Depends on the timeframe. In the case of SUNW, the market isn't accurately reflecting share price at this point in time based on the financials. That's the whole point of investing in the stock market, to find stocks that are trading at a discount to your own calculated intrinsic value.
Revenue in 2013 was 0. Revenue for 2015 was more than $50 million. Projected revenue for 2016 is greater than $100 million. Those are all facts you can't deny.
Well said Alex. That's the same strategy I am using!
Nice pre-market price action. I'm glad I bought more at $1.88. I was actually hoping it would stay low for a few more days so that I could throw more money at it at those crazy low levels.
$100 million revenue this year. At least one more acquisition. Newly re-branded best in the industry racking solution. This company is going places and I believe that is up up up. Enjoy the ride.
I'm curious what this "proprietary" system consists of. Access database? Custom configured off the shelf product?
Either way, the time improvement is very impressive.
The market is the best judge but the time frame is the important part that Naz is forgetting. Let's wait a few years and see where SUNW is at and bring up the topic again shall we?
What is Hayden?
Good to hear that there may be insider purchasing on the horizon. I think that would definitely boost confidence.
Time will tell, but I think the ship will be righted and head towards a more realistic valuation of $3.00+ although I still think that is very low based on comparable companies.
Never thought I'd be able to get more shares for this cheap! Basically guaranteed to double your money within the year at these prices...
Your arguments are trite at this point. We all understand you don't like the company.
Financial Analysis 101 tells a different story regardless of how you want to paint the picture.
Thanks for gracing us with your presence; always a pleasure.
If you're a trader, yes. If you're an investor, no.
we just need more acquisitions!
Who knows, with a solid acquisition this may be possible!
Fixed, transposed a number initially.
Projecting FY 2016 Revenue based on FY 2015 data.
Now that we have Q1 numbers, I thought it would be fun to extrapolate out the Revenue based on the proportional revenue from each quarter last year. Bear in mind that with the acquisitions last year, these numbers won't line up exactly. But it's fun nonetheless:
Numbers in Bold are actual data.
Numbers in Italics are projections.
I think you misread the release. They spent the money to increase inventory (Meaning they are good on that front) and are due >$4 million in AR. The revenue number is more than I expected for what is traditionally by far the worst quarter in this industry.
Model 3:
I think it looks great! and it comes with their autopilot functionality standard! I am going to wait a bit for one of their performance model 3's to be announced.
Ever see a dyno chart of an electric vehicle? 100% torque, 100% of the time. The P90D is ridiculously fast for such a large vehicle.
Good synopsis there moon. Thanks.
Any idea how long it usually takes for financial sites to update the financials? Yahoo has the current data if you look at the 'income statement' section but not on the summary screen. You'd think it would be automatically calulated..
Your criticisms of this company keep getting weaker and weaker. It's very entertaining to witness.
Looks like Cerp bought back in.
He also miscalculated the percent dilution.
Geez Sandridge is at it again.
Taking a positive event and trying to make it negative, what a joke. This has already been explained ad nauseam and Sandy did not analyze this correctly.
Thanks for the reminder. Here is the insider buying everyone was clamoring for.
Also, thanks for the heads up about RobinHood. I opened a new account today, no trading fees is dangerous!
I'd like to say thanks as well. Your positive but reality based posts definitely help to sludge through the mud some days.
I've been away in Hawaii so I've missed all of the fun in the past 10 days (although I was having plenty of fun on my own) but am super pumped by what I read of the transcript and what I see in our Q4 as well as FY2015 numbers. I share your sentiment on this company entirely.
I've learned to give up on caring about price action a while ago. If SUNW keeps posting numbers and growth similar to FY2015, the price will follow. If anything, these recent numbers back up what I had hoped and made me more steadfast in my beliefs about the long term prospects of this company.
I worked in corporate actions for ~4 years. He is probably referring to the other security identifiers changing as well. A merger would be announced long before he would see anything about a ticker change. I bet he saw the ISIN, CUSIP, SEDOL, etc changing as well.
Ticker changes tomorrow. I feel like we called this a few months ago. Hopefully this is the start of a positive news cycle for us all!
The entire solar industry is getting completely shafted right now (as well as energy in general). I am going to keep adding to my position when the price dips and hopefully everything reverses course over the next few years. Solar industry growth is an inevitability at this point.
I think you're on to something. A re-branding under the Sunworks name does make the most sense to me even if Solar3D sticks around as the behind the scenes parent company. Ticker ideas?

I say open the floodgate and buy up some shares while they're cheap. Everyone knows this is going to head back up by earnings time.
Check out the entire Solar sector... they are all DEEP in the red today. Take a look at SUNE, down over 40%.
I'm engaged so not actively looking for a girlfriend, sort of like my relationship with SLTD. It's actually pretty interesting how well my fiance correlates to SLTD. She has no debt, either does SLTD. She has a good paying job which has increased regularly, kind of like SLTD's revenue. She is beautiful, exactly like SLTD's most recent 10Q and future potential.
BTW, I thought bears were supposed to hibernate during the winter months?
Bullishly Long for SLTD.
At some point the big boys won't be able to ignore the writing on the wall. A profitable company with increasing revenue and no debt. This isn't rocket science.
I agree somewhat. I've been spreading my money around into other solar stocks as well. However, I will always try to increase my position here under $3.
Buy buy buy! The price will be much much better come February/March. At least imo.
SUNE has been getting hammered all year. Grabbed some myself in the low $3 range. Early 2016 is going to be a great year for all of solar, but especially SLTD.
I agree with you there.
But, I'm bored at work right now and thought I'd help him out this one time ;)
Looks like it was from March 4th.

Also, lets try and tone it down with the personal attacks... I thought drugmanrx had a perfectly reasonable apprehension that simply needed addressed.
Finally found it:
"Solar3D currently intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including expanding its products and investments in its infrastructure, and for general working capital purposes. Although it currently has no plans, commitments or agreements with respect to any specific acquisitions, Solar3d may also use a portion of the net proceeds to acquire or invest in complementary businesses or products."
New investor (in a number of other solar stocks) in at $3.78.
I knew I should have bought under $3, darn....
I like this company as a whole and think this will correct back to the low teen range over the next year or so.
