I think that they are training for when they may go into international waters. I don't think that anyone would attack
a ship in Israeli waters. We have seen in the past what happens
when the Israeli commandos take over.

This morning the NY metals market pushed silver back .26 in the 1st few minutes but the metal rebounded by .53 to a high of $15.42. silver is currently trading at $15.33.

Today gold closed down .50 at $954.10 and silver closed down .05 at $15.17. Silver was up .29 when the NY market opened but NY knocked it back to $15.01 before silver could get back to close at $15.17. So far this week gold is down .50 and silver is down .10.

Today gold closed up $3.90 at $954.60 and silver closed up .33 at $15.22. For the two days gold is unchanged and silver is down .05.

Today gold closed down $3.90 at $950.70 and silver closed down .38 at $14.89.

Today gold closed down $25.80 at $954.60 and silver closed down .61 at $15.27. For the week gold is down $25.00 and silver is down .52. The gold/silver ratio is 62.51

The NY metals market is at it again. Silver lost .60 in less than a half hour and gold lost $25.80. I may have missed it but I see no reason for a pullback of this magnitude.

The silver lease rates continue to drop which indicates to me that the paper players and the bullion banks are continuing to roll over their contracts rather than try to get out of them.

Today gold closed up $17.80 at $980.40 and silver closed up .57 at $15.88. So far this week gold is up .80 and silver is up .09.
The lease rates continue to be cut every day which has been going on for weeks.

Today gold closed down $18.50 to $962.60 and silver closed down .65 to $15.31. So far this week gold is down $17.00 and silver is down .48.

Today gold closed up $6.50 at $981.10 and silver closed up .37 at $15.96. So far this week gold is up $1.50 and silver is up .17.

It has been my experience to see the metals take a rather large hit during June, July and August. So the hit should come any time now and should last until the end of August. The bullion banks have been doing everything that they can to help. The lease forward rates have been going down steadily for the past several weeks. It will be fun to see what they will do during the summer months.

On 5-1-09 the ratio was 70.86. The gap has closed by 8.82 in one month which is a lot even in a bull market. The euro was up .0158 against the American dollar and the Canadian dollar was up .0237.

Today gold closed down $3.80 at $948.30 and silver closed up .14 at $14.75. So far this week gold is down $8.20 and silver is up .06. The gold/silver ratio is now 64.29. On January 30th the ratio was 73.17.

For the 1st two days of this week gold closed down $4.40 at $952.10 and silver closed down .08 at $14.61.

The gold/silver ratio for the week is 34.59 and the overall gold/silver ratio is 65.11. The euro made a nice gain against the US dollar, going from 1.3501 last Friday to 1.4003 today. The Canadian dollar also had a nice gain, going from .8489 last Friday to .8931 today.
