activity yesterday was really suspicious... did the merger go through? Something must've leaked... activity doens't just pick up like this
I'm looking forward to today
don't start name calling... I'm happy to help if you have a specific question about a filing - but I won't just summarise it for someone's convenience..
please tell us what part wasn't clear or to what part you want an opinion
thx
did you read it?
yes - their revenue exploded over 1year.. impressive!
They're doing it right: having 340k in inventory and doing 2.2Mio sales.. vapo's ratio is much worse..
also: only 48300$ advertising and promotion for 2.2Mio revenue... $VAPO can really learn from them!
but coming with 1.2Mio gross profit and having only 95k net income is... suboptimal
yep, my eyes also went straight to the revenue line but:
they had 770k cash on sept 30th, on nov 7th they have 330k cash.. and tell us now they have to raise cash - on our last quarter I believe they said they don't have to raise... If you were in the management, how would you handle cash? Would you accept such a ridiculous burn rate? (Additionally they hired this nonsense penny promoter...)
Also: Vapor Corp merger is IMO only good because we get such a big piece of the pie, but looking at their financials... not investable at this point.
I'm still long, but not as confident as before
oh god... this doesn't look very good http://biz.yahoo.com/e/141112/vapo10-q.html
oregon legalized it
http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2014/11/dc-voters-legalize-pot-portland-oregon-marijuana
oregon is one of the states vapo has a contract with trtc
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/vaporin-enters-cannabis-industry-distribution-120000260.html
well mcig and ecig are up...something bad coming tomorrow? the pps is ridiculous
maybe old but there seems to be a new product on their homepage:
http://www.vaporin.com/vaporizers/wax-and-herb-vaporizers/freedom-vape-handheld-personal-vaporizer.html/
not so sure about the design...
stupid question: have we actually seen a "marijuana vaporizer" from vaporin or are all these "dry herbs" vaporizers designed to work with marijuana?
ah yes of course
After realizing increased growth quarter over quarter and a gross profit margin of 40% (as of the last filing), the inclusion of another stream of revenue from "The Vape Store" could mean an additional quarterly jump of roughly $650k.
they predict a 650k jump, not total 650.. this is just 2.6mio / 4
this could mean a conservative:
419+650=1069k
or: we had 91k/month in first quarter. 104.75/month in second... so roughly +15%
482+650=1132k
this guy @alldaytrader on twitter claims to have spoken to the management.. could be total bs but maybe he knows how to best reach vaporin
so it's been 20days after r/s ... we should get back to $vapo

Yes to Marijuana Ballot Measures
Remember:
Vaporin and Terra Tech have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement whereby Terra Tech will purchase the Company's proprietary vaporizer products for resale throughout their cannabis dispensary network in California, Colorado, Washington and Oregon.
a good read
Sounds to me like they want to setup a "Starbucks-for Vaping".. 500 stores in 18months is a lofty goal but I like the theme we have here
As for the financials this quarter: I'm more focusing on the costs, they also increased significantly last quarter. but if you want a number go with the 400k or so last quarter and add the vape store revenues.. seems like a good conservative approach (Are they immediately adding the vape store revenues? I'm more familiar with european accounting practices)
Vape Business Booms As 90% of Smokers Try to Quit Cigarettes through Vaping
http://www.mainstreet.com/article/vape-business-booms-as-90-of-smokers-try-to-quit-cigarettes-through-vaping
finally a good article and nothing that smells like penny stock promoters
nevermind got it... seems like a great little location!
is it down? link doesn't work for me
mcig surged and we slide further... maybe we'll get some sympathy tomorrow
always read disclaimers!

although I agree with the article... They paid 75000$ for it (I would write more than 1article for that amount :D)
I don't think these stock promoters will do any good...
Vaporin, Inc. Continues Expansion of The Vape Store Retail Locations
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/vaporin-inc-continues-expansion-vape-120000219.html
very nice:
"The Company is using cash flow from existing Vape Store locations to fund the development of the new store; no additional investment is needed."
and:
"Currently, the Company forecasts approximately $650,000 in annual revenue per vape store."
In other news: Mcig reports after close and expects 195k$ revenue - and they trade roughly +5%
they're still at 74M market cap
meanwhile vapod slips over 10%... *sigh*
great link! thanks! I expect to be the next news to come from their TRTC deal,
"Terra Tech has begun to secure purchase commitments from their
dispensary network"
"Already developed vaporizing pen products for consuming cannabis in oil,
wax and dry herb form with each pen varying in look, feel, size, quality
and price "
lol first time for me:
For 20 business days following the Reverse Split, the common stock will be reported on the OTCBB under the symbol “VAPOD.” After 20 business days, the common stock will resume trading under the symbol “VAPO.”
what's the point of this?
I'm absolutely not up to date with TRTC, but has anyone been following their progress? wasn't the whole problem that they didn't own dispensaries in the areas described? would be very nice if someone could post a little update in that regard
Same here... but when the daily volume doesn't reach your own volume it is worrisome to a point
when the dust settles a bit I only see upside from here on out.. r/s was a big argument against investing before
I'm just impressed with the lack of volume.. sure the gap is nice but even I could press the chart down significantly if it's this thin
his outlook sure seemed positive:
CEO Scott Frohman said, "We believe the positives of the reverse split far outweigh any negatives. Not only are we more attractive to institutional investors but the new structure makes it much easier for us to complete strategic acquisitions, which we plan to aggressively pursue heading into Q4. The post-reverse share price will also allow us to complete financings with much larger investment banks."
Phillip Frost discloses 10.8% stake in VAPO
http://whalewisdom.com/schedule13d/view/frost-phillip-md-et-al-sc-13g-2014-09-08-vapo
cool stuff
from their filing:
[...]at such time that the Company has sufficient authorized capital (which is expected to be on or after September 8, 2014, when the Company's proposed reverse stock split becomes effective)
so Monday could be the day
not 100% sure but I think they mean 20 business days - it wouldnt make much sense else
would point to 10th. and as was before pointed out: the shares are converted - you don't just "lose" them

big news
Although I like your optimism and I agree it should trade at .5 - please elaborate your statements.
which email? are you referring to the letter they published?

you can find the reasons/hopes of the R/S in their 14c filing: http://www.otcmarkets.com/edgar/GetFilingHtml?FilingID=10150770
Purpose of the Reverse Stock Split
The Board believes that a Reverse Stock Split is desirable for a number of reasons, including:
Increase in Eligible Institutional and Other Investors. We believe a Reverse Stock Split may increase the price of our common stock or potentially decrease its volatility, and thus may allow a broader range of institutional investors with the ability to invest in our stock. For example, many funds and institutions have investment guidelines and policies that prohibit them from investing in stocks whose price is below a certain threshold. We believe that increased institutional investor interest in the Company and our common stock will potentially increase the overall market for our common stock.
Increase Analyst and Broker Interest. We believe a Reverse Stock Split would help increase analyst and broker-dealer interest in our common stock as many brokerage and investment advisory firms’ policies can discourage analysts, advisors, and broker/dealers from following or recommending companies with low stock prices. Because of the trading volatility and lack of liquidity often associated with lower-priced stocks, many brokerage houses have adopted investment guidelines and policies and practices that either prohibit or discourage them from investing or trading such stocks or recommending them to their clients and customers. Some of those guidelines, policies and practices may also function to make the processing of trades in lower-priced stocks economically unattractive to broker-dealers. While we recognize that, based on our last reported closing stock price, we will initially remain a “penny stock” under the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission because a penny stock trades at less than $5.00, we think the increase from the Reverse Stock Split will position us better if our business continues to increase as we expect. Additionally, because brokers’ commissions and dealer mark-ups/mark-downs on transactions in lower-priced stocks generally represent a higher percentage of the stock price than commissions and mark-ups/mark-downs on higher-priced stocks, the current average price per share of our common stock can result in shareholders or potential shareholders paying transaction costs representing a higher percentage of the total share value than would otherwise be the case if the share price were substantially higher.
Risks of the Reverse Stock Split
The Reverse Stock Split may not increase our market capitalization, which would prevent us from realizing some of the anticipated benefits of the Reverse Stock Split. The market price of our common stock is based on a number of factors which may be unrelated to the number of shares outstanding. These factors may include our performance, general economic and market conditions and other factors, many of which are beyond our control. The market price per share may not rise, or it may remain constant in proportion to the reduction in the number shares outstanding before the Reverse Stock Split. Accordingly, the total market capitalization of our common stock after the Reverse Stock Split may be lower than the total market capitalization before the Reverse Stock Split. In the future, the market price of common stock following the Reverse Stock Split may not equal or exceed the market price prior to the Reverse Stock Split.
good one ;) You can even expect 4bucks... with big news: a r/s ;)
everything gets split 1 for 50 - you don't just lose your shares.. the amount of shares doesn't really matter in that aspect.
but I'm sure you're aware of that
I'm guessing it'll come next week - the quarter didn't really give any upside to pps...
quarterly released.. http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=63202998&xref=newsalerttweet&adw=1126416
WOOHOOOOO! (sorry was waiting for it quite a long time)
