This is definitely a start and an answer to the question "when will we start seeing revenues?"
At $25 per chip (or FPGA) $114,000 represents a reasonable start for a smaller company like Extreme Copper, but more than this our tech in the field will be a talking point for other companies.
An actual field trial of sorts, as there will undoubtedly be evaluations and comments from customers that actually use the tech.

I don't own my own business now, but I started several all on a shoestring. The last one I parked my van on main street and put out a sandwich board selling keys for 50 cents when the blanks cost me more than 30. I wrote business cards out on file folders and cut them out. I then went door to door at the businesses introducing myself and passing them out. It wasn't too long before I had a viable business. I guess my point is sometimes it takes just plain determination, and as you said anything to keep the doors open.
Ernie
I don't think the numbers are dwindling much at all. Unless your talking about the number of supporters willing to take the abuse for posting their thoughts among the die hard bashers. However, I believe we will have our day and enjoy it.
Ernie
I believe Cupria is real and performs as touted. I also believe telcos, manufacturers etc, are aware and interested. Telcordia's report is awesome, eSilicon investing in us is fantastic, TSMC taking us on is unbelievable.
What concerns me is all the cheap shares out there willing to settle for their percentage gains instead of holding for big profits. These, I believe, keep selling into our volume and keeping us down.
Thus; the "additional funds needed" could increase this pressure, or delay the rollout. Rim needs to raise these funds without more death spiral type financing. I believe management is weighing all options on this, and hopefully will find the right answer.
Ernie
That might make sense if I could understand what you wrote! LOL

President's Letter
April 25, 2007
Dear Fellow Shareholders,
Last week I told you about the formation of the Internet Protocol Subscriber Line Special Interest Group™, or IPSL SIG™. This program is designed to help us win new customers and build our revenues. I invite you to visit it at www.ipslsig.org to learn more.
As you will see from their website, some exciting companies attended the first meeting. Embarq Corporation hosted the meeting at their brand-new, state-of-the-art broadband lab in Overland Park, Kansas. They also sent representatives to the meeting. Other companies included Adaptive Networks, Inc., eSilicon Corporation, Extreme Copper, Telcordia Technologies as well as Rim Semiconductor.
Another thing happened at the first IPSL SIG™ meeting that you would be interested in. A big step in turning IPSL™ into an open protocol was accomplished. The draft standard of the IPSL™ open protocol was presented to the SIG. The draft was created by Dr. Ken Kerpez of Telcordia, which is a leading global provider of telecommunications network software and services for wireline carriers. We expect that in the future a technical committee will study this specification, add to it, and formally adopt it. This could occur as quickly as the next SIG meeting.
Following the meeting, the SIG has named its first executive director, Bill Narin. They also put out their first press release yesterday, which you can find at http://www.ipslsig.org/news.html. I believe that Bill is an excellent choice because of his deep background and experience in this area. Bill used to be the vice president of business development at Virata. Virata was famously the first vendor in the digital subscriber line, or DSL, market. During the height of the dot-com days, they were worth three billion dollars! Their pioneering chipset, Helium, rang up hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues, and is still on the market today.
Bill was hired by Virata to create a revenue generating licensing program around the intellectual property that the firm was, up until then, selling primarily in its own systems products. This licensing program was carefully integrated with chip sales and the resulting combination proved to be a huge commercial success. Back then he worked for one of Rim Semi’s current directors, Tom Cooper. Together, they re-wrote the book on how to make money from intellectual property. Bill tells me that in the eight years since he first “cracked the code”, he has not seen anything like the opportunity in IPSL™! Bill feels strongly that the potential for IPSL™ is the same as the potential for DSL back in the nineteen nineties – or even greater.
The reason that Bill agrees with us that IPSL™ has so much potential is that IPSL™ is like DSL, but better. It is built to run faster, and over longer distances, and with higher quality, than DSL. Just as important, Bill feels the market is decidedly more poised for IPSL adoption than it was with the launch of DSL, and clearly with an unprecedented level of pent up demand. Rim Semi invented IPSL™ and currently controls every bit of it. Our Cupria™ processor is the first physical chip that uses the IPSL™ data protocol. But this is changing a little bit. Now the IPSL SIG™ exists to let other companies build products – and even businesses – off of our innovations.
In all, these developments are exciting for all of us here at Rim Semi. I am confident and optimistic that the progress of the IPSL SIG™ will help us win new customers and build our revenues.
Sincerely,
Brad Ketch

That is an interesting theory of excel. We pay big bucks to get industry professionals with contacts in the industry, but we shouldn't tap any contacts they know. They should hire only people they don't know. HUH? .
That convinces me I should listen more to Excel as is logic is indisputable! LOL

I always was a distance man. Couldn't sprint for beans. Only one time did I fall short of the finish line. Quite literally I collapsed 50 yards short, burst blood vessels in my jaw straining for the finish.
I've been here for over 13 years, and I have recently purchased more shares destined for long term investment.
Ernie
They have suggested that of almost all of us longs. They have about as much evidence of that as they have "proof" of their scam. It's one of the things that refutes their credibility. However, to suggest that of Wheels just shows how little they know.
Ernie
Bigalan, just an observation, based on $55/hr for base engineers, more for the supervisor, even more for the VP in charge. Looking at those figures puts the CEO's salary a little more in perspective. Now bonuses at this time (and before) are problematic.
Ernie
It's a miracle!!!!
I got my proxy statement before the meeting. That hasn't happened in about 3 years. So see, there are changes in Rim. LOL
Ernie
From the replies I see the naynays are posting their **** like crazy. I got a mental picture of a house on fire and people dancing around like crazy trying to stomp out the flames. I'm sorry for the image, but it appears there is desperation in the air.
It appears that Bill Narin joins the list of scammers or those being dupped into thinking Rim has something.
I believe the stage is set to end this wait once and for all. I believe we will see great news within the next month and thereafter. Rim will have to produce or fold in the near future.
Ernie
Power line noise suppression tech was apparently used to modify, enhance etc. our tech in some way. At one time I remember a statement from management about our patents, stating something to the affect that a large part of our tech was licensed from Adaptive.
At this point I don't care what exact steps were taken when. If we have the goods now and we were in the process of developing it for a long time the step by step is immaterial.

Just to emphasize the losing battle. Re-enforcements have arrived for the bashers.
Apparently he thinks none of us have noticed or discussed the OS.
Ernie
I saw a reference yesterday to Rim "winning the lotto" as to the "Embarg" trademark. The inference seamed to be that Rim being a scam with no product won the lotto. While the trademark situation was most likely helpful in getting an audience with Embarg Corporation that issue certainly didn't produce a viable product out of thin air.
Naysayers seam to be getting desperate.
Ernie
Gary I would correct one thing about Beachbreaks statement (the rest is his opinion), but the salaries did not start until Cooper was hired and that hasn't been 10 years ago. Ten years ago Ray was working out of his house to keep the company alive.
Ernie
I do not think everyone is a liar, stupid, or a scammer so I put a lot of credence to the below statements. I believe the proof that there is a tech is undeniable. Now, proof that it will be a commercial success especially considering the OS is a bit more of a concern.
The chances that companies will lie for Rim are near zero. Rim just doesn't have the money to get people and companies to associate themselves with a scam.

Sam I do have a problem with Goldy's overpaid under worked statements. Statements like these imply that he has all the facts to make such a statement. He believes this is not his opinion but fact. I say it may be, although he has no real fact as to how many hours are worked. If Rim successfully launches a possible billion dollar (or billions of dollars)marketing campaign, was the few years of effort (and patience) worth it? Was the wait necessary? Was Brad's experience and contacts worth it. In my opinion the naysayers have begun the after game show in the third quarter. Some began it during the warm up.
Ernie
It actually pleases me as I try to free up some more cash.
Ernie
I appreciate your defense, however, I don't read Excel the first time, because I don't care what he has to say. After you've heard a few hundred times it just doesn't matter anymore.
Ernie
I disagree, the purpose of the Presidents letter is to inform shareholders and others of where Rim is at. It gives us a chance to see into the thinking of our management. If it was newsworthy it would be released in a press release. It's kind of a fireside chat scenario.
I hope those who criticize it do not push Brad to pull the plug on it because I, and I am sure others appreciate the letters.
Ernie
I thought it was very informative. It was interesting that copper is still very dominate and little penetration has been made by alternatives. It makes me feel better about the longevity of our techs potential.

Dear Fellow Shareholder,
A lot is made in the US media these days about the role that fiber optics will play in the home of the future. We at Rim Semi also believe that long term – make that very long term – the media might be right. But during our lifetimes, the only thing that really matters is copper.
Let me share some facts with you that come from a great source. The US’s own FCC. The three large Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILEC’s) have to report to the FCC their numbers every single year. No fudging allowed. No spin control. This is the real stuff, and the actual numbers look very different from what you – and Wall Street - might read in the press.
Out of every 100 subscribers in the US, how many do you think are served by fiber optics? Let’s make it even easier. Let’s include buildings in the downtown core, because they are more likely to be fed by fiber. Would you guess 30 out of 100? 10 out of 100? 5 out of 100?
The answer is one.
Fiber has been about 1% of the loops for a long time. I know what you’re thinking. “Surely, with all of the hoopla, this is changing, right?”
Wrong. Here is what the FCC says about it:
So all of the way back in 1997, 0.77% of the loop plant was fiber. Today, after the billions of dollars spent, 1.31% is fiber. You know, both of those numbers round to 1%!
Too surprising to believe? California is renowned as the hotbed of technology. It’s the most advanced place in the world for the formation of broadband-based companies like Yahoo and Google. These companies rely upon broadband connections for their multi-billion dollar business plans to be successful. So how is California doing with the “fiber revolution”? Again, the FCC: http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/eafs7/paper/43-07/PaperReport07.cfm
53,000 out of 27.3 million is not just 1%, it is one-fifth of that, or 0.2%! This is even worse than the national average.
Now the media is not solely fixated on fiber. People always ask me if wireless is going to be big. When you search through the FCC database, wireless is so small, they don’t even keep statistics.
So to sum it up, after ten years of investment, the score is Copper 99, Fiber 1, and Wireless 0. It certainly makes one wonder if copper will ever be anything other than the winner by a landslide.
I believe that Rim Semiconductor is very well positioned to take advantage of the startling data that you just read. Our technology is intended to take the massive copper installed base and make it perform better than it ever has before. That is why we think that our market opportunity is huge, and further that it isn’t going away in our lifetimes.
Our customers understand this well enough. We have recently told you about two multi-year supply agreements with customers that are each valued in the millions of dollars. I invite you to review the rest of this website for more details on our technology, and to contact me with your comments or for further clarification.
Sincerely,
Brad Ketch

I'm sorry you feel that way. You did notice the O.T.? didn't you. Posters talk about sports, illnesses, accomplishments etc all the time. I am so overjoyed to have gone from contemplating losing our daughter to finding the problem and removing it completely, that I can't not talk about it. What the doctor did was not normal procedure. The write up on her condition said that most of these rare tumors are found in autopsies.
I will tell everyone I can where ever and whenever I have the opportunity. How the reader deals with it is their concern.
Ernie
OT; We just had a blessing I need to share. Our now 24 yr old daughter, Kelli has had constant health issues for almost 4 years symptoms have led doctors to conclude it was stress related IBS. The last specialist after extensive tests told her to go home and deal with it. She went back to her O.B. who thought he felt a cyst on her ovary. He did an ultrasound to confirm it and said while he was in there he felt he should remove her appendix even though it presented as healthy.
We just received word she had a carcinoid tumor on her appendix.
This explains all her symptoms. If he hadn't taken the appendix now she would have at minimum lost her colon to the next round.

Praise the Lord,Ernie
Cos, the sp is being propped up. By people buying stock.
Ernie
Buy_Low, the reason I can put many here on ignore is because I got the message. Rim management are liars especially Ray. There never was or will be a viable tech. Anyone who says there is, is either a liar (i.e. part of the scam), or too stupid to know a viable tech from a scam even if they actually saw, examined the tech and reports on the tech as opposed to our posters.
Anyone who continues to invest or believe anything good about this company and tech are part of the scam, because it could not possibly be true that anybody actually believes there is a viable tech.
If by chance they actually market a tech, either the buyers are part of the scam or the are buying worthless tech and they are not actually surfing the web faster, or watching tv over it, or talking "on the phone" over it. Otherwise if it is somehow proven that the tech really does work as advertised, then Rim management didn't actually succeed in developing it. They must have scammed somebody out of it. Also they didn't that do as efficiently as they should have and no matter how many hundreds of millions, or billions in revenue the company obtains their salaries to do this were too much.
Once you understand this you don't need to read anymore because the subject has been exhausted.
Ernie
Elderwolf's departure message brought up some thoughts I'd like to share. Those of us who choose to exercise the ignore feature have been criticized. Many choose to ignore SI or Raging Bull. I choose to ignore redundant predictable posters, because my time is better spent elsewhere. I do want to see some of the industry news that some post and some other ideas even negative ones that some posters post. I just want to feel that it is somewhat objective and current.
Ernie
The market is reacting stronger than I expected. Strong close yesterday, and strong opening this am.
Ernie
As usual we will hear how this means nothing. I agree to a point, since it doesn't name companies or obligate anyone to anything specific. However, it's just another indicator of progress toward our goal. I don't expect anything out of the sp, but I appreciate the information.
Keep on trucking Rim! Ernie
Bigalan, your right about what you say. I know former posters that still hold stock, but don't post anymore. Some of them at least sometimes read the board.
It's too bad that if you hold the stock and believe the company may actually have the goods you are labeled by some here as a puppet of management, or worse. It's one of the main things that helps me to discount what the naysayers have to say. Since they have called me a puppet , and paid pumper etc. I know much of what they say about the company is probably a lie too.
I have been a long time supporter of the company because I believe they have the goods and they are trying their best to bring it to market. That doesn't mean I think everything they do is right, however, I believe, in the end I will be rewarded with gains on my investment. I have never been told what to say on the boards and have never been paid by anyone to say anything. I don't have any shares I haven't paid for.
I hope all that have stayed the course will be rewarded, Ernie
Buy_Low, I can't get past the appearance that if , as claimed, Goldy is a campaigner against scams, that this is the only scam he has found. (he and his team of analysts). If he is campaigning against any other scams then he is posting under other aliases.
I also wonder if he has his team of analysts in his boat in Canada while stealing wifi signal from the resort.
Another poster asked the other day about what happened with Asiakey. I ask do we know that they didn't have something to do with introductions to "1021 Ind" and/or Logic Research, or how many other companies that may be evaluating the tech?
A marketing company makes it's living off representing legit product. I don't think they would jeopardize their reputation without some scrutiny.
I have to go to work, Ernie
From this opinion if Rim were to win the AT&T contract cited 5 million chips at $25 is 125 million dollars revenue. with 400 million shares outstanding that alone would not be the windfall some are looking for, however, I don't think it would stop there if we were able to sign any such gorilla.
Look at the percentages cited in todays PR. AT&T represents only less than 25% of the US market which is approx. 17% of the current worldwide DSL connections. This number is expected to at least double with widespread deployment of effective Triple Play services.
So, if AT&T represents 125 million with 30% penetration and is approx. 5% of the market then 30% worldwide penetration would represent 2.5 billion with some sources expecting the broadband market to at least double or triple in the next few years.
I could try to predict sp with these figures, but I have already given our naysayers too much ammunition to blast me with. Oh well, LOL
I'm doing this in my head just after waking up and have already had to make changes, so I invite corrections.
Ernie
Interesting and well presented Austin
So, what do Goldy and associates do when this is proven beyond doubt to be legit? Many of us think it's pretty well proven, but when you have been insisting you are 100% right and all of a sudden you are without argument 100% proven wrong it will be interesting. However, since many of these are only aliases they will probably just fade away.
That's the first time I have seen Embarq referred to in terms of signing on.
Ernie
Pretty good action for a Thursday. I'm sorry to see the upward movement. I picked up a little on the dip, but I was hoping to free up so more cash for more.
Ernie
If there is any brainwashing going on here it's from the naysayer's camp. Let's see almost no info coming from Da Boyz vs. daily multiple posts all day long, same message over and over.
Everyone else's opinion doesn't matter yours is 100% fact.
