I organized all the MJ stocks according to public float, annual revenue, and available cash. I used equity feed and Ihub for my research. The top 10 lowest float stocks in all of the marijuana/cannabis sector (229 total that I found) are as follows:
LCTC - 295,000
PETV - 610,000
AJAC - 824,000
AQSP - 835,000
GSML - 1.03 M
NTRR - 1.8 M
ANAS - 10.1 M
MNTR - 10.3 M
NGBL - 13.6 M
ETST - 13.8 M
In addition, LCTC also has the second highest revenue figure (8.83 M), and the sixth highest cash position (3.38 M).
I personally checked the float number from the annual report and came up with a float of just 192,580. This could be the single best low float momo play if it gets some volume or can provide an update on the progress being made on the marijuana breathalyzer.
Already profitable, revenues increasing, expanding into the marijuana space, an infrastructure that's already in place with the alcohol breathalyzer, and a minuscule float, I continue to think this is one of the best names to own overall. A couple thousand shares could easily move this thing over $50!
SPRWF is on the list. One of the more solid companies in the space.
$1.4 Million Revenue, $2.07 Million Cash, 86 Million share float.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong as Equity feed does not do a great job with Canadian companies. Thanks.
Of the 229 total marijuana publicly traded companies, LCTC was proven to have the smallest public float (by far), the sixth highest cash position, and the second highest revenue figures. Only MJNA has more revenue according to the equity feed filters but it also has over 13 million in debt and EBITDA is -3 million.
LCTC remains my top choice in the sector. If we can get a PR or news release with progress on the marijuana breathalyzer, we could/should see some fireworks happen. Even if just one major buyer comes in, how much stock could be left that's available? I'd love to see what could happen with a 20,000 share day. I think it's at least possible. Good luck to all involved!

Next week is notorious for the low float stocks to have huge rips higher during the shortened holiday week schedule. I just did a filter screen on equity feed and for symbols that actually have trades, LCTC is in the top 10 lowest float stocks in the entire US public market (Nasdaq, NYSE, AMEX, OTCBB, and OTC).
If one buyer of a couple thousand shares comes in to buy this, we can see it trading upwards of $50/share easily. There was a buyer in there this week and it didn't look like he/she is finished buying.
Can you imagine marijuana breathalyzer news and what it could do to this thing if you had a handful of buyers who wanted in! There's a couple hundred shares between here and $100. That's it folks.
Cheers and all the best!
According to: http://www.lowfloat.com/otcbb/ Lifeloc (If it was included in the list) would be in the top 10 smallest floats on all of the OTCBB.
If this stock could show any progress being made on the marijuana breathalyzer it could pull off a DRYS type of move. $5.00 to $100 in less than a week. That's what I'd like to see!
BLOZF with a nice gain on the day and breakout chart to new highs on news that included a picture of their latest marijuana breathalyzer 2.0 version.
I'd like to see LCTC break out to new highs with some news regarding progress being made with its version of the breathalyzer.
Most bloggers/contributors aren't even recognizing Lifeloc as a public company that is involved in the breathalyzer market so it would be really nice to get an update or hear about progress being made.
Let's see if we can get through $10.00!
Of over 350 companies in the entire Marijuana space, I have yet to find a symbol with a smaller float than LCTC. Nothing even comes close. With a float less than 200,000 shares, even a little push could make this thing fly. Already profitable, revenues increasing, expanding into the marijuana space, and an infrastructure that's already in place with the alcohol breathalyzer, I continue to think this is one of the best names to own overall. Good luck to everyone!
Breathalyzer market projections:
According to WinterGreen Research, Breathalyzer markets at $284.6 million in 2011 are anticipated to reach $3.2 billion in 2018. Market growth comes in large part from development of a new market for breath analysis as a healthcare diagnostic tool.
Zion Market Research has published a new report titled “Breath Analyzers (Fuel Cell, Semiconductor, Infrared and Crystal)
According to the report, global demand for breath analyzer market was valued at USD 500.0 million in 2015 and is expected to reach USD 1,600.0 million in 2021, growing at a CAGR of 25% between 2016 and 2021.
According to a report by Mordor Intelligence, the global breathalyzer market has been estimated to be worth USD $3 billion for the year 2018 and is projected to hit USD 10 billion by 2021, at a CAGR of 25% during the forecast period 2016-2021. The market is set to be driven mostly by the fuel cell technology (This is what LCTC uses)
Keep in mind, when Lifeloc is ready to go with it's marijuana breathalyzer, it will have the advantage of already being positioned with manufacturing and distribution networks in the well-established alcohol breathalyzer market.
Currently the market cap for Lifeloc stands at a mere $17.3 million. If Lifeloc can capture just 1% of the total alcohol and marijuana breathalyzer market by 2018 (let's just say each market is worth $2 billion), then I'd expect an increase in market cap to $40 million or a stock price of at least $16/share. Things get interesting when LCTC begins to capture lets say 2.5% of a projected $10 billion market. That would be worth $250 million and would put the price of LCTC stock right around $100. Keep in mind these are very conservative numbers and there are only a handful of companies working on the marijuana breathalyzer. Imagine what could happen if they are able to capture 5, 10, or even 25% of that total market and continue to have a trading float of less than 200,000 shares?
Oh man!!!
Interesting article posted this weekend discussing size of breathalyzer market:
http://seekingalpha.com/instablog/3646631-anthony-cataldo/4929533-cannabix-technologies-strong-balance-sheet-little-downside-risk-sector-enjoying-meteoric
Alliances are already forming for marijuana consumption detection devices:
"Lifeloc Technologies, Inc. and Sandia Corporation are pleased to announce the signing of a licensing agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Lifeloc will acquire the exclusive rights to develop, manufacture and market Sandia's patented SpinDx™ technology for the detection of drugs of abuse."
In my opinion, LCTC has so much more going for it than BLOZF. I have a hard time grasping how it's just half the market cap.
Anyone have thoughts/opinions? Thanks!
Lifeloc video discussing marijuana breathalyzer:
CBS 60 minutes Sunday night is running a story from Pueblo, CO. This city is less than 2 hours from the Lifeloc office in Wheat Ridge, CO. I have no idea if Lifeloc will be mentioned in this report but there is certainly a possibilty:
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/60-minutes-colorado-governor-on-recreational-pot/
Dr. LaPook went to Pueblo, Colorado -- a town where pot is produced and sold – for a 60 Minutes story Sunday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
In addition to the marijuana exposure, check out the expected growth in the global breathalyzer and drug testing equipment market. This is a $10 Billion market in a couple years:
The latest market report published by Persistence Market Research is titled ‘Global Market Study on Alcohol Breathalyzer and Drug Testing Equipment: Increasing demand for personal Portable Alcohol Breathalyzer to drive the market during the forecast period’.According to this report, the global alcohol breathalyzer and drug testing equipment market will expand at a CAGR of 7.8% during the forecast period, 2015-2021.
In terms of value, the global alcohol breathalyzer, and drug testing equipment market is projected to expand at a CAGR of 7.8% during the forecast period. The global alcohol breathalyzer and drug testing equipment market value are expected to increase to US $10 Billion by the end of 2021.
Increasing cases of alcohol and drugs abuse are a major factor driving the growth of the global alcohol breathalyzer and drugs testing equipment market. I believe this can only continue to expand with the growth of recreational use and the upcoming November voting.
With BLOZF taking off recently, I have to reiterate that LCTC deserves to be more than just a $10 stock. I think it will have its day soon enough.
With the run up in the pot/marijuana space I decided to search and find out how LCTC can be linked to this group.
Obviously it's not a grower or distributor but check out all the different ways that you can link this company to the topic of marijuana:
“As marijuana legalization spreads across the country and the world, the need to get rapid and reliable testing methods to law enforcement officers will only increase. Providing this technology is consistent with Lifeloc’s corporate mission to make our roads and workplaces safer,” said Dr. Wayne Willkomm, CEO of Lifeloc Technologies. Feasibility of detection has already been demonstrated for very low levels of delta-9-THC (the primary psychoactive agent of marijuana), cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Dr. Willkomm commented, “It is an exciting time to be at Lifeloc. We are well positioned for growth and I look forward to building the business through an increasingly effective alcohol and drug detection product pipeline.”
Lifeloc is expanding its product portfolio into “near and remote sensing” opportunities outside of alcohol testing. In September 2014 the company received an award of $250,000 from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade for the continued development of a THC breathalyzer for detection of the psychoactive compound in Marijuana which causes impairment.
Lifeloc has previously introduced our efforts in THC breath detection, more commonly referred to as a marijuana breathalyzer. We are taking our core competency in designing and building rugged, portable, real-time analytical devices and leveraging that with trace compound detection technology from the U.S. Naval Research Laboratories. This work is being accelerated by a $250,000 grant from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade to match certain R&D expenditures on this marijuana breathalyzer. Thus far, we have demonstrated the sensitivity to detect extremely small amounts of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-THC), the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, under perfect conditions in the laboratory. Work continues to develop this capability in a portable device and under real world conditions with interfering components as present in a breath sample.
Marijuana and the Workplace Online Course
This course is an essential training tool for understanding and preparing your workplace for the growing medical and recreational use of THC. State laws around the use of marijuana are changing quickly. Most employers are ill-prepared to handle the newly emerging legal, policy, safety and related business issues resulting from legalization. This course sorts out fact from fiction and equips HR Managers, Safety Managers, Business Owners, and Substance Abuse Professionals with the information they need to avoid being blindsided
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lifeloc Technologies, a Colorado manufacturer and exporter of professional alcohol breathalyzers for use by Law Enforcement, Corrections, Schools and the Workplace is pleased to announce an award of $250,000 from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) to accelerate its development of the world's first Marijuana Breathalyzer. Matching funds required by the grant will be provided by Lifeloc.
The CEO of Lifeloc, Barry Knott said that the company was in a race with itself to develop their own pot breathalyzer. “As far as we know there’s nobody else as far along in this.”
“I think the first breathalyzer on the market will be a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ for the presence of THC at the time of the test, and in that sense it won’t provide a quantitative evidential measure,” said Barry Knott, the chief executive of Lifeloc, which already makes alcohol breathalyzers.
The size of the potential market is unclear, owing to widely varying estimates of cannabis use, and unreliable data on those driving under its influence.
But developers say they will be able to sell pot devices for a lot more than the ubiquitous alcohol breathalyzers.
Lifeloc sells alcohol breathalyzers for $300-$400 but expects to charge $2,500-$3,500 for its cannabis version.
“It would be home run for any company that develops the technology,” said Barry Knot, CEO of Lifeloc Technologies. “The advantage of a Breathalyzer is that it provides virtually instantaneous feedback to the officer, so within a matter of seconds they can get an accurate determination of blood alcohol content."
"2012 we staffed a new senior management position to investigate and identify promising technologies and possible acquisitions that will enable Lifeloc to participate in the growing market for the detection of illegal drugs."
LCTC is actively working on trying to get more involved in the pot industry by expanding its substance abuse detection devices to include illegal drugs.
However, I love it when a stock has a great story, low float, and it's not on everyone's radar. It may only be you, me, and a handful of other people that are even involved in this thing. It reminds me of ATTBF back in early 2014 when it was around $0.07. Could have bought all you wanted because no one was watching it. It wound up hitting a high of $2.78 when everyone else finally got involved. We could have the same thing going on here.
How BLOZF has a higher market cap than this one is utter nonsense.
I also noticed that there isn't too much between here and $20.00.
The market maker early on Friday morning had no stock and was showing $20.00 as the best offer at one point.
The Sandia news and deal is amazing. The voting on medical marijuana in 9 states in November is a huge catalyst and as far as I know they are still working on the breathalyzer to detect THC. First to market with an accurate and reliable breathalyzer is just enormous. I own BLOZF also but my bet is on LCTC to be first to market.
All the best sir and maybe we see some nice gains in this up until November voting.
