Presidente and Publix Supermarkets
One pallet isn't an order... it's a trial. It means that the supermarket is willing to give this new product a SKU and some shelf space. What we are seeing is an introduction of a product at a single store to see if the public is interested in it. There are 32 Presidente stores and I'm almost certain they have a distribution warehouse (found a facebook post with good evidence that they do) therefore if this product sells, they'll buy truckload quantities (28-32 pallets) or more depending on what they think they'll need to keep up with demand. Or... Rico will be driving all over the greater Miami area delivering pallets to individual stores.
This is an important step in the right direction but supermarkets won't make real purchases if the product doesn't get bought by shoppers.
So if you want to do some real good, go buy PK off the shelves.
Now, before you jump in your car... I called the store at 7:05 am PST today. I asked to talk with the stock room. The woman who answered the stock room phone (sorry I didn't ask her for her name or confirm that she was the manager) spoke broken English, I asked if they had recently purchased Pleasant Kids Water, she said "Presidente Water?". I said, no, and spoke more clearly, "Pleasant Kids water". She said, "Oh, yes, Pleasant Kids water, we just purchased a pallet. It should be delivered next week."
The store address for the recent pallet sold is:
Presidente Supermarket #4
1510 S. Federal Way
Hollywood, FL. 33020
Take a picture of it on the shelves. Take a picture of your receipt.
Next week if it is not yet on the shelves, go to the back of the store and talk to the manager, tell her you are an excited shareholder and can't wait to see this exciting new product on their shelves, get a picture of the pallet with the stock room manager of the Presidente in the stock room with the pallet.
Post those pictures here, twitter, and FB. This proof will confirm to potential shareholders that the handwritten invoice posted on the Facebook page is legit and that Rico is working on building a brand.
Either of these will help the company and the PPS.
When/if Publix happens, do the same.
