this thing is a debacle-and-a-half.. paid $2k on the way to accruing 330K shares around a .005 average. for a short period of time, was actually up on this shell of an enterprise. now, even if MDNT somehow escapes the greys, the inevitable r/s will fragment the pennies that I have remaining thousands of times. best of luck to all holders and coastal GA small government, alike; I truly hope these guys don't get away with prospecting murder here.
if the 1/1,000 has been green-lighted, as the mail from my broker seems to suggest, I will have lost all faith in FINRA as an impartial guardian to investors.
As a present shareholder, I don't understand how on earth one could be supportive of a R/S - especially one of such a depreciating fabric. I hope that either FINRA flat out denies it, or the company issues a release detailing a significantly more modest split -- which could be the impetus to a compellingly profitable whirlwind of events. If the 1-1000 is permitted, I will be of the opinion that there exists little to no regulatory security for investors.
Though I, too, would like to believe that it can recover organically, there isn't much of a precedent for doing so. A modest split would be conceivable to me; but a 1000/1 being approved by the regulatory eyes glaring at us seems highly unlikely. I want to learn from my mistakes, but feel exceedingly trigger-happy ~.0003. Even the staunchest of optimists have to admit that all of their eggs are in Koppelman's proverbial basket. If not for his cachet and pedigree, none of us would still be on board. I hope that this week is at the least telling -- one way or the other. But I fear it will yield but another litany of ambiguities. GLTA, from an exasperated Savannahian.
an honest question for the vested longs still aboard our ship of fools: are you looking forward to or dreading an R/S?
Welp, the website is a concerted positive; I don't consider it news-worthy or laudable, though. Why should it take this long to have an operational 'net address?! I laughed at the photos and description of 'bucolic coastal GA' when, ostensibly, said images were but a tract of cleared farmland in Methingham. Apologies for the tone of this post, but I am truly disappointed in either our collective gullibility or the intent of our 'baby's' gatekeepers. Best of luck to all fellow bag holders.
Please do deign to expound on said 'strides' for a like-minded Savannahian who, for better or worse, is holding a few-thousand-pound bag at present. As RH alluded to, be we vested here or not, a six-figure tab for the accumulation of attorney fees, wining and dining, hotel stays, etc. has been picked up by the public to date. I hope that you can find it within yourself to pardon any south Georgians who would prefer to take a break from the prodigal servings of discursive Kool Aid that we've thirsted on for the past year or two. I, for one, remain mindfully supportive of the entire project; but the deck is unquestionably stacked against the pockets of tenured shareholders. I can and will take the loss of an investment in stride, but taxpayers do not deserve to be dealt the same blow. Ciao
I would imagine that the Herald is working on a comprehensive write-up at present. Color me thrilled if it addresses ANY of the following:
I. Source of purported $15M-20M 'initial' investment
Shareholders can only hope that we are not counting on Yellow's release to yield said gains..
II. Construction time-table
Do the county and/or state have the cheek to hold our feet to the fire? One would think that only so many revisions and staff overhauls will fly before the relationship becomes tenuous if not acrimonious.
III. Yellow update
Though I doubt that this will be measured by local papers, we all know that as our sole 'asset,' its reception is largely contingent on our immediate future.
I am surprised that the revised master appears as quixotic as Manu's initial utopia-to-(not)be.. I dig the futbol field - not only as a fan of world sport - as it would appear to be a conciliatory approach to appeasing the county and region that are the only parties keeping us afloat. GLTA -- I guess that ANY news is positive at this point.
Incredibly optimistic; I, for one, hope that it proves to be truthful. This has been my first foray into the market and it has been quite the learning experience. I averaged down on an initial MDNT investment with the profits from an MMJ play and was lured, in part, by a dreamy project and message. I really hope that we live to see another day for the sake of Savannah metro and shareholders, alike. Cheers
My stake may underwhelm - 333K - but I have been approaching Medient, from the outset, as a wholesale learning tool.. I am from Savannah, would see Kumaran & Co. in one of my venues of employment regularly, and was frankly intrigued. As an inaugural investment, this dreamy could-be was (and, admittedly, still is) a feasible means of paying off an undergraduate degree debt and landing a foothold in a tenuous-at-best financial landscape. I would be willing to commit to establishing any DD of utility to our cause, given a tangible sign from management that they are in this to win it.
At present, I'm down about 55%; I'd like to average down a little bit further, but as many longs before me have commiserated, the transparency here is offensively nonexistent. I am wishing all of you the best of luck, and would be very interested in establishing some sort of a like-minded, Savannah-borne network in the near future. Happy Fathers' Day to all. Ciao
if the long way back's outset is day one of the twentieth world cup, I will know that these shares were predestined to be mine!!
I can only hope that this mirror image of my own perception is as prescient and articulate as I divine mine to be.. intellectual vanity aside, I do wholeheartedly agree with each of the points that you have made, and pray that we are the presently bleeding benefactors of an artful and idyllic plan. like you said, its dreamy appeal is alluring; hopefully, a simple realignment of gatekeepers brings it to fruition. ciao & cheers
Wowwww. Cannot wait to get off work and read up on this. How do longs feel, if they can afford me a few words?
Doubled up at .0028 around noon; thought that the bottom was in at .0025. Realllly hoping that I shouldn't have waited for trips ??
immense volume as of late. looking to double my position in the high-twos; is there any way that somebody can link me to the physical PR? I can't seem to find it for some reason. 'preesh
not to be a downer, but are we really hitching our copper and silver horses to a limited release film in lieu of studioplex finance news? I, for one, bought into the albeit grandiose 'I have a dream'/'east coast hollywood' rhetoric of the past.. I hope that longs are not straying from the initial promise of said venture
pretty much verbatim where I am in regards to today's news and vestigial gains.. I was initially here short-term, but think riding it out for awhile is in the cards for me, now. I expected a lot more volume today but, in reality, I understand why it's not there. Interested to see just how quickly these products do go to market. I'm confident in a higher PPS towards the end of the summer, and look forward to keeping an eye here.
I presently have but a nominal holding here, but still dig the trajectory of the artist formerly known as TTDZ.. Any chartist projections for the short-term floating around? GC seems to have ran fairly healthily up/down on its PRs, to date; but, between them, are we alarmed by the clockwork ride back down to the mid .01s? My best to all!
still waiting for the bottom.. with all due respect to the resident chartists and longs, alike, one (or, at least not moi) cannot vest much credibility in projections or anything empirical at a level this subterranean and volatile. I'm hoping to catch her at or close to the nadir; regrettably, though, I feel that we may be bleeding a ways lower.
here & holding on Tybee Island.. would love to add more right meow if not for fear of an R/S. Hate to play the pessimist - in fact, it's a label I pride myself on being the antithesis of. Thus, I'll enjoy my tiny share in - fingers crossed - a colossus-to-be, and glean some pro-bono trading lessons from the myriad of seasoned trading minds gathered here. Thanks and good luck to all.
Why anyone would sell now is beyond me. Yes, all longs are bleeding tough; but, chartists aside, if we're vested, what's the point of recouping a fraction of what we invested? I'm waiting -- and even hoping -- that we hit trips to add A LOT more. Nobody here is hurting bad enough that a few months or years will alter the complexion of their financial well-beings. Visca MDNT. Checking the forum and quotes daily is probably the worst thing that any of us could do. But, existentially, given the metronomic stature of the dollar/euro, etc. we are all but destined to do so. GLTA. longs, check only for lower lows and opportunity for averaging down, because it's going to be awhile in my humble opinion.
To those eyeing points of reentry or averaging down, are you thinking today or tomorrow like I am? With the 10Q imminent and a return stateside for our CEO late next week, can this bleed much further? Do you feel that news will propel us northward for good or have the same effect it has to date? Interested in all opinions, bueno suerte a todos
Hope that you can glean some quality DD with your appointment @ Rocks. I am a Savannahian who works down the street on West Congress and would love to hear what comes of said 'date.' I'm trying my best to remain poised in waiting for the impetus to add!!
I agree wholeheartedly.. I've got some Dalwhinnie at my bar with your name on it, brotha. Browsing this board is simultaneously therapeutic and discouraging -- I admit an amorous lien in regards to my dedication to and hopes for Medient, which is completely adverse to a wise investment strategy. This is my first try, though, and I do believe in the project. Let us wait and see if our rhetorician of a CEO can come thru for us. Best
I'm as optimistic and long as you, brotha, but we can't fault anyone for being skeptical at this juncture. I've got some duckets cleared at present and would love to invest at the mid-day nadir (given an absence of PR) come Monday, but I'm hesitant in waiting for a lower bottom. I do expect an uptick but think it may not come until post-Cannes, which is a cool two trading weeks down the road. Bueno suerte, I hope that you stay on board and start drinking a non-blended scotch that I can cheers you on come 4Q ????
Actually, initial haul was at .012 in early January. Probably ought to have collected on that when we were testing .03 but was stubborn and too optimistic given anything but transparency from our CEO. I say it goes lower until Manu gets back from Cannes mid-to-late May and, thus, am waiting...
Looking to add; what say the longs? Do y'all think it can cruise into the .006's & conceivably lower? Or should I be thankful to be able to slap the ask right here?
Balls -- I'm sure that your reticence to call a spade a spade & completely walk away is shared by many of us. While I'd be remiss to not admit that I wish I'd have taken a board member's advice and sold some to 'play for free,' I'm in it for the three-year-plan. With ups and downs (more to come, IMO) abounding, MDNT has all the trappings of a bio-pic hit on its own.. I hope that a handful of you genuinely down-to-earth posters ride this to what the wishful thinker would term is pay dirt. Cheers & namaste.
This is nuts ??????
Geez, this is quite the unsettling drop.
I suppose that it's time to double up shares..
We didn't happen to gap up this morning at open, did we? Looks like this had already touched .04 on Friday. I hope so??!!
Either way, looking great sans press with a symbol change & a myriad of news on the back burner!
Tranquilo, brajh. I hope that you're on board but, generationally speaking, cynicism is all-too twenty-first century for a dreamer. Best of luck
This is the first stock that I have ever purchased a share in.. I am the antithesis of skeptical; if I were of wealth I would be loading up, as well. Being from Savannah, I am rooting as hard as you all are with more than independently financial interests. Just trying to learn a thing or two, patna, that's all
I get all of that, read the board pseudo-religiously; just failing to grasp the empirical data I guess
To the Doc, chartists, and all of the preeminent names on this forum -- pardon my ignorance, but I am inclined to wonder just what is establishing these oft-cited .19 and .35 benchmarks..
the 10k and, chiefly, manu's letter oozed the pathos & charisma of a true thespian. his letter certainly rallied those who keep up with MDNT daily (a lot more than just us, imo) and probably contributed to some reticence to invest here short-term (or immediately thereafter publicity is released) given today's nosedive. all things considered, though, I suppose it was somewhat predictable.. Hard as it may be to do so after days like these -- and a few may be ahead -- we all need to consider the swath and length of the project at hand, and not waver.
now that was a gnarly, sixty-minute dip.. hope everybody is still on board. #mdnt#912-borne
:) @BB. I hope that things go through the roof for us all. I know many of you are of wealth at present. MDNT was my first trade ever. I do not have much if any disposable income, but got what I could afford on a pseudo-whim; that is, I had met Manu and a few of his entourage/BOD, am very familiar with the (financial) lure of GA to modern industry, and was/am thrilled to support local economy. The almighty dollar and its hegemony on priority has and always will be a societal indictment to me. But if MDNT can give me the comfort to start climbing out of undergraduate debt, I will be forever thankful. Onward & up, Happy April Bull's Day!!
I am hoping to hear some tangibles re: construction, timeline & contractor specifics in the morning. while the gains that the doctor & fellow chartists foresee are anything but nominal, should this project truly come to fruition on the aggregate (or, for shorts' minds, even appear to be doing so) the yield could be staggering.. life-altering at that.
GLTA: investors, traders, shorters, alike; I, for one, relish the sense of community that has been cultivated here. always a pleasure to learn from and share with you all.
the Good (if not Great) Dr. is right.. no use in tripping on a few days of consolidation, imo. I wish that I could keep my eyes off the chart(s) and the prices for a week, myself; but this is our baby, no? either you're long and hoping to healthfully fill said empirical indicator of an entity on the rise, or you're over-analyzing out the whoo-ha. just my two (point 55) cents.
