There were 2000 shares of HERB purchased at a dime on 11/09, far below both posted BID and ASK.
I would certainly like to know how that's possible...
Lots of reasons. Most recently, MNTR has:
"sold $120,000 in securities convertible into a to-be-created series of preferred stock which itself will be convertible into shares of Mentor Capital common stock"
This is also known as dilution. When it happens in an OTC stock, especially one in the MJ sector, it looks pretty scammy.
Mr. Engel? I am checking back in with you on this posting...
I had noticed that you have been changing your message from this being a scam to breaking out as an industry leader...
How far back does your chart go, Fred? You were here when it went from .05 to .32, weren't you?
Your name looks familiar.
In holding HEMP, I have come to expect consistent dilution over long periods of time and then one big uptick to over ten-fold its former PPS.
I don't feel that bad about HEMP, despite holding onto a sinking stock for over a year. FWIW
Just checking back in with you, Harold. It's been about a month and a half since we last spoke and this board is now only posting about EXMT.
You got any news about ICBU, the company this board is supposed to be dealing with?
P.S. I'll hold on forever. If only to catalog the failures of this company.
I'm still holding, Dutch. Not much to cheer about over the past year in my gambles such as HERB.
Hopefully, these OTC stocks can pan out to their potential. It was always worth the possibility of a huge payoff; but, the risk has been winning...
Hasn't been right for over a year now. Hopefully, he's been right all along.
I believe every single OTC pot stock was going to a dollar last year.
Then they didn't.
What now? Next year? Never? I believe the latter. At least for ICBU.
The three of us were here the same time last year. I don't know how anyone is spouting confidence in ICBU after the past year's letdown.
I heard that HSBC was going to start throwing some money around in China.
How likely a benefactor would HERB be?
I give ICBU an A for effort. Still makin' backroom deals. Potentially exciting???
Why did the warning this was a scam company get removed from top of the board?
I guess I will repeat the most important part of that post.
What do you like about ICBU?
Why would he need to make things up?
Failure to provide promised dividends to shareholders.
Failure in having a high percentage, if not all, ventures toted in PR statements come to fruition.
What do you like about ICBU?
Some of us here feel it's not so bad to be an honest investor, maybe?
That didn't occur to you?
Truth. This is not a real company. Just a short-pump scheme.
Laughable. Make a promise on dividend shares and then sell the company back to the folks they bought it from, making dividends unrecoverable to investors.
Is it even legal? Does that even matter to ICBU?
Who watches the Watchmen?
Folks on this board have been claiming market makers are the ones holding this value down to accumulate shares for some time now; at least a year and a half.
I hope that is the case. But, the PPS has been ridiculously low for the same duration of time and volume wouldn't hit 10 million shares traded for months at such a low price.
I suppose it could be construed that the market makers were trading these shares back and forth to garner a lower PPS to load massively. But, why the sudden pop to 40 million shares a couple days ago? Wouldn't the strategy be better served by continuing the plan to accumulate little by little?
All I have is questions for HEMP and its future. Bruce does not provide many lucrative answers, and when he does, the answers are slow-moving and leave more 'ifs'. This ticker is still hugely popular, so I know I will find out one way or the other, whether this gamble pays off.
I have been watching the pot sector for a couple years now and I've seen mostly short-selling to this point.
Nobody has gone to jail that I am aware of. Most of the companies are still listed on an exchange, even the ones that went to trips.
Even if short sales are not legal, it does not seem that the SEC is watching...
Hey, we are sure supporting a lot of hemp conventions as shareholders, no?
Anyone ever been to one? Do they sell stuff? Or, is it a giant hippie drum circle where people 'share'?
MJNA leads the sector charges for OTC pot stocks. Watch its chart, then watch the sector charts. Amazing.
How high do we go this year?!
Off a cliff into a sea of gold coins, baby!
HEMP Inc, by its own nature of coming into a currently restricted market space, was always a gamble. And, it still is.
I doubt that 'help' will be needed. ICBU can get to trips just fine on their own.
In any case, turns out I was mistaken; wasn't halted. Just hadn't begun to move until close to 2pm.
You really buying still? What are you hoping to see come out of ICBU, anymore?
After all their abject failures, their most recent bit of good news is retaining an investor relations firm whose two other client stocks are (1) halted and (1) sitting at trips on the pink sheets?
I'm not really bothered by ICBU associating with illegal dispensary operators, since most operators at this point are criminals.
Buying what? Stock looks halted today...
Nothing I have seen from ICBU in the past year would merit me putting any more money on it. I've had a position for close to a year.
Lots of hopeful PRs, but then they renege on them. With so many companies making grow equipment now, I cannot see how ICBU comes back unless they either contract a deal with several large grow facilities, or their direct-to-consumer business takes off.
Given their reputation; I don't see how that's possible.
Hustled?! Man, I heard stories about the volatility of the OTC before dabbling in it...
I'm sorry to hear, but I hope you don't give up and hedge your bets.
This goes to everyone out there on these boards that doesn't know about the types of markets these pot stocks are currently on.
DO NOT INVEST WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOSE ON THE OTC MARKETS!
Like I said, holdout for the turnaround in HEMP, since selling won't get you anywhere but a complete loss. Once your bankroll's back up to snuff, put some money into some safer markets (stocks on NYSE, NASDAQ) and diversify your funds amongst those stocks. Use the earnings from a diversified portfolio to gamble on the OTC. Good luck to you.
You bet your life savings on a penny stock...?
Please, tell me you did not bet your life savings on a penny stock...
But, if you did, don't sell yet. Your future still has a 50/50 chance.
I just re-checked volume... wow.
What happened? Near 20 million on the day; due to PPS hitting .02?
He probably means $.03
Lots of folks come here looking for a 1/2 cent PPS rise. Using a margin account, you can trade same-day. If you are good at it, it is the quickest way to gain wealth. If you are bad at it, it is the quickest way to become poor.
If you are looking to time the pop here at HEMP, you are more likely to end up as the latter.
Huge swing coming... in the next few years, though. IMHO
Hmm, well in any case, keep the rumors coming. It'll be worth keeping an eye out for things to come.
The low volume on HEMP, given its recent PR attempts to gain some momentum, would suggest the plan to garner more support without benefitting shareholders is failing.
Maybe we are close to getting rid of all the shorts trying to make a quick buck. Looking for a huge swing when/if Bruce shows us some promising numbers.
So it wasn't truth? Did you verify what you read?
Better advice is to only follow-up on posts which provide factual information. It goes for all of iHub boards.
I appreciated that you read through the entire 10-K and provided that bit of info regarding a potential merger.
All the day-to-day jargon is beating a dead horse. But, we like to talk it over here at iHub.
See that. A 20% dropoff. This ticker will make you crazy in the day-to-day grind.
Nor am I. I am already holding a long position here. But, HERB's movements are a mystery to me.
I cannot figure another reason to see this PPS pushed to .96 on a strange amount of movement to see the BIDs and ASKs fall off again.
Long-term winner, short-term frustrator, I believe.
Apparently, for even less. Looks like HERB's ghost-run is over. Shot to .96 and now the Bid and Ask are .75 and .89, respectively.
So, 'merger' news made this run to near double its value, now what? Looks a lot more like a short run to me.
If we're being fair to ICBU, they're not the only sham out there. And many of those farses created dividend shares...
But, I'm guessing you haven't heard anything about those dividend shares either.
Why do we bother still talking about ICBU?
Wasn't ICBU going to write-off most of their debt with that 1-for-1 share spinoff for shareholders as of Feb 28?
Where those dividend shares at? Wasn't supposed to take this long, was it?
"Learned helplessness", I like that.
But you got me, I did not read the entire 10-K. Good to hear.
What merger? The Meng Yuan hemp joint venture announced in November 2014? Or, did I miss one?
