President's Letter
June 8, 2007
Dear Fellow Shareholders,
We here at Rim Semiconductor Company are in an exciting time. We are now seeing positive results for all of our efforts. In the past few months we have dramatically sped up our engineering and marketing activities so that we can accelerate the launch of the much-anticipated Cupria™ family of transport processors. Our engineers and marketers are pressing forward because our current and our target customers are telling us that we have huge opportunities.
We do not see any impediments in front of us. Our technical goal over the last few months has been to release version 1.6 on a line card that will work in a telephone network. The line card that is pictured here carries the version 1.6 software and is for sale. We have received one purchase order for it, and during our current quarter we expect to receive more orders.
This is just one example of one line card. As more customers use Cupria™, more line cards will be created by them. Eventually, and when Cupria™ is as successful as we believe that it will be, many different types of line cards will be in existence. Each version will fit in a different chassis or have a different size and even purpose. We are confident that the array of choices will be very large because that will mean that Cupria™ is delivering value to many different market segments.
These cards will be created by our customers, not by us. The Cupria™ chip that sits on one of our customers’ line cards will function exactly like the chip that sits on another of our customers’ line cards. So one product will have many different uses, and each use comes from customization and innovation that our customers bring.
We want to make it easy for our customers to build their line cards quickly and accurately so that they can get them into the hands of their customers, the telephone companies. Based on guidance from the telcos and the equipment manufacturers, we are creating designs that they can refer to. We are writing user manuals, ordering guides, development software and other forms of documentation. Each of these items can be done in parallel with our other hardware and software efforts.
We are simultaneously developing the FPGA version of Cupria™, the ASSP version of Cupria™ and all of the pre- and post- sales support documentation and software. We have hired several new highly qualified engineers, and as you will see from our website, still have several positions open.
Our technology is being validated by our customers, and the first purchase order has come in. So we here at Rim Semiconductor Company are at an exciting time. In the coming weeks we plan to tell you more about all of the positive results for our aggressive efforts.
Sincerely,
Brad Ketch
President and CEO
Rim Semiconductor Company

Press Release
IPSL Special Interest Group™ Names Executive Director
SUNNYVALE, CA: April 24, 2007: The IPSL Special Interest Group™ (IPSL SIG™) has named Bill Narin as it’s Executive Director. Mr. Narin was formerly vice president of business development at Virata where he created a successful licensing and intellectual property strategy for this digital subscriber line (DSL) pioneer and market leader. More recently Mr. Narin has started up two software development and services companies.
IPSL™ is an open standard that enables the delivery of demanding new video, voice and data services with higher quality of experience, at greater distances, at higher speeds, and at lower costs than can be achieved with DSL alternatives. IPSL™ is interoperable with existing protocols and network equipment. Carriers can deploy the technology on a subscriber by subscriber basis. IPSL™ was originally developed by Rim Semiconductor.
"It’s exciting to see the IPSL SIG™ being organized based on standards industry best practices," said Karl Best, Director of Strategic Consulting at Kavi Corp. and a consultant to the IPSL SIG. "The vision of the founders and new Executive Director in creating an open and well-run organization will go far to promote the adoption of IPSL™ more quickly and broadly than if IPSL™ had remained a proprietary technology."
"Having been instrumental at Virata in first introducing DSL technologies to the market, I know how much impact a compelling technology innovation can have on a telephone company’s business and on the industry in general, " stated Mr. Narin. "IPSL™ is destined to become the next wave of DSL implementation, and I am glad to have the opportunity to play a leading role once again. "
Mr. Narin holds an MS in Management of Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA from Dartmouth College.

wheels, Perhaps he suffers from the same syndrome that the EX-shareholder suffers from.............
Just a thought.
deeba
GaryInPB, Don't hold your breath on that one. The EX-shareholder would never venture that far from home, especially to ask "his tuff questions".
deeba
mahinui, Using the term "babble" is putting it very politely.

abe, Excellent quote today. You have hit the nail squarely on the head, as doughjo, Mcloud have been trying to point out.
The BS on this board is incredibly deep, you can't wear boots high enough..................

Groovy, Nice find dude.
Appears to be all sorts of things like this going on, all around the world.
And just think, the world's largest independent chipmaker, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, will be making our chips.
Isn't that interesting.
To quote Brad:
“When a broadband chip becomes widely accepted, demand can easily outstrip the ability of a small foundry to supply product,” stated Brad Ketch, CEO of Rim Semiconductor Company. “By engaging with TSMC, we believe that we have set in place the ability to effectively support volume growth.”
I like that.

Abe, You have had alot of good quotes, but this one might be your best.
Thanks
deeba
wheels, No problem, and certainly no offense taken.
deeba
wheels, If Rim had any doubts that the Embarq technology would not pass the Telcordia testing, Telcordia would never have gotten the Embarq technology to do the testing in the first place.
Is that any better? I do not have a way with words like you do.
deeba
wheels, A comment to your other thought.
Telcordia would never have seen the Embarq technology to run it thru their testing, if Rim wasn't absolutely sure that the tech worked, as they knew it would.
deeba
Just for the record. The low for the day is recorded as .11 for the day at 3:06:24. That is bogus. At the time of that trade the BID and ASK were both at .121 according to my records.
deeba
OT: Ernie please tell Gary and Nona that deeba and Tammy say HI and long time no see.
deeba
Billy Boy, Just for the record, left it.
deeba
Billy Boy, Follow this very carefully. Do you understand and can you read English?
deeba
austin, Thanks
deeba
427, Thank you for giving everyone an insight as to how you have based some of your comments, and your thoughts that you have expressed concerning Rim, Embarq and everything else involved with your investment.
You make WAY TOO MUCH SENSE.
deeba
austin, Very curious, did you buy at .162 or .163?
deeba
dawg, Nice PR this morning. I guess the no chip theory has been debunked.
"Using accurate models of transmission systems and the copper telephone loop plant, Telcordia tested Rim Semiconductor's Embarq chips against VDSL2 profile 12a products that are being used by telecommunications carriers for new triple play services deployments."
deeba
powerboy, You know that is exactly what I have been thinking for a long time now.
Why in the world would anyone waste so much of his apparent valuable time posting the same stuff over and over and over........................again and again and again.
deeba
Abe, Another good quote from your seemingly endless supply.
Please keep up the good work. You are one inspiring and very insightful individual.
Thanks,
deeba
Wow!!!!! There was quite a bit of comedy on the board since I last visited, better than the Comedy Channel by far.
Does anyone know how much a Premium Membership costs here at IHUB?
TIA
deeba
doughjo, I like your quote, cool.
deeba
Ol Henry, Someone interested in the technology contracted Telcordia. From the PR:
"Telcordia conducted an independent third-party contracted study comparing Rim Semi's Embarq DSL solution to the performance of VDSL2."
Seems pretty clear cut to me.
deeba
powerboy, It looks like a "voice of reason and logic" from the past has returned to this rag. Hopefully it will not be a complete waste of your time.
I always appreciate reading what you have to say.
Welcome back.
deeba
Maybe they were not "sells". I know of someone just last week BUYING at the BID.
deeba
427, Cool! Nice picture of you and your wife.
deeba
wheels, You sure do have a way with words!!!!!
Very good post.
Thanks for bringing something worthwhile to this board.
deeba
427, That is "cool" to see your daughter on film. I certainly know what humidity is like, so I can relate to what they are going thru.

President's Letter
Tuesday, July 11, 2006
Fellow Rim Semiconductor Company Investor,
We filed several documents today with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). I am writing to tell you about them.
In March we closed a six million dollar investment in the company. The investors received, among other considerations, the right to have the shares of common stock underlying their convertible debt and warrants registered for resale. The registration statement form that we use is an SB-2. We first filed the SB-2 on April 24, 2006. In May we received some comments from the SEC about the information in the SB-2. Today we filed an amendment to the SB-2 and responded to the SEC’s comments. One of the comments concerned our accounting for the warrants issued in connection with our 2005 and 2006 convertible debenture transactions and an accounting policy known as “EITF Issue No. 00-19.”
What is EITF Issue No. 00-19? It is issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF). For more information on the EITF, please refer to http://www.fasb.org/eitf/about_eitf.shtml. EITF Issue No. 00-19 is entitled, "Accounting for Derivative Financial Instruments Indexed to, and Potentially Settled in, a Company's Own Stock."
We have had four conference calls with the SEC Staff, and have exchanged multiple rounds of correspondence with them in an attempt to get clarity from the SEC of their interpretation of EITF Issue No. 00-19. On July 6, our Board of Directors, after consultations by the Audit Committee with the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm, concluded that the classification of warrants issued in connection with our 2005 and 2006 convertible debentures was not in accordance with the SEC’s interpretations. As a result, we have changed our accounting for the warrants. This change has been reflected in and explained in the SB-2/A which we filed today.
This change in our accounting treatment for the warrants applies to both our future financial reporting and several of our reports for prior periods. Accordingly, we filed today restatements of three quarterly reports (July 2005, and January and April 2006) and our annual report for the year ended October 31, 2005. Please do not rely upon our previously filed reports.
It is important for you to realize that the resulting changes in our financial reports are non-cash changes and do not affect the underlying cash health of Rim Semiconductor Company in any way.
Many other companies in the US have similarly been forced to restate their financials in response to recent guidance from the SEC concerning EITF Issue No. 00-19. A quick search of the term “EITF 00-19” on the Internet will show you some examples of how other companies have been impacted. Please feel free to contact us with your comments or for further clarification.
Sincerely,
Brad Ketch

louis, Would you please provide the link to this SEC document that you claim Brad & Ray filed with the INTENT to sell millions of shares. I do see where HelloSoft has filed such a document, but nothing for any of the Directors or members of the BOD.
Do you just make this stuff up?????

Ditto wheels,
deeba is long, upbeat and wantin' to be a part of the new board.
