How hard is it to go from Windows 7 to 10?
Not too difficult. Windows version numbers tell the story.
Windows 3 version numbers begin with 3
Windows 95 version numbers begin with 4
Windows XP version numbers begin with 5
Windows 7 version numbers begin with 6
Windows 10 version numbers begin with 6, the same as Windows 7 (and Vista) so we can see that there are few major changes internally, and hence; not too much new to overcome during the transition.
As well, Windows 7 users can (still!) update to Windows 10 at no cost by using their valid Windows 7 Product Key.

Almost everyone has visited a doctor, and many have visited a Veterinarian. For those who haven't, this 1 minute video underscores the differences.
. . .And I bet the mass murderer will still run for another term. I won't be shocked if he gets it. . .

One cannot rely on a hat to keep them warm. . .
. . .what I really love is NMP's new name. . .
Now if only I could think of appropriate nicknames for the rest of the gargoyles!

I encountered an article outlining strategies people can use to survive the Bidet Presidency. Although a few of the suggestions may not be perfect, at least thinking about surviving and thriving may prove beneficial.
Strategies
Cheers, PW.
P.S. As I see it, President Obama was high on likability and low on competence, while President Trump was high on competence and a bit less likable. Joe Bidet seems profoundly low on both.
If you have some time to waste, this 9 minutes of suspense video is entertaining. . .
I read the article about celebrities you brought to No-Lib and my overwhelming feeling was one of being out of touch. Of all the names the article contained, I recognized at most only one or two. For me, the author may as well used a Name Dictionary combined with a random number generator.
It's the same at the grocery check-out. I scan the magazines and recognize none of the people featured.
The amusing thing is, on those rare occasions when a name is familiar, the person has aged so much I no longer recognize them.
Perhaps a "Rosetta Stone for Fame" would help. It could be called "Rockers Using Walkers!"

Uh oh. Does the doggie bring back the 0 after he catches it?
I never thought about the dog returning the zero. When I read your message about it, I was reminded of a video making the rounds a few years ago. Fellas wanting to do a little ice fishing, but with little interest in the work of making a hole, left a stick of dynamite with the fuse lit on the ice where they planned to fish. Their dog retrieved the dynamite to their Jeep. After the explosion, the Jeep disappeared into the lake.
I cannot find the Dynamite and Jeep video, but while looking for it, I found this. . .
I don't know how they do it!
I checked the weather report this morning and it claimed that we'll get snow starting at 3:00 and ending at 5:00.
I looked out the window before putting on my outdoor clothes and there wasn't any sign of snow. The road was bare.
Ten minutes later, when I stepped outside, I was surprised to see snow had accumulated on the sidewalk. This was at 3:00.
While walking, my world became buried beneath a white blanket. And as well, I was white from head to toe by the time I returned. I shook off most of my Abominable Snowman disguise in the garage before heading to the kitchen.
On my way to the office at 5:00, I peeked outside. There was no snow coming down. And none when I made my second cup of coffee. Looking at the sky, there was no sign of any snow whatsoever. Upon lowering my gaze, it was obvious I'll be reacquainted with my snow-shovel before noon. (After the plow passes.)
I can understand how weather can be predicted in broad terms, but nailing this snowfall to the minute seems amazing.
May the weather guy bring beauty and magic to your world today instead of ice.
Cheers, PW.
I'd like to wish all the participants on No-Lib a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year.

Taking China virus restrictions seriously, police use stun gun and handcuffs to arrest kids playing hockey on an outdoor ice rink.

P.S. As a service to law enforcement, here's a couple of vocabulary expanding words for today: Reasonable & Appropriate.
I cannot help but think of social distancing enforcement when I watch this video.
When confronted with an unusually heavy snowfall, I find it's awsome that no two snowflakes are exactly alike.

A prominent Canadian's point of view. . .
Trump may rise again
Cheers, PW.
The $16,000 is simply tuition for a course in both parenting and credit card management. A bargain, considering that the lesson learned has practical every-day utility and will likely be retained for a lifetime.
The photograph was interesting. Times change. If I did something like this, I would've been a lot older than six by the time I could sit down again.
Cheers, PW.
The experimenter in me would like to pipe politician speech to parking lots for snow removal. The hot air should be sufficient to melt the heaviest deposits, and take care of any underlying ice as well.
Cheers, PW.
P.S. Newscasters' words may work for small jobs like clearing windscreens.
P.P.S. Salespeople could warm mittens.
P.P.P.S. Time to quit. I'm getting silly.
I may try out my leaf blower on it.
Perhaps one of these will work better.
The No-Lib thread seems more serious lately -- and it's no wonder, considering all that's going on. Perhaps taking a look from a different point of view will lower anxiety.
Thank-you. I really enjoyed the footnote on the "Welcome to California" sign. Too bad it only appeared in the video for less than a second near the end.
Cheers, PW.
I don't know what to make of this story. At first glance, it looks like another case of those opposing the idea that people have a right to self defence wanting for themselves what they'd like to deny others.
But it could also be a story about an organization investigating one of their own and not finding any wrongdoing -- not surprising.

A look at the issue from the other side. . .
In an article, By Every Legal Means Necessary, Lord Black points out where the current approach to resolving the election disagreement differs from the rule of law.
The rising chorus of those demanding the finalization of Joe Biden’s election victory or merely deluging the president with sanctimonious claptrap about "affirming the system" and being a gentleman and practitioner of fair play and good sportsmanship, ignores both the law and the underlying significance of the arguments.

Cold. . .
The showers at Alcatraz were the warmest of all prisons so that residents would not become used to cold water and be tempted to swim to freedom.
Cheers, PW.
P.S. When the heater failed at our swimming pool, a few hardy (or insane) people continued using it. The cold water encouraged a faster pace, or at least it did in my case. I'm sure I left a "rooster tail" in my wake.
On a positive note, the pool wasn't crowded.
Simply recalling this still gives me shivers.
And if Trump walked on water, the news would report "Donald Trump cannot swim!"
Cheers, PW.
Psssst. . .
GFI is a technology to protect humans, not equipment. If it detects more current going in than coming out, it knows current is escaping through another route and could be dangerous. It responds by switching off.
"Ground Fault Interruption" shortened to GFI is easier to say than "Holy #&(@&$# that thing's alive!"
Cheers, PW.
P.S. When I first read your message, I envisioned some poor guy getting a shock "in his equipment" and thought to myself -- that would hurt.
After a second reading, I realized that there may be some confusion between GFI and Surge Protection.
This guy must be special. He appears in not one, but two, collections of "unusual" people.
Today's collection
Previous collection
Cheers, PW.
P.S. I think he also appears in a "Masculinity" collection, but I cannot find a link to it.
I cannot avoid thinking about our young men who were conscripted to fight our nations' wars. Many gave their lives. All were innocent.
In this light, I can only speculate how many of today's (guilty) rioters and looters would need to be "killed in action" to win our current war. I'm convinced the number would be small.
Cheers, PW.
A little late for Halloween, but given our current climate, still timely.
