It's great to have Surfca back (sarcasm, folks). I've really missed how he can clog up a board with useless bickering. Remember the RB days....
See you all around, I'm giving up on I-hub for a while, too.
Mosconiac
p.s. This is where you call me a "content cop" or "Nazi" again Surfca.
Mahinui: Thanks for clearing up the mess.
Have you considered posting your response on RB just to clear the air?
Mosconiac
I agree Tom. I am looking for NV to see the $1 level again. It has nothing to do with my view of the Co., just what I expect the market to do. If we see support there, I'm a buyer again (have been for a long time). If we don't see the strong support I expect at $1, then I'll show some more patience and see where the market takes us so I can maximize the number of shares I get for my $$$.
Good luck. Mosconiac
Tom: I find your posts on technical analysis very interesting. Please keep them coming.
Mosconiac
p.s. I'm sitting on the sidelines waiting to buy more ("waiting for the stock to begin an upmove on LARGE VOLUME to buy" as you said).
Thought I would run the numbers today to see if I could justify the drop in PPS based on trading activities. These are my results:
Total Number of shares traded (at Ask): 402,800 (44%)
Total Number of shares traded (at Bid): 360,000 (17%)
Total Number of shares traded (Between): 150,400 (39%)
Total Dollar Value of Trades (at Ask): $616,300 (Ave. PPS: $1.530)
Total Dollar Value of Trades (at Bid): $539,500 (Ave. PPS: $1.499)
Total Dollar Value of Trades (Between): $228,700 (Ave. PPS: $1.521)
So I'm not convinced that the PPS should have retreated by nearly 19% based on trading activities.
The fact that the PPS fell AT ALL when approximately 20% more money was poured INTO the stock than was take OUT is amazing.
Oh well, life on the OTC.
Good day all, Mosconiac
I commend NV, Ray in particular, for undertaking this inevitable change in Presidency and CEO in such a Professional manner.
Giving the market two months to react to the change shows me that they have a clear and decisive plan for the future.
Ray has served NV well in the past and I thank him for it.
Ray has unselfishly stepped aside to allow others to carry the ball in for the touchdown.
Cooper has the track record NV needs to bring the tech to market. Tom has proven himself on several occasions and I'm very happy he is our new President & CEO.
Congratulation Ray and Tom.
Mosconiac
Thanks for posting the interview link Excel.
Very interesting.
Mosconiac
Love those MM's.
As expected, they let the SP run this morning and then pulled in the reins.
We topped out at 22% UP this morning and then the MM's walked it back to end the day 4% DOWN (and on the daily low no less). A nice slap in the face.
We finished 10% UNDER the VWAP eventhough most of the activity today rested on the ASK.
The MM's are filthy crooks.
Mosconiac signing off (and pointing out the obvious)
Look at Mikey spin on RB. He tries so hard, you can't help but laugh. He has 30 posts already this morning trying to spin this into bad news....

New Visual Corp. and Adaptive Networks Announce Progress on High-Speed Transmission Technology Development
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2002--New Visual Corp. (OTCBB:NVEI) and Adaptive Networks Inc. today announced progress on the high-speed transmission technology that they have been working on for the last several months.
New Visual is developing advanced communications technology for use over telephone lines that will allow for the delivery of true broadband services, such as video, at greater speeds and distances than currently available. Adaptive Networks, a leader in powerline communications, is providing technology development services for New Visual. The availability of Adaptive's patented technology has enabled New Visual to make significant progress on its technology development efforts over the last few months. The company had previously announced that it is working to develop a next-generation prototype to be verified in the field.
Since August, much of the development work has been conducted at Adaptive's lab facilities in Newton, Mass. According to Michael Propp, Ph.D., MIT, Adaptive's president and a member of New Visual's advisory board, "We have made significant engineering progress over the last two months. Our assumptions about the noise characteristics of the medium (copper telephone wire) have been validated. This enables us to improve data transmission on the medium to the extent that we anticipated. In particular, we can exploit the dynamic characteristics of the higher-frequency noise to maximize the available bandwidth and consequently throughput, by continuously exploiting dynamic changes in the available signal-to-noise ratio."
The company contends that these building blocks will enable New Visual's technology to surpass any known telephone wire broadband offering in business class and residential class markets beginning with the delivery of the prototypes now in development. Dr. Propp added, "With this achievement in hand, we are proceeding with the hardware prototypes that will demonstrate the technology in the field."
New Visual plans to ultimately offer an advanced ASIC chipset designed to provide symmetrical broadband service in business class products and asymmetrical service in residential products. Rich Wilson, New Visual's VP of business development, stated, "We're now working to complete well-known development steps in order to achieve the performance we are after in the real world. Our confidence in the system and the team is solid and we are all looking forward to sharing our progress with other industry leaders in this space."

Dump the bashers.
I thought I-Hub was created around the premise that bashers (and their posts) would be immediately removed by the administration?
Lets not allow I-Hub to degenerate into another RB.

New Visual Corp. Announces Update on High Speed Data Transmission Technology
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 2001--New Visual Corp. (OTCBB:NVEI - news) today announced that its previously announced development agreement with Adaptive Networks has yielded significant progress towards the completion of a prototype business-to-business product.
According to Michael Propp, Ph.D., MIT, “Adaptive Networks is very excited to be working with New Visual on the development of their extended-range high-speed copper wire transmission technology. The approach we are taking is unique and exploits key characteristics of the medium to yield significantly enhanced performance over existing technologies. We are creating a commercially viable technology that builds on our proven technology for communications over powerlines, a noisy and distorted media.”
Dr. Michael Propp and his brother David Propp co-founded Adaptive Networks in 1983 and have been issued several patents for their advancements in the transmission of data over powerlines. Michael Propp is working with the development team for the New Visual technology that includes, among others, Dr. David Greaves of Cambridge University.
Ray Willenberg, Jr., CEO of New Visual, added, “The New Visual technology development team has made great strides towards completing our first business-to-business product prototype. We are privileged to have such a proven team behind our efforts to provide an affordable solution to the 'last mile' bandwidth bottleneck.”

I find it very telling that I posted the same e-mail from JH on the RB BB and not a single person responded to it, only continued venom between bashers and the faithful. Actually, I debated even posting it there in the first place, but I reluctantly did.
JH's shortest answer was his most profound. To my question regarding RW's statement that negotiations were in late stages between NVC and "merger/acquisition candidates" (note the plural), he responded "Yes". No one responded with a "WOW, more acquisitions are ready?" or a "Gee, I wonder what else is planned?"...nothing. Maybe I missed the point.

Email From JH:
Mosconiac,
Thanks for your thoughtful analysis of the letter to the shareholders and your appropriate questions. To avoid confusion, I will post answers to each question in the text of your email.
John Howell
John,
I applaud NVC for issuing a letter to the Shareholders. A very
well-written and timed correspondence. Congratulations.
Unfortunately for your workload, this correspondence has given me reason to further a few questions to you:
In the second sentence, Mr. Willenberg states, "...I am pleased to present the first in a series of letters to the shareholders...". Has a schedule been set forth for the release of these letters, such as once a month?
JH) We do have a target frequency but rather than say once a month, and be subject to resultant 30 day routine, we would prefer to time the letters around significant events. That would allow us to expand on the implications of announcements or speak to multiple parallel events without the need to circulate press releases, which tend to be very focused on single topics. We do anticipate that these letters will be more than just discussion of historic events and contain new information, thereby requiring public disclosure. The best venue for such disclosure is the 8-K.
Additions to NVC's development team were noted in the letter. Specifically, Mr. McLeod and Mr. DeFord were named. Will these gentlemen be profiled by NVC, such as is done with members of the Board of Directors or Advisory Board?
JH) There is no plan to feature employees or consultants on the web page outside the groups you mentioned. For those interested, we could email bios, assuming the individual in mind has prepared one.
With respect to NVC's referral to a focus on noise, Mr. Willenberg stated, "In this context, Dr. Michael Propp has made significant contributions." Should the reader conclude that noise has presented a specific problem(s) for Cu@OCx and Dr. Propp's expertise has allowed NVC to solve this or did Dr. Propp simply contribute to the modelling of noise to assist future solution of a problem?
JH) If one were to articulate the "last mile" problem using copper, it would be reduced to a discussion of how to isolate the intended transmission of data from competing forces...noise. That is what limits the distance over which a signal can be received. That noise takes on various forms and each must be dealt with. This issue is not unique to our technology, how we deal with it is. Dr. Propp has proven his ability to successfully transmit data in spite of the noise.
With respect to NVC's exchange of information with carriers, Mr. Willenberg stated that "acceptable power levels" was an issue to be met. Does/can NVC's technology satisfy individual carriers requirements on power level? Related to this question, did NVC utilize elevated power levels during third-party confirmation of Cu@OCx? I recognize that "elevated" is a vague & relative term, but my goal is to determine if the power level utilized during third-party confirmation exceeded that which is typically allowed in telecommunication environments.
JH) There exist standards for the power level for the transmission of data. All tests to date and all designs for the future are done within the power levels of existing standards. We did not simply boost the power to achieve our results.
Mr. Willenberg stated, "We are in late stage negotiations with potential merger/acquisition candidates..." The fact that Mr. Willenberg used a plural ("candidates") intrigues me. Can the reader assume that additional merger/acquisition negotiations are also in late stages besides those recently announced by NVC concerning the intent to acquire Hytek Services?
JH) Yes.
If it meets with you approval, I request that I be allowed to share any or all of your responses with other Shareholders. I have always enjoyed the postings on the various bulletin boards regarding correspondence from you.
Thanks,
Mosconiac

Thanks for pointing me to the updated NV website!
WOW, how did I miss that? lol
The very humble, Mosconiac
Mikerub: No offense, but what is "new" about the website? I have been looking, but I can't see the "new" part. Seems like the same site that was brought up during the SHM (ignoring the removal of B&S from the Investor Information page, of course).
On that topic, NVC has announced Dr. Greaves' appointment to the Advisory Board, however, they have not profiled him on the website along with the other Advisory Board members. This is an oversight on behalf of the Company that I have brought to their attention. NVC should take every opportunity to get the word out that Dr. Greaves is on board.
Mosconiac
allanon: True, the story LOOKS nice, but it isn't much of a story to tell. Let's look at a few lines from this very good LOOKING article:
Actelis, of Fremont, Calif., says it can deliver 45-Mbit/s symmetrical bandwidth to multitenant office complexes over twisted-pair copper lines with reliability on par with fiber optics but without the hassle of digging trenches and obtaining construction permits.
The technology, dubbed by the company as Spatial Division Multiplexing (SDM), requires a box at the local carrier’s central office and one at the customer premises. One drawback of Actelis’s current product is that it requires 24 pairs of copper to deliver 45 Mbit/s bandwidth. Baron says the next generation will cut the number of pairs to 12.
But Actelis officials say that if a customer has fewer lines available, a smaller number of wires can be used to deliver proportionally less bandwidth.
Not much competition for NV, but it does illustrate the attention NV will enjoy when the world sees the light.
Mosconiac
THANKS PENGY!

Sonic: You ARE posting on the "new" board. This board has been created as a "basher-free" zone and is a pleasure to read. RB has long been ridiculous to read.
RB will quickly lose its luster when the "free" trial of Lyco's realtime quotes dries up. If IH takes up free realtime, IH will take RB's place as king of the hill and you will see all the "faithful" migrate over here. For the time being, they are fighting the good fight over at RB.

Elder: Agreed, I also hope Ivan is doing MUCH more than what is listed in the filing.
At this point, we can only guess what he is really doing "behind the scenes", but why should we have to? Shouldn't NV be proud of having Ivan on the BOD and tout his "deep" involvement in the business, if he is in fact. Reading the filing would lead one to believe that he is merely a figurehead. Not a good image to project.
Those that have done the DD will know his background as a patent attorney and what sort of asset that is for NV, but newbies may not. How about driving home the point NV?
Ok, enough armchair directing.

I checked into the membership costs for EDGAR Online and the CHEAPEST is "Level 1" at $9.95 per month. OUCH. They also limit the number of downloads you can request per month (AS A SUBSCRIBER REMEMBER) to 25!
From "free" to a minimum of $119.40 per year!
The "Level 3" is $1100 per year!

Is the chat room open? Having trouble getting in.
Did NV ever OFFICIALLY announce the SH Mtg? Have the Proxy Statements been sent? Seems that the SH's themselves set the date in stone.
Also, it seemed obvious to me that if UXB would not complete their work until mid-May, then NV could not send out a Proxy Statement containing information provided by UXB until at least that date. UXB's work will be a major focus of the SH Mtg, I am sure. Unfortunately, the SH's jumped the gun.
