New Labour Forecasting App!
Just wondering what you think of the new labour forecasting application. And if its showing proper hours for coverage.
Mine showed 4 hours for Tuesday when my studio is suppose to be closed and than 7 hours for Wednesday and Thursday when we are only open 10 to 3. Guessing we could stay till 6 if it was needed.
Also any of the studios who are closed on Tuesday still seeing numbers on the daily sales reports. How do u expect me to make my week when there's extra money put it for days when no one is there.. Frustrating

Internet was down all afternoon, I got mine to come back for a second than went to email and it come up with an error.
Well Studio hours are being cut starting next week. We are going from 47 down to 36 hours open. Closed every Tuesday and Wednesday/ Thursdays 10 to 3. I don't know how I feel about closing from 2 to 3 for lunch than coming back to see if someone is there. Would rather work right through than just close at 3. I'm glad I only have 1 staff member. Feel bad for the people who have 3 or 4 people with the hour cuts. Guarantee the goals will stay the same, and still expected to get everything done on time. Shipments, call lists etc
Is this happening to anyone else and how do you feel about it.
Just getting my sears to Standards, and new editing program, things to get use too.
Had a visit from my new Dm today, apparently studio was not up to pros, not sure how that is when nothing has changed in 5 years.
I don't understand how one person tells you something and someone else another, you would think each district was the same, and each Dm teaching the same things but no

Sears got new editing program, portrait suite 5.5. Same as Walmart now, seems pretty cool but will take getting use too.
And saw a email today about on location photography.
Maybe we are going to see some changes, seems fishy about delivery schedule not being updated.
I agree with you! I don't know what to do myself, wish there was more information.

Do we know anything about Photos Unlimited. Would like to know if company is going to be similar to what we do now or what types of changes, before I sign it.

Would love to know the MOP customers who are buying. I haven't seen a real increase though.
Ill be surprised to see these letters. Id say my studio is probably average we do about 10 to 20 sits a week if lucky. Lot of them are regulars who just get there free stuff. Been in the Red for a while as well.
We have 2 walmarts and One sears as well. Sears gets the sessions and Walmart gets most if the passports. Definitely need to see some changes and marketing if this "new" company wants to stay a float.

My sears store is one of the few staying open, There is only 2 sears, and rest walmart's in my new District.
I asked my DM today if she heard anything. She responded with No this is all still new to us, we are out of receiver ship and as soon as she hears anything will let us know. You would think that they would have an idea of what is going on. Hoping for some new marketing and some changes.
Question, Do you managers work every weekend. My DM said she would check the sales and see what weekends she wanted us manager there. I am not too happy about this, as i had an agreement with my old DM that I would work Every other weekend.
I am a sears studio, went from 80 plus hours last year down to 68 hours yet my studio was suppose to be open 66 hours. single coverage i got slammed by myself many times cause of the online bookings. They opened it up for the day of every half hour when I was there by myself, no breaks 10 hour days and all freebies from the email offer. I don't get the point of making us want to be profitable but than dropping that offer no one was buying. My sales sucked because I didnt have time with clients and no ones photos got enhanced etc. my shipments sat there for days at a time because I couldn't call clients or sort the photos. I'm sure most studios were like this over the holidays and I feel everyone's pain it was very stressful for myself. Glad the holidays are almost over!
Clients were even curious as to why I didnt have any help. I am surprised not many people complained though.
I have recently came to the conclusion that something is up with the company last I heard was we were in process of being bought but nothing since. Does anyone have any word on what's going on? I am to believe that we are going under and they don't want to tell us that.
I am a new Manager, been with the company for 5 plus years and just got promoted in the summer. Pretty much been running the studio by myself, and than i get in shit for using too many hours. What do they expect its Christmas Time. Everyone wants family portraits done.
Not sure how they expect us to run with one staff member on, and when studio is suppose to be open 66 hours and cut staffing to 70 hours from 180 or more hours used last year. I have a whole new team, they aren't able to do session after session alone. Like us veterans. Plus just leave early if its quiet, what if people want to pick up photos, and you don't have a set schedule.
Wish they would tell us whats going on. All Ive heard is company is in the process of being bought. Thats been said quite a few times.
In my eyes they are just trying to make it look good. Yet Im sure they will be lots of complaints and end up loosing money in the end because some people wont have the patience to wait for you to do the sale.
