Man, I've been holding Strat forever LOL...still am holding all my shares for some reason. Kick myself for not selling when we were in the high .20's back in 2005. oh well, still hoping something will become of Strat or they will sell the stock as a new shell start-up company.
Mick
Thanks Velvet. Good Post! eom
I picked up another 500,000 shares @ 0.0012 on Friday around noon. My order was actually placed on Thursday before open (500,000 @ 0.0012 "Good for 60 days" and did NOT select AoN).
Thursday the stock sold shares below my bid which is very aggrevating especially because my bid was higher and NOT AoN....oh well, they finally filled it the following day.
I'm still holding all my shares since 2004 (yes, I have very much invested in Strat Petroleum) and peek in on the board once in awhile but keep my postings to a very bare minimum. Good to see Velvet posting and would like to see Stratnut, Randy, Shadow or Rich chime in occasionally.
Merry Christmas to all,

An older Russian article, but the bank and names sure ring a bell:
Dresdner Bank Set To Value Yukos Unit
http://www.sptimes.ru/index.php?action_id=2&story_id=1288
Combined Reports
MOSCOW - The Justice Ministry said Thursday it hired investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein to value Yukos' biggest oil producing unit, due to be sold off to pay the oil company's tax debt.
The unit, Yuganskneftegaz, pumps 60 percent of Yukos' daily oil output of 1.7 million barrels per day.
Yukos shares extended earlier gains to trade up 14.9 percent at 111.40 rubles after the announcement about the selection of DrKW, part of Germany's Allianz Group.
Analysts said the decision, announced in a terse statement, may increase chances of Yuganskneftegaz being sold at a decent price as the state seeks to recover a $3.4 billion tax debt owed by Yukos for 2000.
"The good news is that they've selected someone independent and reputable," Aton oil analyst Steven Dashevsky said.
"The uncertainty that remains is whether the price that is appraised will be the price that will be paid to the company."
It was a sign the Russian government wants to show it is following international practice in pursuing claims against Yukos that have shaken investor confidence in President Vladimir Putin's Russia.
Moscow Arbitration Court denied on Thursday a request from Yukos to give it more time beyond the end-August deadline to pay a $3.4 billion back tax bill for 2000.
Yukos had asked for more time, saying it cannot meet the deadline because it lacks spare cash and is banned from selling assets to raise more money.
Yukos' 2001 and 2002 taxes are also under scrutiny.
Some analysts have worried that the government, which appears determined to dismantle the oil company, would make the tax claim as much as it needs to seize Yukos oil units.
Yukos itself has put a value of over $30 billion on the unit based on its reserves, while analysts give it a market value of $12 billion to $20 billion.
The announcement came in after business group Menatep, the vehicle of core Yukos owners including Khodorkovsky, declared Wednesday that Yukos is in default on a $1.6 billion loan Menatep had provided to the company last year.
Analysts said the move meant Yukos' core owners were giving up hope that the oil giant would survive and were trying to recover at least some money before it ends up in state hands.
By issuing a default notice, Menatep could be threatening to seize export revenues from Yukos, effectively pushing the Kremlin to choose between allowing the group to get its money or disrupting oil exports, one of the cards that keeps Russia at the top table of world politics.
Yukos contributes about 20 percent of Russia's total crude oil output, while Russia is the world's No. 2 oil exporter after Saudi Arabia.
A source close to Yukos said Wednesday that the default notice means that the creditors will be able to seize up to 75 percent of Yukos export revenues if they wish to proceed quickly with debt collection.
All three Menatep directors were unavailable for comment Wednesday.
Last month, Societe Generale announced that Yukos is in default on a separate syndicated $1 billion loan.
Even without Menatep seizing export revenues Yukos already exists on a fraction of the funds it needs to operate the company.
The Yukos source said "problems with cash are already a very serious issue," adding that it is only a matter of days before the company will face problems with paying out salaries.
Breaking the pattern of avoiding debate about the fate of Yukos, a top government energy official said Wednesday that the freeze of Yukos accounts imposed by courts in April could soon lead to a disruption of Yukos output.
"If the accounts are not unfrozen, the company will be forced to stop production," said Sergei Oganesyan, head of the Federal Energy Agency, which oversees national energy security.
Oganesyan said that the agency and the Energy and Science Ministry have appealed to prosecutors, tax authorities and the Court Marshals Service to allow Yukos temporary access to its accounts.
An oil company "is not a spigot that can be opened or shut. An enterprise may die because of it," he said.

Sorry for your loss Velvet and great to see you back! Still long here and I've continued to pick up shares.....back to lurking in the dark lol.
kcim8675
Most are still around and holding on to shares tightly. Still very long and strong with all my shares in place (still buying when funds are available).......goin' on 3 years almost LOL (Not quite, but close). I knew this was a long term hold from the start, those that don't know, here is a little advice...... "This IS a long term hold!". Back to lurking.
Health and happiness to all,
Kcim8675
lazyeye... I'm still here lurking and hold EVERY share I've purchased. I know Strat will be large and I'm waiting it out. I don't post much anymore but still lurk every day and have been accumulating shares quietly.
Kcim8675
Welcome back Rich, hope you're settled in by now. I picked up more shares on the last downswing to .005......and still holding all my shares from 2004, 2005, 2006, and now 2007 LOL. My account is looking anemic though.
Hope we get an update or filings soon.
Back to lurk mode.
Best of luck to all,
Kcim8675
I started buying SPRU/SPRL shares on 8/4/2004. I'm still holding all my shares and am down about $70K+ which hurts but I still believe Sam will come through. I still hold all shares including the first shares purchased from 8/4/2004.
BTW: I've been broke lately but did manage to finally pass the 1,000,000 share mark which probably means little to those just getting into Strat at it's current pps but I have alot invested in Strat as far as endless hours and hours of DD and of course a very large sum of cash that's tied up.
Maybe I'm just drinking the Kool-aid but my DD and the people involved within Strat's management keep me holding and believing - ALL DD checks out and is legit from my research. Looks like I may be losing my day job soon and I'm hoping Strat does something in the near future. My portfolio looks anemic.
They will make it BIG IMO. JMHO, take it for what it's worth. Back to lurk mode......
kcim8675
MrSparks - I believe they start accumulating the 400 barrels as of the 22nd through the end of the week and then ship.....at least that's how I read the statement. Good news no matter how you look at it.
kcim8675
I'll be adding even more if I can scrape together some cash. With Christmas coming up the cash flow is tight (and at the best time to buy spru / sprl)! I think I have an illness, I can't quit buying Strat Petroleum LOL??? Maybe acute viral
SPRL-itis?
Today's an ice/snow day from work woohoo! Most likely tomorrow also.
Best of luck to all longs and thank you Mr. Hyams and team for the hard work and your endless hours or should I say YEARS put into building this company.....and we're only getting started!
kcim8675
Wow! Glad I was at work today.... what a drama LOL. I've done my DD, I've done my DD, I've done my DD and I've done my DD AND have held for over 2 years and will continue to hold. This is a REAL company! Long and strong!
Congrats to the longs that didn't take the bait and sell! Best of luck to all!
kcim8675
They finally filled my small order:
Wed Nov 22 10:24:37 2006 Buy 35000 SPRL Executed @ $0.017
It's about time!
Happy Thanksgiving Eve
kcim8675
Thanks airdale1, I've been in Strat and accumulating for over 2 years now (8/4/2004 was my first buy)....my pps is around $0.0686 and I'm currently holding 950,000 shares (yep, do the math, $65k invested.. my current pps stings a little). Still trying for the million share club and still have full confidence in Strat Petroleum and Mr. Hyams. And you're correct, patience is needed by shareholders. Strat will realize their true value in time. Financials and/or dividends will eventually be key to a very healthy pps, this doesn't happen overnight though.
IMHO, they are severely undervalued and a great buy but I've been tapped out of cash lately.
Best of luck to all longs,
kcim8675
Ditto Cheesehead ...very nice post Green eom
kcim8675
I had a GTC / 35,000 @ $0.017 order in today.....they didn't fill ANY shares through etrade. This trade was NOT AoN.......MM's are really screwing around with pps and not letting the market determine fair value (what's new though).
JMHO
kcim8675
Cool, have a good week!
kcim
Brent,
You got me there, it's not an inked postmark but the one in the front upper right corner that says:
Presorted
First Class
U.S. Postage
PAID
Clearwater, FL
Permit #888
No, I didn't call the number yet. I did find out this company is an IR firm ( lynxir.com )....same logo on postcard as website, etc....
The card does say call to speak with our Strat Petroleum, Ltd. representative. So this is either Strat's new IR team or someone that snagged our names to try and pump a stock to a list they got from somewhere. The thing that really got my attention was the "call our Strat Petroleum, Ltd. representative" and the "CLEARWATER, FLORIDA" postmark. Also, my name is in full as provided to etrade only (full middle name is included)......
Who knows? I'm working all week and don't have the time to play phone tag with them ........time will tell. Most likely you'll get your postcard within a day or two.
Best wishes to all longs,
kcim
I got a postcard from "Lynx Consulting" as well. It says:
"Please call 866-210-4671 to speak with our Strat Petroleum, Ltd. representative to learn more."
It has in big letters across the upper right "SPRL.pk", also first class postage from "CLEARWATER, FLORIDA!!", not bulk mail (Permit #888)??
Randy, Rich, Shadow, if your scanning this, the post-mark is VERY, very interesting!!
Nice day today!
kcim8675
My WAG = 11/22/2006 8:35am
Thanks, I'm still holding my 950,000 shares but just wanted to finally round out to the million club and got the "surprise". They ought to change their name to SlowTrade or HoldYourMoneyUntilWeWantYouToTrade LOL.
Have a great weekend longs.
kcim8675
I transferred money into my Etrade account today to pick up more shares and the money didn't show up?? I called etrade and they now have a 5 BUSINESS day waiting/holding period on funds transferred!
So much for hitting the million share club today. I've always just transferred money and it's been available immediately..... what the hell happened and did any of you know of the etrade policy change??
The rep said that the policy change took place a 1.5 months ago. First time I've seen it....pizzes me off! My funds are now tied up until next Thursday...........

TFN - FACTS only...........I'm going into lurk mode and will ignore you, so don't bother responding.....I know you will though LOL. You are now on ignore until you can learn proper DD and post FACTS.
TFN - You need to post FACTS, not your feelings....you tell me to "get control of myself"......I'm always in control and you're PO'd because I have you pegged LOL.
Talk to the company TFN, you won't though. Talk to the T/A, you won't....... touchy, feely and control of the IHUB board = scary IMO.
FACTS only...........
We came down from 36 cents similar to the way we fell in pps from october 2004 to november 2004...oh, you weren't in the stock then, you wouldn't know.
TFN - Call the TA, that is if you know how to dial.

TFN -- you're a scammer like the rest...I thought you were different.
greg - my favorites are in the junior/exploration sector:
KBR.to (Kimber Resources)
LAM.v (Laramide Resources) - I screwed up and sold Laramide and it ran from .22 to $1.50 or so, bah humbug! I sold it to buy more SPRL so it has worked out so far LOL.
SRLM.pk (Sterling Mining)
The gold and silver juniors have taken a beating this last year which makes no sense but I don't make up the rules LOL. Some of the companies are dirt cheap right now! Check out the work of Jim Puplava at http://www.financialsense.com and David Morgan at http://www.silver-investor.com . Both are very knowledgable in the metals as well as oil. Jim Puplava has a free 3 hour downloadable (MP3) weekly radio program that covers commodities and the market in general weekly ( http://www.netcastdaily.com/fsnewshour.htm ) . The upcoming 10-15 year commodity bull market will be a fun one (hint: we are in it now).
My favorite though is actual physical silver and gold bullion (not collectable coins) ........I'll take physical over paper stocks anyday. Physical has done very well for me over the past 4 or 5 years. Keep in mind it's a long-term investment. A reliable physical dealer that I've used since 2000 is http://www.tulving.com/goldbull.html .....about the best physical prices you'll find, his website is not the best but it's always up to date on prices.
This company will be similar to PKZ IMO. If the company keeps executing as they have been......many more deals are on the table if not already closed and we also have our own drilling company now . Management has a business plan and are following it to a T, not to mention big name contacts and advisors on the international oil business scene.
I'm still holding my position that I purchased from around August 3, 2004 until the end of Dec. 2004. My average share price overall is around 5.5 cents a share (kept avg. down) so I'm still up 220% or so currently....it's tough sometimes with the wild swings in pps, but those that are patient and hold will be rewarded bigtime IMHO.
Enough rah, rah, cheerleading stuff, those that have done their DD into this company already know what I'm talking about, I'm just preaching to the choir.
Hey Churak.... it's my ADCC stock buddy LOL (hopefully that will pay off big some day).
Good here, recovering from surgery quickly. I've mainly been following the SPRL board on RB (it's a circus over at the RB SPRL board right now LOL). Seems fairly quiet over here as of late.
Very good find greg! eom
I'd really like to hear about the company audit starting and the company auditing them. We can file and still be a pinksheet for as long as we want or need. The new exchange will come after all of the PR's IMO. Who knows though, I expected some news last week..........
I'm long and strong, nothing has changed fundamentally with the company, if anything they're stronger now and have more opportunities than before!
I'm looking for an announcement of an audit started, in progress, or completed (to move up to a reporting exchange). After that positive news then BAM, the announcement of one closed deal after another, after another, after another, etc... BAM! JMHO
BAM!

Not sure why they have an addendum to the regular list, but SPRL was on the addendum for a few days before they got on the main sho list.
Tanail - Maybe more properties open for us to partner with Gazprom on....other than that, nothing.
