"Inspired by Tweed, PharmaCan plans a listing in the next month or so. Producers Organigram, Aphria and Bedrocan expect to go public in the next three months, while CannMedica and others are looking at doing so."
How does everything think this is going to affect TWD's PPS?
Yes, in a nutshell... I have read that different firms will bid on the discounted share price and the highest bidder will win the prospectus. Not that this is bad or good for TWD because the institution like GMP Securities retains all the risk of not being able to release the shares on the market. I actually think this is beneficial for TWD because they do not get mixed up in the crap of trying to worry about their shares when they can be recieving capital injections to fuel the business IMO. What does everyone else think?
The definition of a bought deal in its entirety is "In securitiesunderwriting, arrangement where the entire bond or stock issue is bought (or a firm commitment is given) by a syndicate of investment bankers to ensure the sale of the entire issue in the shortest possible time. Most new issues are underwritten on bought-deal basis.
Im simply stating that these are not institutional investors like you are stating. Also, why would they care what the fair value was if they intend to recieve them at a discount and sell them for what the stock is currently trading at? If an orange is selling on the market for $5 and i can get mine for $4.5 and turn around and sell the same orange for $5, why would you care how much the intrisic value of the orange is? Thats all I am trying to argue. I think TWD is a great long term purchase, but i am just trying to provide clarification and provoke dibate. Not trying to get your panties in a bunch.
Tell me if im wrong, but I do not think that i would NOT consider GMP Securities to be institutional investors. In a bought deal, the instituiton/investment bankers just guarentee the sale of the shares thus releasing TWD from having to find investors. The $15mm that TWD secured from GMP almost takes the place of otherwise having to secure a loan. In return, GMP recieves adiscount in share price to cover the expenses of underwriting with a little premium as well. I think this has nothing to do with the fair value of the stock considering that $3.2 was a discount to the share price at the time that the deal was taking place. I am long TWD for the record. Thoughts?
TWMJF was down as high as 9% this morning but TWD is only down around 4%? I wasnt planning on buying more shares today, but at a 5% discount, i dont see why not lol. Anyone else notice this?
If there was a place to like this post i would lmao
how do you block someone?
Do you not have anything better to do? I’m sure by now no one is taking you seriously so why waste your time. Secondly, do you have any idea how businesses grow? It takes time to setup processes and put together capital to build a business into a multimillion dollar company. If you are under the impression that every business has as much capital and resources as they want to instantly become an empire you are wrong. It takes time to figure out processes and they will learn along the way. To bash a company after one shipment and call them a failure is highly pessimistic and a complete joke. If this was a reoccurring thing, I would tend to agree with you, but as of now, it is not. Go back to your tent and leave the board alone.
It is not a scam. It is a vehicle for US investors so TWD does not have to list on the US exchange and comply with the SEC. Makes it easier on TWD and less costly. TWMJF even has the same cusip (identifier) as the stock trading in the canadian markets. Hope this clears up your concerns.
i think someone is trying to get the amount of posts up in the board to create more interest on ihub. get out of here and let this one grow organic. go join the wolfpack and pump some stocks
Just throwing this out there; awesomesound is secretly Jesse Ventura??? Take your conspiracy theories elsewhere
i was in the same boat after the first day of trading, because i wanted to hold the shares long. Have been dollar cost averaging ever since. Originally in at $4 and averaged down to $3. Im happy there and am not going to sell any of my shares for a while. If you believe in the company like I do, and you can spare the money, i would go for it IMO.
I would tend to agree with TMEvans on this one
Does anyone know why TWMJF is down nearly 1.5% today while TWD has remained unchanged? I was guessing it might have something to do with the exchange rates, but CAD/USD is only down .3% Is this an arbitrage opportunity or am I missing something over here?
your an idiot. back up your claims please
Called the bottom/best spot of entry on twitter 2 days ago. @NYSE_talk
awesomesound,
Besides your bad punctuation and run on sentences, you seem to be overly radical person. I am, as I am sure everyone else is; what would you do to the system that would be far superior to the work that has already gone into it. I think everyone realizes that not everything is perfect from the get go and changes will be made along the line to improve patient satisfaction. Also, why are you attacking Tweed saying that there have been NO sales thus far? As investors, we are quite aware of this and is already priced into the stock. Is there a problem with investors wanting to help others out by providing them with a product? This is capitalism my man. Either get on the train or get off.
Preeeeeeeaaaach Green2013. Do you have a twitter handle?
Just broke through resistance and nearing the close. We have tested $2.95 3 times today (healthy sign), and currently we are breaking through $3. Should look to retest the highs in the next week or two depending upon market conditions IMO
Does anyone else agree that we are seeing a pop today from short covering? If so, I think we saw the very bottom yesterday IMO. Great time to get in right now if you are looking to hold over a 3mo+ time frame.
Its hard to believe that any government would let a monopoly operate in their country. I am super optomistic about Tweed but lets not over-exadurate. There will be competition, but I believe Tweed is well positioned IMO.
Also, is there news behind the recent drops in PPS? If you look at averaged forward projections of net income, this stock should be trading significantly higher. Even AAp1, which is not priced for growth, has a P/E ratio of 10X, which is lower than that of Tweed. TWD/TWMJF should be skyrocketing. Comments?
