Why can't Jake give shareholders a solid reason to buy the stock. Where is his connections? Why can't he really get this project in gear? Sad for every investor involved.
I seriously doubt that Effa will get filmed. Prove the nay-sayers wrong.
My goal was to not be as negative during the summer as FONU worked on the permits and construction, but since I own millions of shares, this is tragically very similar to last fall with MDNT. I was willing to lose it all, and unfortunately it looks like Jake can't do anything to create value in this stock except buy an equipment house.
It's a ruse. Why would you buy a stock offering at .02 when stock at .012. Jake was offering the stock at .04 in Feb and it sunk to .03 within no time. It's his M.O... Now at .012. He's got no clout, no Effa, no Yellow, no roads, no sound stages, no significant earnings potential. Why do you think Charles Koppelman bailed? And Medient shareholders took the brunt of the reckless spending.
Why do you think MDNT stock is worthless? Same strategy for FONU just a slightly different team. It's a shame. I will be talking to John Henry today to raise concerns of Jake's ability to continue on going operations. FONU is going to make Effingham IDA look bad, again.
I guess I would feel lucky to convert at .012 when the stock was trading at .03 a few days ago. I wonder how that happened. I wonder what regulators will think of these conversions. Swimming with the Penny Skarks is not safe for investors.
When you promote a stock at .03 and it trades at .01 in 4 days, other people take notice. And I would assume they need to do another reverse split at these levels if they persist below .01. ??
I agree it may not do much---unless he buys a significant amount. The investor community needs to see a substantial shift in policy. If FONU continues to dilute, Jake, Alice and Graham need to have substantial skin in the game. Otherwise the gig is up.
I tried calling all morning without any success. With the Dow down a thousand points it was probably a bad morning to make a phone call to anybody in the financial services.
Insiders really need to think about buying their stock to convince everyone that they're a legitimate company.
Downward spiral could easily end if Jake actually buys stock instead of bloviating.
I was given information that's being reviewed, trying to sort it all out. That's all I'm going to say on the matter. I hope Jake and crew are following "best practices" when it comes to finding investors. Feel sorry for those who bought and are down greater than 80% because this management team isn't creating shareholder value during it's tenure at FONU2. No roads yet, no Effa, no Penny Marshall in Savannah doing pre production work, no soundstage, no Yellow and no financing announced. Just a hall of mirrors in my opinion. Patience is gone. I wish management can prove me wrong.
I agree 100%. Followed Jake into the pit with full knowledge of the risk. However, was I given false information. That's to be determined.
I agree 100%.
This has gotten out of control and Jake has no one to blame but himself. No Yellow distribution, no signs of Penny Marshall, no changes in management style from Manu and Medient, even though they have received permission to build roads. Effa will be the new RIP.
I wish management would prove to everyone that it's legit, that it can really forecast a business plan. I wish Jake, Graham and Alice would inspire confidence and put their own money in the game. That's always been my biggest complaint, but nothing's going to change. I guess their smart enough not to put their hard earned cash towards a losing stock, since they would be broke also if they bet on Medient and FONU.
Applebox acquisition is real, but what's the use of equipment if you don't have a legitimate film studio. I thought I could give them some space (and stop criticizing) in June and August, but they haven't done anything to inspire confidence or salvage the stock. Only the opposite, and it's costly. I was fortunate to buy most of my stock at these levels but what's the use if it goes to .0001 like Medient. Patterns are hard to break, my optimism included. So many pictures have come to Savannah this year. Someone is making money from this boom, just not FONU. I wish I could find something to counter PR and the crew, because stock promotion and business segments on FOX news was appealing. So new shareholders down 40% in one week as the flood gates open. I was hoping that the volume was renewed interest in the company as they promoted their building permits, but the air has been let out of the FONU balloon.
At least I'm young and HAVE NOT mortgaged the house for this venture, but no one likes to be taken for a ride. Was I duped? Only time will tell, but time is flying. This has the essence of Manu in March though May of 2014 except a road is being built. No worries for Effingham. Plenty of growth from the ports coming soon. The land can be used for warehouses and other businesses.
At least FONU has $200,00 left to enjoy. Money already spent. Sorry I didn't listen to PR, optimism was blinding.
You got me. I wish I didn't feel so violated. Trusting management is difficult after watching the stock fall from 0.08 to .01. I wouldn't be surprised if investors file a class action lawsuit for FONU like they were thinking for MDNT if management doesn't change the spiral down past .01. No Yellow and no Effa is just like MDNT and RIP. I'm sure they're thinking of a good excuse. Road construction allows the IDA future development, though, and I would guess the warehouse companies are waiting for the implosion so they can get the land.
Are you suggesting that this is money not well spent? LOL

I think this is what people are calling stock promotion. No worse than what Tyler Perry is doing for his Atlanta project. I do believe that if a theme park is placed on some of the land, they need a rollercoaster named RIP as the main attraction.
Crazy ass stock. Selling for .03 one moment, selling for .013 in the blink of an eye. I sure hope they post pictures soon on the Facebook page and Twitter so the whole world can see!!
Only 2 options currently exist in Savannah. Savannah Film Factory (Magic Mike 2) and the Savannah Film Studio. I know both buildings well, almost bought the Film Factory building to create another studio 2 years ago. But we didn't like the building or the person running the operations. Savannah Film Factory (110,000 sq. ft.) the larger of the two but it has steel support beams throughout the facility. Great for TV production and films not needing much space. Same with the Savannah Film Studio (SCAD owns building) but much smaller than 20,000 square feet listed and small ceiling height.
Savannah needs several 20,000 sq. ft. clear span facilities and that's what Moon River plans to build. They have enough land and they will expand sound stage development.
It's unfortunate that a Tyler Perry didn't want to expend in Savannah area like he plans in Atlanta. However, the city of Savannah is already great for location shoots. Three films currently filming, but someone else told me yesterday there are now 5 in production.
Am I sure Jake and his team can deliver? I'm not sure. There have been delays since day one, but Manu Kumaran is to blame for much of Medient's decline. Has Jake done any better? A little, but the fact that insiders don't buy the stock, except Roger Miguel, is a major drawback--especially when they management has been associated with bad financial deals in the past.
Has Mr. Shapiro deceived shareholders? I don't think so, but only he knows the truth. Time will tell. At least roads are finally going in. Thanks to Effingham leaders for the $1,250,000 for roads and infrastrcuture. Moon River has a lot of work left, and hopefully won't destroy shareholder value in the process.
Keeping fingers and toes crossed. I hate penny stocks.
Unfortunately promotion has never worked for FONU. Look at all the self promotion done in the last 8 months without any success. It's not the message, it's the messenger. FONU near all time lows. I own most of the shares in the float and haven't sold. Everyone else is selling. That's the biggest problem. The business idea is sound and look at all the small towns around Atlanta that are booming economically during the last several years. The reason Effingham Moon River project has not resonated is that Jake keep's on announcing projects and he keeps failing with deadlines. RIP, Yellow, soundstages, road constructon in Spring 2015...plus the fact he ran out of money with Medient and had to shutter the business temporarily. Everyone on the Medient payroll was let go. Now to Jake's defense, Manu ruined it for Medient. Everyone in the Savannah area knew Manu was a bloated, egotistical narcicist with no idea how to run a real company. That was perfect reason to oust Manu's sorry ass, but I don't know how much better off the studio is since no real projects have come to Savannah because of Jake, Graham, and Alice. Projects may fall into FONU's lap because productions want to use Savannah and Moon River is one of the few games in town. Jake needs to stop with the bloviation and bring real business to town like Effa. I wouldn't be surprised if Effa doesn't get done. IF JAKE pulls of EFFA, then there's a chance the studio survives.
Even though I've lost 99% of my initial investement in MDNT and I have take a major hit with FONU, I'm hopeful but realistic that this investment won't create an early retirement plan. Diversify, diversify, diversify. We do need a studio in Savannah, and Moon River has the best chance of success. Good luck to all the longs, we need it!!
The e-commerce play is long gone. This is now a film industry business. I would wait until to September and see if Jake can get the tractors on site as promised in July. Still a big problem if they keep delaying Effa until 2016. I have a few friends trying to bring their projects to Savannah since tax credits are stable. Let's see if Savannah can get a blockbuster by November, interest is still high and Savannah Film Office very good to work with compared to old guard.
Points and concerns raised by PR are valid but the financing in this space is high risk. The entire film space is high risk unless you provide the gap financing. Jake's reputation has always been the wild card.
You are witty
Who really knows. Obviously they are 2 years behind schedule with this "amazing" business plan with the same team players as before minus Charles Koppelman and Manu. Manu really screwed Medient shareholders. Death spiral was in place for MDNT when they couldn't follow through with Yellow distribution. Jake have similar difficulty last year but this year should be different. Plus they have soe cash reserves from the "toxic" debt. Shapiro et al. have a huge challenge and likelihood of succeeding is a coin toss.
A calculated risk. High risk. But if there's money that can be raised from Yellow, then it's worth the gamble. If Jake can't get a distribution deals and finance Effa or sound stage, then Jake has failed once again. Since this venture is so public, he better create value for shareholders or go back to trading penny stocks. I'm hoping for the former. But I have been swindled before, along wth making some great gains in NFLX and LGF. I thought it was a time to mix it up a little bit.
Of course the terms of this financing aren't great for the company, but they don't have deep-pocket investors in Savannah that will pony up millions to get this started. This is the only viable solution for Moon River. But if they can make a profit, make movies, rent equipment and distribute Yellow., then they can pay back this expensive debt.
It's risk:reward DD. I knew the risks are high, but the land lease agreement is the key. While Moon River develops this studio, the land around them is going to increase in value by leaps and bounds after the Savannah Rivers is dredged. Unless your from the area, you have no clue about the port business and other car companies coming to the megasite. Film projects have doubled this year, and now that a decent soundstage (Moon River) is planned, more production teams coming to visit. Equipment rental will be a decent business, since many productions reaching out to Atlanta for equipment. That's why I buy FONU. MDNT dead money.
Conversion should be 1 share FONU for every 400 shares of MDNT. Dilution to the max. Better off with FONU shares, but the road to recovery almost non existent for MDNT shareholders. Wiped out.
No clue. Editiing should be done, but I would hope soon. We've waited too long for Yellow, killed MDNT stock price.
Slowly trudging along, hope the ground dries up for the new roads. Tons of rain in Savannah. The Siren project quite busy at the Creators Foundry, even though small budget. It looks like this was the first film eligible to receive Applebox equipment in a timely fashion--and they worked with Moon River. I would expect that any new films coming to Savannah will follow suit. Ben Affleck project still in the works for Georgia. I hope Moon River working hard for that business in Brunswick. Hope the tractors are making their way over to Effingham. Yellow, anyone???
Toxic? Who knows? Does Moon River have a chance? Of course they do. It's all about execution. 2013 and 2014 were awful in terms of execution, 2015 getting better. Still need Moon River to announce major financing.
No. Did you.
Finally an asset that's making money. The Siren is setting up base camp at the Creator's Foundry this month. This is good news.
Is Moon River gaining traction? Is it more legit? I hope so. For all MDNT and FONU shareholders. I wonder when Jake will actually film Effa? Hope this doesn't become another RIP. Too many investors underwater, MDNT shareholders are never going to recover unless this stock hits $1.00.
http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/4390378960001/moon-river-ceo-georgia-is-on-fire-for-movies/#sp=show-clips
I wonder when Applebox starts paying for itself and when the investors will hear an actual earnings conference call.
And Mr. Shapiro should also have a conference call to give naysayers a chance to voice their concerns. I would like to know all the nuances of financing this project, not the "simple buying of shares to help finance operations".
This is big news. They have to start roads and build a soundstage. $1.25 million going to road construction. It's a start, even though Manu should have had this started in 2013!!!!Hopefully Mr. Shapiro and company can find the financing. We need Effa to be made and FONU/MDNT needs to get Applebox more customers.
Also, new film in Savannah. http://savannahfilm.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=News.welcome
I wish the Moon River team would put on a conference call to go over balance sheet. I think a healthy, in depth discussion about "toxic" financing may alleviate some fears...not all of them, but a few.
Vacation over, amused by such negativity. Jake and FONU2 have a big week ahead with obataining permits and getting bulldozers out to the site. What does a person do when they need money and they don't have traditional bank financing...you find alternative source in the financial market. Sometimes not pretty, but effective. Frustrating to watch this stock travel up to .01 with Penny Marshall news earlier, only to crash down to .0002 on illiqid trading. Finally sold all my NFLX into earnings, great ride from $10 to 90's, but looking for another wild ride with FONU. And no one liked Hastings when trading at 10 (post split value). I watched Hasting's dream get crushed from 40 down to 10, but he persevered. Hope Jake makes good decisions and picks up new investors. I'm flying out to LA for meetings with producers and actors to discuss getting more films to Savannah in a few weeks. Ralph Singleton extremely excited about Applebox acquisition since he can push hard the fact that equipment doesn't have to come iin from Atlanta, NYC or NorthCarolina...it's in Jacksonville and Savannah. Most of the equipment will be brought up to Effingham and Savannah storage facitilities now that the deal is closed.
Adam Sandler's public appearances around town only helping Savannah's cause. Birth of a Nation team much quieter around town because of odd locations in remote areas of Effingham and Savannah. Plus another film starting on Monday. I hope Penny Marshall's dream movie Effa still on, but movie producers can be fickle. And I'm praying every day that Yellow gets a great distribution deal to put money back into FONU/MDNT treasury. I would hope distribution deal reduces need for dilution/release of shares and reduce risk of future price declines. Obvious FONU isn't NFLX, but the sentiment analogy is the same. And there are many ways to make money in this stock market, even though I hate penny stocks. I'm finally break even with FONU, and keeping fingers and toes crossed that Jake and team Moon River can continue to execute. I still wish insiders buy FONU stock, but I understand why they can't at this time. I hope some upcoming successes will change that position.
I haven't seen any of PR's posts since I've ignored his posts, but I gather from other posts, he's still the same cantankerous soul. God Bless.
Have you even met Mr. DuVall? One of the better hires Moon River could have made. You want a long time, successful local running equipment operations. Cheer up DD. Finally close tobreakeven worth FONU, maybe some news about Yellow will cheer everyone up. How about it Mr. Shapiro, can we make some money from Yellow?
Dude, give it a rest. Several months ago they weren't executing on the plan fast enough. Of course I wasn't happy then, and still not ecstatic. It doesn't mean I won't help Moon River Studios build a studio in Savannah. Jake was making promises that he wasn't executing on quick enough (my opinion, not Jake's). But since that time, one major deal has occur (Applebox), and it adds to the viability of Moon River Studios. That was confirmed after discussions with Savannah Film Office and SEDA this week. Take the time and do some more due diligence.
What's frustrating was to hear Manu overpromise and under-deliver. Watching the sloth destroy the company as I was buying stock was brutal. Jake is cognizant of the same issue. And there are still several hurdles to overcome:
1. Distribution of Yellow.
2. Building Soundstage by end of 2015.
3. Road construction.
4. Renting equipment to justify the purchase of Applebox.
5. Winning of producers, convincing them Savannah better than Atlanta.
6. Increasing the value of the land, because current valuation of land requires actual development.
7. Lack of insider buying.
So yes, DD, I have warmed up a little, but I will be skeptical. I still won't sell at this time, and continues to average down. When it hit .0002 the other week, I was pissed, but not paralyzed by fear and bought everything I could. Now, my overall cost has vastly improved. I don't always understand the otc mechanism with bid/ask being out of whack, but I buy for a few years--unless a fundamental shift has occurred. Nothing like that at FONU, just slow execution of the business plan.
PR will never change his opinion and I'm guessing he doesn't own one share of MDNT/FONU.
That's what I love about America, freedom of thought and expression. PR has the right to constantly bash, regardless of fact--and mostly fiction in has case. Off for a well deserved vacation. Back in a week. Computer--OFF.
Why trade a security that has a 20 to 50% difference in the ask/bid ratio. No wonder you hate the stock. I will continue to support this current business plan, even though not well executed yet, and give FONU a few months to put the pieces together. The Applebox acquisition was the best move so far (not many good things have happened in 2 years). If management doesn't make an announcement about soundstage development in the next few months , then all FONU shareholders will be suckers. I don't mind owning up to mistakes. We're all flawed. I'm trying to support something in Savannah that's needed. Have a great day. GLTE.
You could have bought convertible debt in the $100,000 to $500,000 range, and been a serious investor instead of a "trader". Unfortunately the conversions sucked for me and I lost money. It was a terrible decision to invest in Manu, a pathetic excuse for a human being (my opinion). Even though Mr. Shapiro tried to salvage MDNT, it was hopeless. Manu burned down the house and whined when they took all the ashes away. His pathetic excuse for owning Medient was squashed in Nevada courts. He still goes around saying his company is Medient--India but it's not worth any effort, money or time to tell him to cease and desist. The restructuring of FONU that included a MDNT stock exchange is the only way for MDNT shareholders to ever have a chance to recover, but down 99% leaves little chance of recovery. That's why I chose to move on and invest most in FONU convertibles. Stop whining. Either sell your stock and move on, or dollar cost average and hope plans are executed. The equipment deal is great news. Don't overthink this investment. Don't invest more than you can lose.
This doesn't mean I'm going to watch Jake do a terrible job without saying anything. I still believe they could have executed the development of soundstages faster, and distributed Yellow much sooner. I still believe management (besides Roger) needs to buy shares on the open market.
I'm not here to trade. I had a great phone call with our SEDA representative today. Confirmed with him about all the business coming our way, and Moon River can handle the demand with Applebox purchase. He's in Los Angeles promoting Savannah, and now he's thrilled to tell his network that equipment is real, and in Savannah soon. Moon River, I'm guessing, is making plans to ship all the equipment to Savannah ASAP. Other film productions in Savannah have been renting equipment from Atlanta and NY.
Things are moving in the right direction.
Robert DuVall hired.
http://fonu2.com/2015/07/09/fonu2-inc-announces-vice-president-of-equipment-rental/
Nice addition to the team. He already knows the Savannah territory, understands local customers. He will be a great asset when productions look at Savannah as a possible site. Let that Applebox acquisition make some money for FONU treasury.
Even though it's a small amount, I figure Jake has a plan to utilize any money from proceeds from Yellow to fund soundstages and maybe pay a dividend to MDNT holders. I 'm sure he'll explain the exact financial mechanism that will allow this to occur when he announces a distribution deal.
I wish August 29th, 2014 was the distribution date because plenty of money would have come into MDNT by now, preventing the race down to zero last year. It's extremely upsetting that he couldn't get the deal done last year.
