposedly after the 2004 audit. The audit was said to be released sometime during the second quarter. The 2003 audit showed up about a month behind schedule. Its feasible to believe that the 2004 audit won't be released until the 3rd quarter.
Max
Do you think I was born last night?
Max
Hey, Rawnoc
Although I'm long-term on this stock, there seems to be alot of trading going on between the 1.09 and 1.12 levels. A close of 1.12 or even better, 1.13+, could spell a nice little swing to the upside for a short-term trader. I've seen this one played out before.
Max
False information. Thats what.
I'm sure some remember the days last fall when we were to see $1.10 a share in earnings and things like "Veltex sees no reason for stock decline" while we were going through the DIE-lution. That was a classic!
Have you read the audited financial statements? In the 2003 report Veltex had consolidated sales of $15 million. At OTCGrowth, It states $20 million. What is going here?
Max
Yeah. I found it down in the disclaimer area.
Max
Someone had better get that business summary updated - its the first thing people read.
Max
Nice, sarcastically speaking. That is old news. The only thing that has been updated here is the share count and contact information. 2004 expectations haven't been updated with unaudited results. How much are we paying these people again? Geez.
Max
