test message (eom)
Maybe I'm missing something (and I might be, as I usually spend more time working/trading than paying attention on the boards), but we're pretty much Grandfathered here - new legislation cant be set retroactive...
Right?

Given the recent trading range, IMO people are skeptical - this stock has been on a negative SP trend for quite awhile, so those buying are cautious (waiting for validation) and not over-extending.

Any smart trader knows an anlysts job is to create opportinuty for heavyweight buyers to get into a stock, i.e. a "downgrade" is creating an opportunity, as well as an upgrade doing the same (creating an op for insiders to dump).
Basically, they're whores too.

Recommendation - go to Agoracom Message search and type in his handle for past history.
He's a sniper, and doesn't engage in lengthy discussion. Also if you go back far enough, you'll get a feel for his modus...
His agenda's pretty clear.

Nice try, chumley...but no cigar.
Your past posts speak clearly. You just don't have factual horsepower.
Empty bits. Pffffffft.

Amex Requirements - need some expert opinion
Ladies and gents:
See link - Standard 3 suggests we can close in on Amex listing criteria, provided we log $50M pre-tax (assume FY)
http://www.venturelawcorp.com/listing_requirements_amex.html
Anyone want to comment as to whether we're in the ballpark for meeting these requirements, provided that's the way PTSC wants to go?

OK Mox, I'll bite...please give me your theory why.

Elk - your comments about what you perceive as a hostile actitivy is something that crossed my mind too - Relational Investors is in the background, but one could suspect thay have the horsepower at their disposal to be brought into the foreground if one was so inclined.
I guess we'll just have to see how the next few days and weeks play out in trading activity.

I think those 1.52M are part of what remains in the trust, not Gloria's directly...I Agree the 20K + 8K is hers.
I was curious if that 28K was her own pocket change - I looked for her compensation figures in the last few 10K/QSB, etc. and couldn't get a read on what her salary was...
I believe she's not making *that* much, in comparison to Giff, JW, et al....they're sucking up the majority of the salary (+ their benes and car allowances...) She may be at high 5 figures....
Comments?

Elk,
Looking at the Lloyd ruling, Fogel wasn't cc'ed. Given that, IMHO tend to think not.
What makes you think otherwise?
Thanks and regards
Larry
Elk,
It makes no sense for anyone to start buying this at .10 because perhaps TPL and the Intel Lawyers have convinced Corporate it will get stalled where we are right now - other wise, we'd be seeing something, right?
We're at the precipice (maybe a bad choice of words here) waiting for Fogels Ruling. If it's positive, we may see TPL try a delay, asking for some type of appeal or review, but you could expect Intel to be close by, watching ready to institute some type of measure to provide "insurance" or at the least, reduce their cost exposures in the event their worse case scenario becomes reality.
Assuming we are fortunate enough to be at that point (and oh God, how I hope we can be!) IMHO - any hostile T/O (share purchases) will not result in a significant savings. This is a speculative opinion on my part, because experienced holders (hoping major shareholders) will still be long, looking for greater appreciation before they throw in the towel.
But I've been wrong before, so don't assign high value to my post.
(BTW, I was hoping for a happier ending with your 30 year old, so your waiting would have been worth it....)
Regards,
Larry
Ease, you wrote:
>>I could see Fogel say, "The law is the law and that, albeit, small technicality argued by "the specialist" is enough to rule in favor of the defense."<<
That's what I was after in one of my past posts - have you read any of Fogel's past rulings, and if you have, what is his ruling mindset? - Does he come down on the side of the letter of law, or is he more flexible?
If TPL is employing Cook in it's arsenal, they might be anticipating Fogel's frame of mind in reveiwing a case such asa this.
FWIW...

Ease, how could a court not accept Patriots explanation for proceeding with this case when they were tied up with the Appeal to the Fish case? If I recall correctly, Patriot had started preparations quite soon after final ruling, so I don't recall any unusual delays thereafter.
As a thought, It'd be good to know how the judge (Fogel) has addessed prior rulings, just to get an idea of his perspective and possible frame of mind in looking at this case.
BTW, I've been reading your exchange on RB with interest. Thank you for the education (you perhaps unknowingly provide many of us lurkers) and your insights.
