Something of note Cary Vance in his presentation to Wainright said very definitively that they would beat Vicarious to market. Interesting thing to say when you got no money or prospects.
Who needs Medtronic? Shop this thing around. If I’m Cary Vance I’m calling my old buddy Fred Moll up and asking him to take a spin on Enos, I’m calling Intuitive, Olympus, Stryker, Boston Scientific, and even Google, Amazon etc to see their interest in diversifying and interest in health data. At least we have a guy with a sale and marketing background in there now. I believe he is doing this as we speak. How bad does Medtronic want this? What are the ramifications of letting it slip?
Good or bad news?
Good or bad news?

If you want something to bark about, there were 25% of registered investors represented at the AGM. I think Cataford said they needed that in order for the meeting to be official. The Chairman of the Board had roughly 21,500,000 votes counted. Less than the 25% that was represented there. And, almost a 1/3 of the total number of votes (55 million) that came in for the appointment of the auditors. You mean to tell me that investors were more concerned with getting their vote in for the auditors than the chairman of the board? Something smells in Titanville!
My thoughts are Medtronic better get aggressive soon or they will be bidding against JNJ, ISRG, or some others in med tech looking to diversify. Additionally, this is where I could see some additional strategic collaborations/partnership start to evolve. A Colubris would be interesting.
Important to know our potential competitors. Thanks for sharing
So they are suggesting it’s gonna be a year to transition from 510k to DeNovo. Something tells me that’s not gonna happen……
I believe CMR and JNJ’s Ottavio are both going denovo route.
He had that fund before he started at Titan.
No. Not saying it will but also not saying it will tank it. They don’t need money right now. A raise at these levels would seem really misguided. Unless… it was a private placement with an equity stake from a big player. That would be very good dilution and would be received well!
Or liftoff.
“ For the pro RSU people. Cataford would not be able to apply these IF THERE WAS A DEAL IN THE WORKS. His advertising this means basically they are a limp dick swinging in the breeze. ”
Unequivocally FALSE. Accelerated vesting on buyout and/or assumption of RSUs which can be vested at at a later date by the acquiring company. Careful who you listen to here. They may not be reading the fine print.
So sad what they are doing to investors over there
And crushing IP issues
Raised 18 million within a day. Don’t know if that was it.
They will find a way to find fault with anything that happens, belieze that. Personally, I don’t know how else you could paint it if there is a follow up deal. Would be more than a vote of confidence which is what the first deal was. Another deal would be complete validation of what they have! Does Medtronic want Titan to walk without having that board observer in place? We will know soon enough.
You didn’t know this was a distinct possibility going into this investment?
Oh yeah, is that why CMR, Medtronic and JNJ are asked to go DeNovo too? Seems to me that Vicarious doesn’t know what the path is yet. Or maybe it’s just the major players are clueless. Which one is it? Any other brilliant theories?
Is that right?
I’m not really a Star Trek fan but this reminds me of when the USS Enterprise has its shields disabled and the Kling-on’s are battering it again and again and all hope is lost right before Scotty comes on the com’s to tell Captain Kirk - “our cannon’s are operational” and sulu tells Kirk the Kling-on’s - “shields are down”. Followed by Kirk exclaiming - “FIRE!!!!!” We all know how that ends……
I bet the cannon’s will be operational soon enough.
Nothing? Really? Medtronic doesn’t point to the possibility of that?
IP worth more than that, imo. And that is not how a CEO “resigns”
No a logical theory doesn’t include thinking McNally called the shot on leaving.
It’s an anonymous internet message board. It happens both ways. Plenty of predictions of bankruptcy, and the tech sucks and no one will want/need it. When you get that kind of rhetoric you will get the bold predictions the other way to balance the noise.
Hope so
Perhaps they had to prove they could deliver on the prototype?
Please don’t state it as fact. If you read the agreement it clearly mentions 3 robots.
Let me ask you this. If the 4th milestone is completing a prototype (he publicly stated goal) and the interim CEO says they are on track for completing milestone 4, and Enos timeline has been extended two years, then it’s can’t be ENOS correct? - why not? Timeline means nothing and if we are going by that Medtronic delayed FDA submission of Hugo. Who’s to say prototype isn’t snake arms to be used in Gen 2 of Hugo? What if they are incorporating camera prototype?.
My best guess is the prototype is something that could be used in 3 platforms and would need to be related to the IP Medtronic licensed. There is one patent that stands out among all else. Would make sense to me to be making an snake arms that could work with Hugo, Enos and an endoluminal robot. If that was the case this snake arm would require a different chassis as the robots are different. Notice emphasis on guess but it is based on what’s said in the redacted agreement.
Oh it is? Thanks so much. What’s your source.
They just delayed their FDA timeline so to your point maybe they like what they see and would like to incorporate it before submitting.
Wow and there it is Frank. Thanks for posting!
Time to get your popcorn???
I have a different view from you. I understand frustration but you can’t view Titan in a bubble. Comparatively speaking they have been pretty consistent with other major players in terms of development timeline. Would you say that they have run into similar
challenges in building a robot as a Medtronic and J and J?
Yeah that’s why the interim CEO dropped Medtronics name 4 or more times in his first press release and a bunch of times on the webcast today because he’s trying to set up investors that have been burned so that they can get screwed even further by pulling the rug out from under them. Makes sense.
The magic carpet thing is already out there. It’s called Vicarious
It was in the quarterly report. They’ve known about this. They know what comes next.
This was what was being said before Medtronic. No one saw it coming, nor should they. Im not claiming we are gonna do great here but I think we are at an inflection point. Something has to happen. They can’t get to 2025 without a strategic relationship in place. I don’t think they would’ve announced this delay if they didn’t have something in place. Milestone 4 and anything that happens shortly following that will tell the tale. It has always been about Milestone 4 once Medtronic got involved. Everything else was noise. If milestone 4 came and went without a path forward, it was over even if we were still on the original development schedule. I think they know this too. IMO, this will never see 2025 unless one of the big strategics jump in. So what am I saying? This recent news while concerning really doesn’t mean too much. This is a complete overreaction. A fair overreaction, but still, an overreaction.
I would hate to see loyal longs sell now right before the real news that they should be paying attention to hits. Good or bad. I’m just happy because I think we are close to the end imo.
I don’t know about you fellas but this is just warming up. Finally getting interesting.
