Merger came through and cash in my brokerage account.
Activity on 02/08 at 38.349 per share (all in).
It's been an exciting ride. Been in Arcam since there was very little volume on the stock and way before 3D bubble at about $6 bucks pre split. Grand slam for sure!
Take care everyone and good luck!
Brokerages probably don't have a ton of info. The back office doesn't pay any attention to these types of activities because they're in the dark as well. When the payment is made, it'll drop into your account.
Well done and thanks for the recon. As far as the flow for us holders of AMAVF, should be just how you said KR_uk. Pretty simple process. Looking forward to liquidity!
Anyone interested in a little DD check out TTD. They're killing it and I believe that will only continue.
Good luck all!
With GE on the verge of being bankrupt (who would have thought) wonder if this will throw a nasty wrench into the situation for us Arcam shareholders..
That's something. Thanks for the recon. Not worried, just want the liquidity in my ROTH so I can re-invest the proceeds :/
Crickets... :/
You're probably right. I see 284 shares traded today (not my buy unfortunately) for 28.81. Dropping AMAVF 12.7%..so strange.
I threw a limit order out there last Thursday and Friday for 500 shares at $30 and wasn't filled. Just FYI.
Great info, thanks for the recon! And from judging what my trading desk has said, same applies for those of us which hold AMAVF OTC. Which is good!
Makes me wonder..
I picked up a few shares after trading was halted in Sweden on the OTC on May 21st at 29.00. This is 28% less then the buy out price of $37.39 (based on 345 SEK). For some reason it's still trading on the OTC albeit very thinly. Why? Could be the fact that no one is 100% sure the OTC shares will pay out and it's a panic to get liquidity. Or, holders can not wait and need cash now.
What to do..
I'm certainly not going to try and sell any shares. I'm "In it to win it" as they say. I'm actually thinking about placing a limit order out there to try and pick up more shares on the cheap. Anything under $30 should be nice for a quick pop in a few months. Or..OTC holders get screwed..
What to do...
My trading dept doesn't seem to be concerned about it. They say that every share of AMAVF (otc) is backed up by a share of Arcam (Stockholm). I would assume we are on the same timeline stated in my last board message. End of this year, early 2019.
Hopefully..;)
Regarding GE squeeze out timeline, I received the following email this morning:
Hello
I assist Axel Weibull in the Arcam case. Normally, it takes about one year from initiation of the compulsory acquisition process until the final redemption price is settled. In this case, it means that we can expect the case to be closed at the earliest by the end of this year.
Best regards
Victor

No doubt about that. Like I said, I'm still not 100% convinced either. But I've done so well buying and selling Arcam over the years that I'm willing to take on the risk. Time will tell..
Trading and the buy out.
I just talked to a friend of mine in the trading department at a financial firm. He said that AMAVF is NOT an ADS or an ADR. He stated that each share of AMAVF is backed up by an ordinary share of Arcam and represents that as well in the GE process. When the squeeze out happens, these will be cashed out like Arcam shares in Stockholm. Just for the heck of it, I put in a limit buy order today and it hit (also bumped up the stock price, you're welcome). I figure, why not..I'll buy some on the cheap with the assumption it'll be cashed out higher in a couple of months.
Who's selling? Those who have no idea what's going on (I still am not 100% convinced that I know)and just want out because they are freaked.
Just my 2 cents..
Latest from Axel Weibel from an email received this morning. Doesn't seem like he wants to give holders of AMAVF much positive news..
Only the ordinary shares in Arcam are included in the squeeze out procedure. The so-called ADS (American Depositary Share), representing the right to receive one ordinary share in Arcam are not included and were not supported by Arcam as we are informed. It is still unclear to us if the ticker AMAVF represents an ADS, ADR or an ordinary share. The holders of ordinary shares will receive the price that is determined by the arbitors.
Kind regards

Just this week I rolled my self directed 401(K),which held ARCAM shares trading in Stockholm, over to a self directed IRA. Those shares automatically converted to AMAVF on the OTC. Not real happy about that. Anyway, I emailed Arcam Legal the following and received the below reply. I also asked the same question of Axel Weibull and haven't received anything back yet:
Good morning,
My only question regarding the GE buy-out is how Arcam ADR (AMAVF) which trades OTC will be handled for holders of that security here in the United States. We have noticed that AMAVF has been trading OTC in a strange way even after Arcam was delisted from the Nasdaq Stockholm. Any information regarding the compulsory buy-out proceedings to buy-out all minority shares in Arcam US ADR would be helpful.
Thank you and look forward to your reply.

Ämne: VB: buy-out procedure
It is correct that the shares in Arcam was delisted from Nasdaq Stockholm on 26 January 2018 and that GE has initiated a compulsory buy-out procedure regarding the minority shareholders’ Arcam shares in accordance with the Swedish Companies Act. In this buy-out procedure, GE will acquire the remaining shares for a price that will be determined by an arbitral tribunal. A timetable for the proceedings has not yet been established and it is too early to say when the price will be determined or when GE will acquire and pay for the shares. The Swedish Companies Registration Office has appointed a trustee, Axel Weibull (axel.weibull@lindahl.se), who will represent absent shareholders in the proceedings. I suggest that you contact him if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Daniel
And why is AMAVF down 41% today?? I hold the actual shares and not the ADR..not sure what they're doing.
It's been a great ride!
Per the press release email I received this morning:
"GE has informed that it plans to utilize its right under the Swedish Companies Act to buy-out the remaining shares in Arcam and that it intends to request that Arcam applies for delisting of Arcam’s ordinary shares from Nasdaq Stockholm."
Been long Arcam for years, before the 3D bubble, and a lurker on this board as well. Rarely posted but always watching! ;)
Arcam has been one of the best trades I've ever had and probably will have, what a wonderful company. Going to miss being a shareholder.
Side note. I did buy Finepart Sweden when it went public only because Magnus Rene is involved in the company. Very small trade, 8000 shares. Prob a loser, more emotional then anything.
Good luck to you all!
Yeah..it sucks. There's no other word for it.
Microcap stocks move like this..horrible international markets, low volume, 3D bubble burst. Nothing in our favor.
I'm at a loss with how this thing trades..The company just does not get any love. With action like this, it's going to be dead money for a long time.
Sucks.
Great news this morning. We all knew the potential that Arcam has. It's very nice to see the company moving in the right direction, in a big way. I've traded this thing for a few years now and the shares I currently have (with a basis of 25) are earmarked for a long term hold..years. While it's been depressing, the volatility isn't a surprise for a company this size. It'll be interesting to see where Arcam is in 10 years.
Where do you find this information..? Please share.
I've been in Arcam for a long time (three years) and done very well. I love the company. But I'm frustrated with the PPS over the last 6 months really. Great quarter after great quarter and just dead money. It's annoying! Now its given back all the gains from yesterday..
And the excuse of "getting the word out" just doesnt fly. Anyone at all familiar with the 3D space knows about Arcam. Its just strange to me what's going on (or not going on) with this share price.
Very true..just would like it to hold above $2 for a while.
Been long IVFH for a couple of years now. Actually traded it a few times when it was a fraction of a cent about 8 years ago. Jumped back in about 2 years ago with a pile of shares. Don't post much but I lurk and read up. Want to say congrats on hitting $2!
Hopefully it wont trigger a bunch of sells!
Good luck all.
Some dumb*ass just hit a market order sell for 588 shares and it executed at like 20.50
oops...
All good news but what's it going to take to get the PPS to jump?
Good lord..
I'm not sure what to say except that we could use a bit of inflation right about now.
wow..

A little O/T buy very interesting article about the Hunt Brothers
Fellow bugs,
A very interesting article that runs down the Hunts activities in the 1970's when they tried to "corner the silver market". Which they actually didn't intend to do. Its out there on Bloomberg.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-10-23/hunt-s-death-revives-memory-of-fortune-lost-on-silver-bet.html
I emailed Magnus about a year ago and he said they have no plans to list on any other US exchange.
I really don't think that's a big deal at this point. Just my opinion.
You all should know by now that Arcam is not a "pink sheet penny stock", It's an ADR. Although it has very light volume so it's extremely volatile.
Info on ADRs if your interested:

With the merger, name change and 90% loss of value in a months time..anyone have any thoughts on this company??
The way this is trading lately it doesn't seem like there is much confidence..
I'm staying long with a pile but dead money starts to get annoying!
What do you mean by that? I missed the call.
Anyone watching this story develop? Looks undervalued with where online poker might be headed. I jumped in last week at 26.95.
With their purchase of Oldford Group I thought there would be more chatter.
Thoughts?
Not a word for a month and you drop that..hmmm..
open @ 1.32
low @0.90
high @ 1.43
Currently trading @ 1.43
I'm used to volatility but IVFH is wild man!
ahhh..The beauty of extremely low volume..
pretty quite around here..
Any thoughts on the weak trading?

Here's a translation of that press release. Adeezl, want to ring up Morgan Stanley and warn them of the dangers attached to Arcam because it trades OTC? Cause you really should..
Arcam: Rushing 19% with Morgan Stanley as the largest buyers
(SIX) Arcam rushing 19 percent on Wednesday the stock market without any news presented by the company. It is worth noting that Morgan Stanley is the obvious biggest buyer. The bank has net bought Arcam shares of over 19 million so far today.
Assessors who SIX spoken with see no obvious reason for the rally course in addition to shares came under pressure this year with a decline of over 20 percent.
The sector has also been news that U.S. industry colleague 3D Systems intends to carry out a rights issue of 337 million, with the objective, among other things, fund future acquisitions.

It would be nice to see a green high volume day. Seems like the only days this thing is green is when someone throws out a 500 share market order..
frustrating..
Guess I'll I have to do is wish...
