I am long here and have held shares since the old TTDZ days. I read everyone’s posts on a daily basis but have never posted anything myself.
For my first post, I wanted to say in my opinion it really doesn’t matter if our PR’s drive the price up or not. I do believe that as time goes on, our revenues will drive the share price up. It will not be a fast climb but I do believe it will climb as time goes on. I truly believe that this is a real company being built and those who have the patience to wait will be rewarded.
As for Rico Suave, I don’t expect any products to be out before the end of 2014. I think management will wait to release any Rico Suave products until the trademark process is complete. Below is a timeline of what steps have been completed to date:
Trademark Events for (Rico Suave)
Event DateEvent Description
2014-06-27 NEW APPLICATION ENTERED IN TRAM
2014-07-01 NEW APPLICATION OFFICE SUPPLIED DATA ENTERED IN TRAM
2014-09-30 ASSIGNED TO EXAMINER
2014-09-30 APPROVED FOR PUB - PRINCIPAL REGISTER
2014-10-22 NOTIFICATION OF NOTICE OF PUBLICATION E-MAILED
2014-11-11 PUBLISHED FOR OPPOSITION
2014-11-11 OFFICIAL GAZETTE PUBLICATION CONFIRMATION E-MAILED
From the date that the mark is published in the official gazette (11/11/14), any party has 30 days to file either an opposition to registration or a request to extend the time to oppose the trademark. If no opposition is filed or if the opposition is unsuccessful, the application enters the next stage of the registration process.
The next stage of the trademark process states: “If the mark is published based upon the actual use of the mark in commerce, or on a foreign registration, and no party files an opposition or request to extend the time to oppose, the USPTO will normally register the mark and issue a registration certificate about eleven (11) weeks after the date the mark was published.”
The mark was published on November 11, 2014. 11 weeks after the mark was published takes us all the way to January 27th, 2015.
There are still more steps in this process and I am not knowledgeable enough on the trademark process to know when it will actually be complete. Judging by how management has handled situations so far, I would assume they will wait to do anything with Rico Suave until the entire trademark process is complete. As for GRCU’s post about closing 2014 “Rico Suave Style” I just think it’s their way of saying lets have a good end to the year. I do not think that closing the year “Rico Suave Style” refers to us having products up for sale by years end. The products will come at some point, just be patient.
