You are thinking of IREP. I posted the abandonment letter below.
Vice President of Commercialization eh? You mean like Chad Zaring of Medtronic?
Yes Mr Taco that is right
MDT has power of attorney over the patents licensed to them and their attorneys are prosecuting the patents and then billing Titan, or so it seems

IREP patent abandonment, 2nd page.
IREP??? You can’t make this up!!! Bueller.... Buelller???
Nah they abandoned the patent.
Looks like we have another IREP guy
Stop already. It 100% is not because MDT licensed a different snake arm patent from Titan.
He still thinks that IREPS in play
Ok IREP man
No apologies needed. I’m not an IP attorney/expert but it has to mean something as they don’t have it all all of the patents.
Power of attorney for the camera patent
9 degrees of freedom are impressive but mean absolutely zero if you don’t have freedom to operate.
Thanks guy. I appreciate the feedback. Looks like some other significant revenue opportunities that will be proprietary for Titan when available
Or Nurse do you know roughly how much the access devices cost? Also any idea what the cost is for the surgical drapes used with Davinci?
From the guy that thinks IREP is still in play.
I posted it yesterday and you immediately deleted it IREP man
No what’s funny is someone thinks we are still using IREP technology and the cameras aren’t valuable.
You do realize that the camera patent is one of the patents that Medtronic is licensing from Titan. I’m pretty sure I’ll ride with Medtronic’s idea of cutting edge technology versus the guy that still thinks IREP is in play.
IREP- c’mon man really?
Yeah but supposedly they had funding issues. Didn’t seem to have any problem raising that money . So which is it?
Of course he did. Would’ve been tough to say design freeze and then we are changing the robot completely. Funding an easy out for a start up developmental company. And then they raised 18 million in the blink of an eye.
Oh you mean because Medtronic asked them to pivot and bring development in house?
Funding issues? They’ve raised close to $300 million
Why wait you can buy the SPAC symbol now and benefit from the huge bump once they list under RBOT
Then surely you are invested in that robot. Good luck to you.
Sorry to hear that Beast. The lack of communication is appalling. They are late on their Medtronic milestone. A milestone that a publicly traded company withholds from their investors despite the fact that it is one of the only things that bring shareholder value. If we don’t see big changes before the general meeting, I will vote no to McNally as return as Chairman, no to RandAll returning to the board, will draft a letter to Giovinazzo laying out how many milestones Titan has missed under McNallys leadership with very little transparency and suggest a search for a new CEO. Is there any investors in our group that would be interested in a board seat? I would love to see representation of the shareholders on that board. It’s not a private company.
Great point and the reason that the big players involved will throw Billions at it.
Opportunity Cost - if you don’t understand it better get used to it.
Yeah he can’t put out a statement about AR and then not have it. Sounds like you’ll be moving your money over to vicarious. Good luck with your investment
Digital Surgery huge in augmented reality and interestingly enough McNally has said they will have those capabilities.
How can you say that? Vicarious value was 1.1 million and evidently some stakeholders felt that was to low. They have 4 patents. I lost count of how many Titan has. Titan is submitting for IDE and human trials end of this year. The other company is out until at least 2023 and perhaps 2024 if they can get the hardware right which their may be significant hurdles. The two aren’t even a little comparable at this point.
Who says it’s unsellable? They just got 41 million from the biggest medical device company in the world. And that’s pre approval. How many surgical robotics companies are able to do that?
“ .and they are getting massive funding after 7 years of stealthily developing their platform. ” - Sounds like another company I know
Not saying they didn’t consider it, just that they may have misstepped.
Don’t see how they are getting around the arm patent. From what I understand all those patents go through Titan and Intuitive
It looks like someone has a clue. Great point fly! Sizzler here we come.
Time to get your Popcorn!!!
