I was in Stop and Shop yesterday and noticed that JALA has been marked down a second time, now to $3 per box. They were at $4.99 when they first came out and then a month ago they were marked down to $3.50.
This is not good for JALA....markdowns are generally not absorbed by the retailer, but by the manufacturer.
MY gut tells me that sell through has been less than stellar.
How is that gonna happen with no money?
My guess is that this is being walked up to the .006's to .007's so that the next 200 million shares will be bought up in June.
Just my opinion....
Well, I am still long....its the strong part I am not sure about!
Looks like we are reconfirming the bottom of .005.....maybe!
Hold onto your panties.....they changed CPA firms. Report says there was no disagreement. My experience is that it is usually over fees.
No way his average cost is $.015..(500K/33M).
No way to know what he paid or when. He was not required to file until he hit he 5% threshold and so he may have had 4.9% for some time.....we just don't know.
So, if we extrapolate this out, if we get to 2,000 stores we should be in the .00021 range.
Only problem here is that we are not in 1,000 stores yet, are we?
I go into my local Stop and Shop a few times a week. Each time, I check to see the JALA supply in the freezer. What an amazing coincidence.....I must follow the stock boy every time because each time the freezer is full of JALA!
I clearly understand that....I am just asking why he believes the stock will act in the manner he prescribed...gut feel? Historical chart review? or, most likely, a statement out of the thin air.
Just curious....on what facts do you base this opinion?
"IMO there is a good chance we see .003-.004 again before we see a sky rocket in the stock price."
2 million shares bought at .007???
Funny thing.....a month ago I was pissed that JALA was "down" to .0075.....today I am thrilled its at .0075
More good days ahead!
Nice....freed up some more grocery and mortgage money?
Huge bid support.....
10 million share bid at .06?
Someone wants in bad....looks like we may see biggest volume day ever for JALA
I have no idea who Nikodemos is, and frequently people mistake IR with management.
Its a significant point to me as I have no confidence in Hart at all. In many instances, his responses seem to be entirely childish and he has no credibility with me at all.
Just a point of clarification....did you speak directly with Sam or to Steven Hart Investor Relations?
Looks like we will be seeing news real soon......
First time in a long time.....decent volume, decent movement.....all because I bought out all the stock at my local supermarket!
Amen to that!
Yup bought some last night at my local store as well. They had two facings on the bottom shelf, choc and van sandwiches. The will need a restock soon....he he
I will say, that although they tasted much better than any of the other brands of the greek yogurt I was not impressed with the cookies they used. They were to soft, the kind that stick to your fingers. Additionally, each box I have opened thus far (3) had at least one sandwich that contained a broken cookie.
Just called....sandwiches are in.
I was there on Sunday....nothing.
I will say that I bombarded the buying group last fall with requests.
Massachusetts.....near Foxboro
Nothing in Stop & Shop, Market Basket or Shaws as of this past weekend....
You got the wrong guy.....my average is far less than that, but still higher than I would like at approx .02.... difference is, however, if this goes bust I have a story to tell along with a tax loss. It will have zero impact on me or my family.
All I can say is that I should have never deviated from my normal practice of selling any stock when I get to a 15% loss. I stupidly thought this one was different.
Having said that...and being down almost 75% at this point, it makes little sense to do anything but ride it all the way down.
My biggest fear, however, is that my wife will find out and then it wall cost me double as she will insist on spending an equal amount on something equally stupid like jewelry!
Nice....pretty soon you too will be able to average down!
Your glass is half empty....look at the bright side....15% down today is less than 15% down last week!
"They've done a very impressive job of saturating the NE region albeit it took longer than we expected."
Care to explain this? As far as I can see they will hit a couple of A&P's in southern CT and that's it. Nothing in Mass, NH, VT, ME or RI planned for the near term as far as I can tell.
Hit the ask...duh
Excerpt from an email I received from Hart a couple of weeks ago when I asked about Boston area:
Not just yet. Perhaps by end of 2015.
Nearer term is NYC metro & tri-state areas.

Major Boston area grocers include Stop and Shop, Roche Bros, Shaw's, Market Basket.
Thank you....
Link is to last years 10K
A couple of weeks ago, I asked IR about the Boston area and was told not to expect anything until the end of 2015....I specifically asked about Stop and Shop and was told there are no plans at this time.
Not to worry, you will be able to average down soon....
Got the same email....so, who/where are the other 350 stores?
On multiple occasions, they have overinflated their expectations.
You can candy coat it however you like, but not doing what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, is, in my opinion a lie.
Well, those shareholders selling at this level certainly have no confidence that JALA will be making good on their claim to be in 1,000 by the end of next week.
Unfortunately, this "great" management team is looking like nothing more than a bunch of liars....
As a New England Patriots season ticket holder and a JALA shareholder, this has been a very deflating week!
You must be getting close to being a 5% shareholder!
I keep expecting to see a disclosure statement to that effect everyday. LOL!
Well, as far as I am concerned, they better follow through with their assertion that they would be in 1,000 stores by month end. Another blown promise and their small credibility level becomes no credibility.
IR had told me that they would all be in the "tri state region" which I assume would be NY, CT and NJ?
