Now that they will be trademarked, they can spend some money on marketing. It's not really possible to keep others from developing similar applications, as there's nothing especially proprietary about what they are doing imho. But being the first to get the Talent on board is probably key, and it sounds like they've been making strides there.
There will probably be news, but not THE NEWS. Just enough to keep us bag holders hanging in.
Sounds like IBM doesn't need Mikros
I was musing that perhaps IBM has the resources to disseminate this technology far more effectively than MKRS and that they might see the potential and jump at the opportunity to wholly own MKRS as a subsidiary or some such scenario. If the company is just Meanie's baby, hobby or whatever, then we're all probably sunk. These guys hate to let go and the competition usually benefits. I wonder (but doubt) if Naval personnel exposed to this technology sign any NDA or non-competes (just showing my ignorance of the military here). Some trust fund kid on a four year stint might come away with sea legs AND a nice idea for a little company.
I was thinking along the lines of using this technology for Windmill farms, oil refineries, water desalination and perhaps even infrastructure/rail systems. Who knows, but the sky is the limit and IBM deep pockets could ensure a steady stream of R&D funding.
I was thinking/wondering buyout too, and it seems IBM needs a shot in the arm and a chance to diversify, yet in keeping with their traditional offerings for products and services. It would seem a good fit and this sort of monitoring and sensing technology is doubtless only going to become more widely applied going forward. We'll have such technology in our homes telling us that it's time to start shopping for a new refrigerator, heating system or garage door, soon enough.

Does that mean 70% retention is possible/likely to continue?
Business License up for renewal in 2 days. Is that at all meaningful?
Is something about to happen or have we seen this before?
Good, because GTHP and MooseHaven (google it) are my entire retirement plan. :)
Am I right that the last split happened only 5 days after filing?
Not very sustainable. There's nobody around to manage existing accounts if everyone is trying to sell to new clients. They must have a customer service or inside sales rep who is not on commission. I guess it could be a volunteer, but who is going to "bank" on such an individual being around for long, and where is the accountability to make sure the clients are being serviced properly? If I were working for stock in this company, I'd probably have bailed a long time ago and gone to work as a Walmart greeter. But I hold out hope for good news, because, after all, I am a romantic and an optimist.
$30k per month minus salaries, taxes, cost of goods sold, marketing, rent, etc. etc. doesn't leave much meat on the bone though. I don't recall where that number came from but if they have even 6 full time employees, then how long could they survive?
If they have 50% expenses (doubtfully that low), that leaves a net profit of $180,000 annually and if capped at a 12% (doubtfully that low) rate, (for lack of evidence before me for any better rate), then the resultant value is about $1,500,000?
How many shares outstanding?
Probably right around the price the stock is at.
They might actually be able to go on for quite some time like that, without any real net income that isn't used to pay creditors. And they could do well if oil prices rise again (once fracking in the USA is officially dead). But for now I think it's a stalemate and any disaster could put them under.
I'll check this one once a month just for entertainment purposes and sell at the end of this year for a tax loss.
Terry or not...
Will they file?
Well at least we won't have long to wait to find out how truly worthless our worthless shares are. On the other hand, if ETEK is going to do anything at all, they'd best do it soon, right?
Looks like Penzoil has similar products they're touting at Jiffy Lube. I wonder if Quaker State or Mobil would have any interest in a takeover or licensing deal with Eco-Tek Group.

Any news at all?
I can't see anyone having paid very much for THAT old thing.
Do you have a link?
I think we're holding our breath, waiting for news now that 2014 is over...
Coach,
I agree. A company like Meineke, who's apparently already using ETEK products, or a company such as Jiffy Lube could benefit from a proprietary product such as these from ETEK.
However, no news is bad news, regardless.
I'm amazed at how long this co. has been gasping though, and correct me if I'm wrong but they are not technically required to file anything, are they?
I'm enjoying this ride and hope it's not a big zero in the end, but there's some great lessons here, and it's fascinating viewing.
ETEK is not doing itself any favors by remaining silent. They could do a lot of good by sharing some news.
Does anyone know if ETEK at least has some cash on hand?
God help me, I'm adding.
If every little girl and boy who believes in ETEK will clap their hands...
Someone just made a few hundred bucks today, that's all. This thing will hang at .002 or just below for a looong loooong time before tanking to .000, if it doesn't take flight first. I don't consider ETEK part of "The Market" and it is only a coincidence, in my mind, when it follows the general market trend for a day.
It's nearing the end of another month with no news. I'm guessing that if October goes the same, we will see the PPS about the same on Halloween. With news, good things could happen because I get the sense that there's a pressure bubble building and when it bursts, there will be a bit of a run, if only a pump. Nobody wants to sell at a loss so I don't expect PPS to drop significantly unless it's for a short time before recovering back to the current level. Anyone have thoughts?
Children, children. Please be quiet. The play is about to begin.
Any chance one of you wants to take the high road and drop the drama? I come here in the hopes of learning something and I find my time wasted trying to sift through this nonsense. Do you seriously think there's anything to gain here? I replied to this post but I'm not speaking directly to anyone, rather all people who choose to use this space for personal flame wars as opposed to its intended purpose. Yeah, yeah, I'll shut my mouth now.
Was 75 cents the result of a pump? It's been some time now. And what is the reason for the drop, if not a dump, when you consider that they reportedly have good products, and I assume did have good products before current management.
Of course I can respect, and even welcome your insight. I'm only trying to learn something here. I'm not "bashing" anybody, so please don't take anything I say personally. I'm just wondering whether I should consider pumping or bashing, or neither, knowing what I believe about ETEK and wanting the best opportunity for myself. I don't hold very many shares compared to most of the folks on this forum, so I just watch and learn as I plan what moves to make next. Thanks for explaining. No hard feelings, to be sure.
So you are suggesting we all sell and never buy this stock again? Or what? Call it bashing or don't call it bashing. I'm trying to understand the motivation for negative comments. I understand the motivation for positive comments, even if just to pump. Are you trying to help others avoid this company, or get holders to sell? I'm not singling anyone out, but I note yourself and Iran answered pretty quickly.
I don't see the point of bashing or being negative. That's my issue. What does anyone stand to gain by bashing a co.? Is it just for the pleasure of saying, "I told you so?" later, or are they (not picking anyone specific, as this is a general issue) trying to create sellers? Clue me in on the purpose, someone.
I had typed something, then realized I was being a d*ck, and then erased it, but cannot find the delete post option.
Yeah, but what's your point? What are YOU selling?
Okay, great. Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain.
Okay, thanks. But they don't usually work with smaller companies, you said? So this is pretty speculative, right?
Cab you elaborate on the relationship between MAXM and ETEK and what you think it all means? Forgive my ignorance, but please respect my effort to educate myself. Thanks.
Okay, you get a LOL for that one. I want to know if there are any consequences to not filing that should be being reported by any regulatory body, and if ETEK needs to report the expectation of further delays by some deadline?
