Mine Life and Ore to be Processed per Year:
Do you know how much ore Niocorp will be mined per year? I just wanted to have a better understanding about the NPV of the project. Before someone mentioned 1.53M tons per year which I believe is too low.
Elk Creek has 80,500,000 tons of indicated and 99,600,000 tons of inferred resources that makes a total of 180,100,000 tons. At 1.53M per year mining rate, the mine life should be about 118 years.
Before I heard that the mine life would be 30 years, that would give ore to be processed per year 6,000,000.
Can anyone explain what is the mine life Mark is thinking about, or how much ore Mark is planning to mine per year?
This will help us to determine reasonable NPV estimates
Here is the dirty NPV based on the rough calculation:
Initial Investment = $500M
Mine Life = 30 years
Discount Rate = 7%
Cash Flow = $5B per year (see my previous post)
Present Value (PV)= $62 Billion
Net Present Value (NPV)= PV - Initial Investment
= $62B - $500M
= $61.5B
So NPV = $61.5B ($308/share based on o/s 200M)
Insitu Resources Values
1) Niobium(Nb) approx. 1,000,000,000 Kg @$43/Kg =$43 Billion
2) Scandium (Sc)approx. 12,000,000 Kg @ $18,000 /Kg=$216 Billion
3) Titanium (Ti) apprx. 2,000,000,000 Kg @$5/Kg = $10 Billion
Total Insitu resource value = $269 Billion
At 60% recovery, recoverable resource value= $161 Billion
Revenue over 30 years mine life = $161/30 = $5 Billion per year
We are way more undervalue!!!!
I grabed 25k shares at this lower price that brings my total holding to 95,000 shares mostly bought below $0.20. My goal is to pay off my mortgage with NB when hits $4.0 within the next 18 months.
Cheers all longs.
Thanks. It is already listed and trades in TSX Venture Exchange.
I am still not sure what this addition or upgrade is. Do you think this will give better visibility to NB in the market?
A news out after the market where NB is included: S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Quarterly Review of S&P/TSX Venture Select Index
http://www.stockhouse.com/news/press-releases/2014/07/11/s-p-dow-jones-indices-announces-quarterly-review-of-s-p-tsx-venture-select
Does anybody know what this news really means for NB?
Does anybody can calculate the recoverable lbs of Nb at 55% recover rate and 0.40% cut-off grade?
Currently Nb is trading at $42/Kg. This will give some idea about the value of the recoverable Nb that roughly be translated to value per share.
Cheers Folks!
I am following this stock since from three years.Initially I bought 100k at a cost of CAD$0.12 - CAD$0.09. Then sold 50k when it jumped to CAD$0.18 last year.
Currently I am holding 80k and planning to sale 50% of my position when Mark Smith starts selling. I strongly believe lots of money to be made with this one.
Unique Niobium resources with smart management.
Cheers Folks! No worry!
In conversation with Tony Pullen - BioTuesday
Commented about Titan as follows:
Companies I like are those with relevant technologies for the future. Take Titan Medical (OTCQX:TITXF; TSX-V:TMD), for example. Robotics pioneer, Dr. Reiza Raymond, is developing a surgical system at Titan with more flexibility and versatility than Intuitive Surgical’s (NASDAQ:ISRG) da Vinci robotic system. When the Titan system is de-risked, I believe Intuitive will have to buy Titan at a huge price for a seamless transition to a new product line.

Some sophisticated traders might be playing with the warrants bid and ask prices. I noticed, if the bid price of TMD share goes up, say for example by $0.01, the bid price of all the warrants (TMD.WT, TMD.WT.A-C) also goes up by $0.01 simultaneously. It means the same trader is always at the highest bid price for all warrants.
I also observed the same patterns for with ask price of common share and all warrants.
Interesting!
Thanks CUIN2.
It is a complex decision warrant holder has to make based on:
1) Current share price relative to the warrant exercise price
2) Warrant expiry date
3) Risk tolerance of the warrant holder
Regards,
Thanks CUIN2.
I believe you have to pay capital gain tax. You have to pay tax on the capital gain only not on the whole proceeds from sale.
In Canada I don't have to pay any taxes on the capital gain as all my investment is in my Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA).
Thanks
Thanks cjrick01.
For warrants like TMD.WT that trades in the open market you have two options:
1) Sell warrants in the open market at a price determined based on the intrinsic and time value of the warrants. You will get proceeds from the sale but no share of Titan. Most of the warrant holders prefer this option to avoid hassle for exercising the warrant.
2) Exercise warrant if the warrant is in the money. Exercising warrant does not make sense if it is not in the money because you can buy share cheaper than the price you pay to exercise the warrant.
In the example of my previous email, I will sell 14,000 TMD.WT at the market price (at $5-$1.85) and get proceed of $44,000. To sell warrant in the open market, I don't need to buy share of Titan at $1.85.
You need to buy share of Titan at $1.85 if you want to exercise the warrant, and in that case you have to have capital $25,900 ($1.85*14,000=$25,900) upfront to receive 14,000 share of Titan.
Thanks.
Thanks CUIN2, I always enjoy your informative posts.
Warrant is a great tool to leverage profit potential for small investor like me. I am a great fan of warrant and always buy more warrants than share when I see huge potential. I did make lots of money in the past investing in warrants.
I don't own any TMD share at this time. I own only 85,000 warrants as follows:
1) TMD.WT - 14,000 (Exercise price $1.85) - average cost $0.06
2) TMD.WT.A - 34,000 (Exercise price $2.0)- avg cost $0.10
3) TMD.WT.B - 10,000 (Exercise price $1.75)- avg cost $0.13
4) TMD.WT.C - 27,000 (Exercise price $1.25)- avg cost $0.11
Here is my plan with my Warrants:
Say for example, TMD share trades at $5, then sell 14,000 TMD.WT in the open market to raise a capital = 14,000 * ($5-$1.85) = $44,000. With this capital I will exercise 27,000 TMD.WT.C paying =27,000 * $1.25 = $33,750 (Titan will get this money).
I will apply similar strategy with all my other warrants based on the share price.
I strongly believe that majority of warrants will get exercised well before the expiry date if they are in the money. This will happen due to several inherent risks warrant has: low liquidity, wide price spread between bid and ask, uncertainties of warrants in case of buyout, etc.
Is this warrant going to be listed in the stock exchange like other warrants (A,B or C series)? As for example, C warrants listed for trading, I believe as part of the last financing or public offering in the beginning of 2013.
If the warrant from the current financing or public offering comes out like other warrant series (e.g. A, B or C), Titan will get proceeds once the warrants are exercised.
I feel another PR is coming tomorrow with an update on the progress of SPORT testing. Otherwise, the trading would have started today morning after the PR with offer price.
That's the only reason I can see why the trading did not resume today.
Any thought folks?
Here is post from Stockhouse:
FYI Last Financing Before Commercialization
This financing is going to be amazing for Titan!
The company needed approximately $30 million (if you actually speak to the company they will tell you that, I put a call into their IR dept. this afternoon). This will get them a complete finished product and a tested product!!!!
This financing will be in the $20 to $25 million range and includes a warrant as well – this will bring in more funding.
With all the other warrants outstanding (2 series of warrants in-the-money currently) there will be almost double the funding required, so this is the ABSOLUTE LAST FINANCING this company will ever need to complete the final product.
This is brilliant for the company and tomorrow there will most likely be a HUGE buying opportunity as some people will probably sell into this financing and drive the price down.
I will be accumulating over the next two weeks.
Once the financing is closed, you will see Titan rise again.
This is a gift.

The trading halt and financing news came out so close. My GlobeInvestor news alert to my Yahoo mail shows:
1) Trading halt alert at 3:19 pm
2) Financing news release alert at 3:22 pm
Does it mean that another PR is the reason for this trading halt?
"Canadian Biotech comes back to life: A buyer's guide" - By Tony Pullen, January 21, 2014
Comments on Titan Medical:
One other outlier company in this valuation range would be Titan Medical (TSX:V.TMD, Stock Forum). Based on the work of one of Canada’s leading-edge experts in robotic surgery, Dr. Reiza Raymand, Titan is in a unique position, assuming it can continue to procure patient capital to achieve full value for developing the “next gen” solution for this growing field of surgery. It is beyond a “David and Goliath” story. With a market cap of only $75 million vis-à-vis its only real comparator/competitor, Intuitive Surgical (valued at $15 billion), it is not for the faint of heart—but is world class in potential. Any thought on the share price in next 6-12 months?
Thanks cjrick01.
Do you have any idea what would happen to C or B warrants in case of takeover?
I own only 61k warrants (TMD.WT.C: Exercise price CAD$1.25, expiry 2018). Do you know what would happen to the warrant in case of take over?
