Keeping exploration at the top, forcing the view. I like that strategy, planned or not, but a link added there would be nice so you don't have to go to the drop down for their exploration.
Any improvement is an improvement; takes time, takes money, and hopefully an honest company.
uh, yea.....
I think DriverBob is Walter........
Actuallly, Other is less thana pink sheets....
this from the pink sheets website, http://www.pinksheets.com/glossary.jsp
Other OTC
Or otherwise known as the "Grey Market" is the trading of a security that is not listed on any stock exchange or quoted on the Pink Sheets or the OTCBB. Other OTC trades are reported to the NASD so investors can track price and volume, however bids and offers are not collected in a central spot so Best Execution of orders is difficult.
Pink Sheets
The Pink Sheets is a centralized quotation service that collects and publishes market maker quotes for OTC securities in real time. Pink Sheets is a nexus of OTC dealer markets that enhances price transparency in the OTC markets so investors can more efficiently buy and sell OTC securities.
OTC Bulletin Board
An electronic quotation medium for unlisted, non-Nasdaq, over-the-counter securities. The OTC Bulletin Board allows Market Makers to display firm prices for domestic securities, foreign securities, and ADRs that can be updated on a real-time basis.
Pink Sheets site indicates their venue is Pink Sheets
Over the Counter Bulletin Board lists their exchange as OTO
MarketWatch quotes indicate they are Other OTC
And Ameritrade indicates just OTC
soooooooooooo........for sure a non-reporting entity
You can access nearly any security OTC. NSDM's claim to be OTC BB is misleading. Yes, if you request info at the OTC site, they are certainly there, but they are actuall OTO or Over the Counter Other (e.g. pink sheets).
De Beers JV....
posted on BGO board...not sure about the source
Thursday, January 20, 2005
DIAMOND giant De Beers has struck up an agreement with Canadian nickel company Inco to share geophysical and geochemical data from tenements on Canada's north Baffin Island.
The companies have signed a two year agreement to assist in De Beers' search for diamonds and Inco's search for base metals on the island, north of Canada's Nunavut area.
Under the terms of the agreement, each company is entitled to 100% ownership of any resulting discovery of its own core commodity, while ownership of any other type of mineral project will be shared 50:50.
De Beers has been active on Baffin Island since 2000 and during 2004 35% of its global exploration spend (C$46.1 million) was spent in Canada.
The South African company has found over 200 kimberlites in Canada and currently has 10 active joint ventures in the country.
De Beers has two mining projects in Canada, Snap Lake in the Northwest Territories and the Victor project in northern Ontario."
Reporting...full disclosure...honesty
and you say that in the most positive sense! Ideally that is what we all hope for--and a nice fat gain! But a certain level of skepticism, objectivity, and due diligence would be prudent(omg, I sound like Bush).
Go, '05 (brrrrrrrrrr, it's freezing.........
Yes, noticed that yesterday. Also, you can click the image of the diamond ring to link you buying diamonds, but the photo for exploration is not linked.......you have to find that from the drop down menu
..
well, that's a nice post...!
A link to no link ... how about a crumb of information or source of speculation....
Each of us are Responsible
for our own choices in investing--especially in pinks--it's a risk, we all know it, and no one has forced anyone to push the buy or sell. No one likes to be swindled, or scammed, but it does happen. Not all of us are privy to all information either, but you better r&d what you can and make a conscious decision of what you feel you can risk and afford.
I might as the bashers if they have any "winners" in their portfolio to focus on, or just all losers and bad mistakes.
Take your trash elsewhere, unless it is constructive comments or criticism, or practical information...that is always welcome.
Move on and get a life, find a new investment.
The website states that NSDM has "completed acquisiton of projects", not property.
Can anyone produce PR on a JV, or where/who ownership belongs?

Ukraine Real Estate

It leaves skepticisme regarding NSDM ownership and rights to any Ukraine property. No doubt connections may exisit, but the law is clearly, unclear..........
You're Quite Welcome.
I try to provide some good information. I can't say this supports validation or legitimization of NSDM and company.

Greed and Corruption crosses all geopolitical and party lines.
Again, Democrary and Capitalism will legitimize both. Sadly
Ukrain Foreign Investment from PWC
Here is a decent synopsis of Ukraine investment and reform from Price Waterhouse Coopers. I can dig up information on foreign ownership of property if you are interested in deeper reading.

Capitalism and Democracy will legitimize corruption, IMO. While a change is this direction for Ukraine is positive, someone or some entity always profits.
There is a nice picture on their website.
Regadless of that prospect, there is still a great deal of turmoil in Ukraine, and if FSU can maintain a long arm in some capacity social and civil unrest will continue. How this may affect foreign investment and/or ownership, opportunistically or adversley, is yet to be seen.
I see Ukraine property as window dressing at this juncture, IMO.

UP, where? Unless you have a bizzillion shares, I would hardly consider that up.
Yes, there does appear to be a fragmented sentence...but overall a significant improvement. If one wants to pick all you need do is look at any company's website and mistakes abound, not to mention a poor design. So I'll give credit where due.
Again, I focus on substantive worth of this company and its potential. If my pockets be picked, well then, I buy a new pair of jeans.
Go '05 and happy trading
Yes, it does look quite nice. But I'm banking on substantive value and potential of the company...let's wait for some real results.

Press Release 11/18/2004
NSDM announces $500,000 diamond exploration program for Manitoba
11/18/2004 10:00:00 AM
BELLINGHAM, WA, Nov 18, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- North Star Diamonds, Inc. (NQB Pink Sheets: NSDM), is in the final stages of selecting joint venture partners for the Manitoba diamond exploration program.
This program calls for $500,000.00 being spent on exploration before November 30, 2005. All the funds will be provided by the joint venture partners. Attracting joint venture partners is part of NSDMs strategy to add value to its diamond claims minimizing share dilution to its shareholders. NSDM will remain as the operating company for the exploration programs. The joint venture partners will be announced as the contractual formalities are concluded and regulatory approval is obtained.
Walter Stunder is attending the Manitoba Mining and Minerals Convention which is being held in Winnipeg from November 18th to the 20th. Of particular interest is the presentation by Dr. Harvey Thorleifson on the diamond indicator minerals of Western Manitoba, the area where NSDM has several diamond exploration programs.
Also, contracts for several more phases of geophysical work will be put out for tender. The average cost of each phase is in the vicinity of $10,000 to $15,000.00. Mr. Stunder will also be meeting with the diamond drilling contractors to determine the costs and availability of the drills. Drilling will commence when the ground is frozen which under normal conditions is mid December.
NSDM has located the claims using Computer Enhanced Geophysical Graphics, which is very useful in discovering kimberlite pipes and therefore Mr. Stunder is very optimistic in discovering diamonds in Manitoba. Mr. Stunder states "If there are diamonds in Manitoba, we will find them."

I think you are all missig the point of the photo.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
I'm not disputing anything that you are saying and I happen to agree. The web needs to draw hits from other key words so joe blow and don juan can locate their merchandise.
Although the site would certainly be enhanced by adding "key words" to support an expanded search, it does contain the basic <title> North Star Diamonds Inc., and the "content type" referred to as being empty refers to the format, which is text in html.
google search: canadian internet diamonds.
Will lead you to an article in the Bull and the Bear about NSDM, which has a link to their website. But this search criteria does not yield a direct hit (at least for the first 3-4 pages I scrolled) to the NSDM site.
google search: north star diamonds inc, or north star diamonds, or diamonds north star.
A direct hit to the side.
google search: canadian diamonds.
Nothing on NSDM--at least for the first 4-5 pages I scrolled.
Obvioulsly just entering "north star" is useless.
I'm not suggesting this legitimizes NSDM or discounts discussion or fraud, (we are talking pinkies here), but at least suggesting that if it is legit, then it is an organization that needs improvement.
Who knows.
I think you are full of shit!
This takes you to a login screen. How about a cut and paste at the very least?

Exactly! What subsidiary? What Profit?
Walter Stunder Holdings? Additonally, in the very brief announcement some months back posted on the Tacy website (and other sourecs) they state an "unspecified major jewlery designer and manufacturer..."

It "sounds" nice anyway.
Eloquence! GWN Eloquence!
Regarding the investment comment. I'm long on NSDM as well and fully agree: don't invest what you can't lose, especially with pinkies.
Thanks LS. I'm not suggesting that NSDM will disappear (although, anything is possible), but I am a realist and a cynicist. Honestly, Stunder spooks me. If one really thinks, aren't we (shareholders) all invested to make money? Even if on a smaller scale than that of a company's management? Given this motive, apply the theory to Studner...do you really think he is concerned with shareholders for the intent of their welfare? Or is he concerned with shareholders to the extent that he can profit from luring them in?
And are we really foolish enough to believe the hype and half-truths in spin-doctored press realease? It's kind of like the 2-for-1 or half-off deals that have been marketed to cosnumers for years...it sort of looses its' appeal when we now know that there was a 100% mark up before the ad.
As investors, we know the risks (or we should), and adjust the game plan accordingly. Hopefully, we win.
Happy investing.
Profit...?
I think we all know this investment is HIGH risk and extremely SPECULATIVE. WS seems to be a shady character with hands in many pots.
For me, I'm sitting on 40,000+ shares at an average .07 and long.........I'm just hoping for one more good pop up to take to the bank.
This stock could very easily vanish from existence on any board at any time.
JMO, so buyers beware and good luck to all.
