Hello MDNT!! Looks like we are poised to make a run out of the trips..,,let's get the M-Train back above pre-suspension levels .0013. Medient Studios will become a reality in south GA, so don't let these trip prices pass you buy. Heck, if you bought at .0003 you just doubled your money. The same will be said at .0007 to .0014...MDNT has weathered Hurricane Manu and is back on track with new studio plans, Yellow to be released, SEC Filings on time, a new movie in production and much more!!!
Have a great day everyone!!
Heck yeah! Added more, I've almost lost track of how much I have......Started a new job about 6 weeks ago so I've been a bit preoccupied. MDNT is going to bounce back! ...It may take a little while, but I think the pieces are coming together slowly, but surely. Remember, I'm not selling until someone goes to jail or there's a dang ticker tape parade. I'm really hoping for both. Manu needs to go to jail for all his shananagans and lets pull for the new studio plans being approved, financing being secured, construction starting, The law suit being settled, YELLOW being released and Production starting on the new horror movie in Savsnnah!! Just a couple things to look forward to!!!! GO MEDIENT STUDIOS!!!!
Have a GREAT DAY everyone!!!!
Hello all! Let's get MDNT rolling again....not dead yet!!
This ruling appears to be great news for MDNT investors. At least we still have a punchers chance right?!....Am I correct in saying, we are now back to trying to get this damn studio built, Yellow released, the Damned produced and, by some divine intervention, up listed back to the OTC pinks....that's painful to even write.."up listed to the OTC pinks".....Maybe MANU would like a nice one way ticket to Tel Aviv today, or maybe take a permanent vacation right into the Gaza Strip or catch a quick flight out of Amsterdam on one of those really nice Malaysian Airline's planes(too soon?)....dirt bag. Go Koppelman!!
Good morning MDNT! Looks like some positive news coming out of the meeting last night and perhaps a glimmer of hope and some renewed interest. Let's hope for a good result with the judge next week...Holding and Hoping!!! GO KOPPELMAN!!!!! Don't underestimate his experience with breathing life into near dead company's like this one and with his connections in the industry. If he lands a high profile player/director/producer to partner with we are back in the game!! Holding and Hoping, Waiting and Watching!! My new Mantra!! GO MDNT!!
Is MDNT resuming trading tomorrow or is that still undetermined?
GREAT NEWS! Not over yet.....hold onto your shares and see how this plays out. I think we will all be pleasantly surprised by what unfolds with MDNT. All is not lost....Charles in Charge now!
Effingham County entertainment company Medient Studios is working to get its stock in acceptable shape as a temporary suspension by the Securities and Exchange Commission is due to be lifted later this week, according to its investor relations firm.
Natalya Rudman of Crescendo Communications said Monday the company’s legal team and investment bank Merriman Capital are working to relist the stock, which is not traded on an exchange but through an over-the-counter broker-dealer network. Such networks work on a quotation system that does not have to meet minimum financial standards.
Without elaborating, Rudman said the company still plans to remain in business and continue with its plans.
The Securities and Exchange Commission temporarily suspended trading of Medient, ticker symbol MDNT, on June 25 because of questions surrounding the accuracy of the company’s public disclosures.
Before soliciting or resuming quotations, the company must provide information to satisfy broker-dealers and FINRA, the non-governmental organization that regulates the brokerage industry.
Yet trading does not automatically resume at the end of a 10-day
suspension for over-the-counter stock. A broker-dealer has to review and maintain “specific information about the company,” including its outstanding shares, certain names of control affiliates and the company’s most recent balance sheet.
According to the SEC’s website: “If a broker-dealer does not have confidence that a company’s financial statements are reasonably current and accurate in all material respects, especially in light of the questions that may have been raised by the SEC suspension, then a broker-dealer may not publish a quote for the company’s stock.”
The SEC tells investors to contact the broker who sold them the stock to ask whether they intend to resume publishing a quote.
Medient launched an abrupt restructuring in early June after ousting its founder and former CEO Manu Kumaran, bringing public attention to the company’s financial health amid massive stock dilution. As of June 25, the stock was trading below .0015 with roughly 2.3 billion outstanding shares.
Problems with the company’s stock were apparent much earlier, however, and reflect the lure of high-risk penny stocks. According to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution piece published in May 2013, a Medient shareholder paid a research firm to release an email touting the company’s plan to streamline the movie-making process and boost profits using state tax incentives, causing the stock’s share price to climb 80 cents.
Such tactics are consistent with so-called pump-and-dump schemes that involve the promotion of a company’s stock through false and misleading statements to investors, usually through the Internet. Once the stock price has been inflated, the perpetrators of the scheme dump their shares into the market causing the price to plummet and investors to lose their money.
On Monday, the Wall Street Journal published an article on recent sting operations by the FBI targeting small penny stock companies amid a surge of fraudulent activity. The paper said trading data showed investors are buying these volatile stocks at record pace despite the risk.
Although uncertainty remains, Medient’s current board and new CEO Jake Shapiro have pledged to move forward with a scaled-down version of a proposed multi-million dollar studioplex on land owned by the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority.
Meanwhile, ex-CEO Kumaran has filed a lawsuit seeking to dissolve the company and on Friday filed a temporary restraining order in addition to an order asking why a preliminary injunction and appointment of receiver should not be issued. The court has not ruled on the request for a restraining order, and no date for the motion has been set.
Good points Sugarfreejazz! It ain't over until Manu's sister sings....and i haven't heard her sing yet, have you.....
PS.....for the slower folks, she's the fat lady.
"When in your mind all is lost, even the smallest gain is a great victory!" i just made that up.....Hang in there everybody, this story is far from over!!!
Remember the good ole days and all the sayings we had:
No Stop'n the M-Train
East Coast Hollywood in the House
....and the road to DOLLARLAND continues, screw Penny Land
DOLLAR LAND or BUST
I ain't selling until someone goes to jail or there's a ticker tape parade.....haha, oh well.
Hoping for a E'Fingham Miracle!!!!!
You make some very good points Ania77....so the Grey Market does offer us some advantages? Haha...kind of a joke, but probably true in MDNT's case, all things considered: No more dilution, no more MM funny business, Shorts need to cover, no threat of R/S....clearly this is not what any of us wanted or how any of us expected this to turn out, but do we still have a chane to recover? I'm not even talking about making a bunch of money, I'm talking about recovering our now paper losses. And for many of us the price really does have to rise to much more than .005 or .006. I know at this point, it's seems more plausible that I could swim from Savannah to The Bahamas, before that happens, but here me out.
For a moment, let's say bankruptcy is off the table. It's possible of course, but I just don't think with all the players involved that's going to happen. Medient is not drowning in debt, has two movies ready to bring in significant revenues in the near term and Koppleman and Patterson have some deep pockets and connections to moe deep pockets. These are big IF's, but let's say Koppleman and Company put out a PR committing to forge ahead with the studio and with the release of Yellow and the Battle of Banaras. Those two movies should are ALREADY scheduled to be released in the next 45 and 60 days and SHOULD bring in enough money certainly to meet operating expenses, pay off remaining debt and keep this thing rolling right? I know there is litigation pending and that might put a crimp in things, but I'm optimistic that will be sorted out one way or another in our favor. In order to move forward with Phase One there needs to be financing secured, I want to believe Koppleman and Company can some how make that happen. Maybe bring in another investor, partner with a company, etc..etc...Is that too far fetched? I don't think it is with his clout and connections. So with a positive PR in the next week or so, a better management team in place, two movies being release in 45-60 days bringing in a bunch of money, construction financing secured for Phase One, construction starting, The IDA's backing, no more dilution, no MM funny business, shorters covering no threat of a R/S...with these things occurring can the PPS beging to rise from the ashes? Could MDNT be one of the very few company's that turns things around and actually makes it back from this crappyposition?....I don't know about you, but I think we still have a chance!
About a year ago, to the month, I read a little article in the Atlanta Journal & Constitution about a small company with big dreams and grand plans to build the largest studio in North America down in South GA. Today, fast forward one year, Medient Studios now appears on the coveted front page of the Business section, but the tone of the article is very different. Hopes, dreams, job creation, tax credits and growth are replaced with SEC suspension, possible fraud and excessive dilution, unfulfilled promises and a whole lot of uncertainty about future plans. Wow, what a year it has been. Are there a lot of eyes on this bad boy? You betcha....Fitting that Charles Koppleman is also involved with Six Flags Corp, because what a roller coaster ride this has been. Will he step up and help make MDNT his greatest comeback success story to date? Will both Manu and Jake spend time in the same jail as cell mates? Who do you think claims the top bunk?
The term "stinky pinky" exists for a reason, right? Many have seen this train wreck play out and not end well on many, many occasions I am sure. You have even lost money before probably. Conventional wisdom tells you the Grey Market is investment hospice where terminally ill company's go to die. I know. MDNT is on life support and it looks awfully bad right now, but until I see and hear the flat line, I for one will remain hopeful and optimistic. Is this the kind of situation now, like a capital murder jury taking days an even weeks to come back with a verdict, that the longer we hear nothing the better it actually might be for us shareholders. Could the length of time equate to the strength and viability of the game plan? Is Koppleman and the Board putting together the necessary pieces and taking the right corrective steps to save MDNT? That's a possibility right? As long as that's a possibility, that's what I will chose to focus on...I was naive and perhaps even greedy, but today I will remain hopeful and positive. Until Manu's sister, aka The Fat Lady, sings I'm holding and hanging in there.
I will say this, many of you have surprised me, in a good way. You have lent support and knowledge and real information in the wake of this mess. Ms BB, Traderfan, DrugDoctor and many others, I know you're not happy we've potentially lost a lot of money here and in a sick way actually routing for that to happen. I wish everyone all the best and especially for the Board to take positive action to make this right....and if they don't, well, this has been one heck of and expensive Penny Stock Trading Course....whew.
Like I said, I'm holding until someone goes to jail or Effingham County throws Medient a damn ticker tape parade. This is getting better and better by the week.....
Okay, so, if Jake is the master mind dilution scum bag you think he is, how are we better off now? And what is or can Koppleman do about it? He's not a penny stock scamming fraudulent scumbag too is he? He needs to step up. You don't think he's completely blind and ignorant to what's been going on here do you?
This lawsuit is not a surprise. It should have been expected by everyone on this board. You think Manu was just going to scamper away with his tail between his legs back to freak'n Bombay to never be heard from again; Maybe wind up working for some HP inbound customer support call center? Whether or not there is any basis to his lawsuit will just have to be seen. But, anyone can sue anybody else for anything nowadays....might get thrown out quickly or maybe not. Don't know. Talk about boosting shareholder confidence, not quite the beginning of the "new regime" I was hoping for.
What PR should we be expecting or hoping for tomorrow? Obviously dilution has not stopped. What we need is another shareholder conference call with Charles Koppleman speaking letting us know what he intends to do to get Medient back on track....this is beyond comical now. I have hope, but man, the money I've invested here can barely buy nice dishwasher probably. Geez, what a cluster, you know what. I feel bad for everyone who's loosing money or has lost money here. I know it all a risk, but damn this sucks the big one right now.
Can this be turned around? That's my main question....very frustrating.
Jail, Ticker Tape Parade or Bust....Yeah Medient!(insert sarcasm here)
Terrific post Carter.....In case you missed it, this is a must read!
I really like MDNT's chances of running back over a penny and beyond now, much more so than I did before Manu was fired for mismanagement, gross dilution and overall ineptness. With dilution slowing, Charles Kopplemans leadership, construction financing being secured soon for a more simplified and efficient StudioPlex and Yellow's and The Battle of Banaras near term release with real prospects of bringing Medient $30, $40, $50 Million dollars plus in 2014. yes things are looking up for MDNT. Most of us probably only need a run back to .007, .008 or .01 to break even or make some very good money right? In my opinion, that is very doable. Our money is not lost, not even close now.
Charles Koppleman was only on the board for a few months when he saw how badly Manu was floundering and how far in over his head he really was. He acted swiftly and decisively by making the right maneuvers to have him removed. He was looking out for all of us and he will continue to do so in my opinion. He is an experienced CEO and Chairman of the Board. He knows what he is doing and, even more importantly, how to get things done....Onward and upward from here....I feel a heck of a lot better about things now that he is calling the shots!
Yea, I'm holding and am going to see how this one plays out!!
Good luck to all my MDNT friends.....I hanging until someone goes to jail or Effingham County throws Medient a dang ticker tape parade!
Wha a great post! Well said my friend...onward and upward from here and you're right, MDNT IS A GREAT BUY!!
I totally agree....the 2nd half of 2014 is going to rock for MDNT and its Shareholders!!
You're right...you want real evidence that the new management team has put an end to this crazy ass dilution? We ended up over 12% on a freaky Friday with news. Gone are the days of heavy dilution into news. Things are looking good for an MDNT run back to PennyLand!
Holy crap....are we going to close green, with news on a Friday!! This has to signify something's up, right? Come on some of you brainiacs, what's up?! Looks like MDNT's about read to bust a move up on out a here! That's my technical analysis!
Nice to see you back Shaka Zulu!
With the dilution fire hose turned wwwaaaaayyyyy down, this is going to run like it should have run months ago in my opinion.
Holding tighter than Courtney Love clutches that crack pipe when she's down to her last rock and her dealers not answering. Real tight!
Good to have you on site there bansheeninja....thanks.
I believe you did Ms. BB....nice job!
We might be down right now, but this 2nd half of the year for Medient is going to rock!!!
Looks to me like the new management team has accomplished more in one week than Manu did in 6 months....onward and upward!!
Quick, someone notify the village, we have found their idiot on the ASK....haha!
Hahaha! YOU got it my friend!! GO MDNT!!!
HIGHER LOWS AND HIGHER HIGHS AS WE CHARGE NORTH!!!!!
Series steps being taken to build the studio now, architects being interviewed and new plans being drawn, county's approval and vote of confidence, bills being paid to vendors, dilution appears to be slowing dramatically and The M-Train is back on track with Charles Koppleman getting things done!!!!!!
We'z gonna run boys and girls!
Gotcha...okay. Looks like real progress to me...did you expect an announcement that it was built over the weekend?
how is this BS news? And I'm a fan of the stock.

Man, this is really good news. I personally like our chances of making some serious money with MDNT so much better now. Perhaps all this dilution and Manu's incompetence will turn out to be quite a blessing in the end for all of us that hung in there, as it drove down the share price, allowed us all to accumulate many more shares then otherwise possible, and then we really, really prosper when it runs and recovers. This is going to make for one hell of a good story and for quite the happy ending I believe!
Thanks Antione! That's awesome.... I know you're heavily invested here and that time is a premium with the demands of running business as well, so I appreciate your attending the meeting and then reporting back to the group so promptly. Well done!
Sounds like the board is okay with the management and studio design changes and but for a brief delay to get management up to speed and to work through some minor details it's full steam ahead....does that sound about right?
Love it!
You have GOT to be kidding me. You're on board... Okay, everybody listen up, the truth has spoken.... We will definitely be at .02 by the end of July. Oh, sweet Jesus..... Don't get me wrong, I like what your're saying, but Really Truth, Really?
Oh shit DPS, don't let HeavenBound read this! Haha...if this happens I will fly to Frankfurt, buy you a keg of the finest beer you prefer and a years supply of filets and king crab legs and give you a giant bear hug. Deal!
What news are we expecting from the meeting tonight? What would be the positive news? New plans approved? Acceptance of changes made pending new zoning, permits or whatever else they need? The county's blessing on the new management changes? They can scale back to three dozen donuts, because Manu won't be there? What would be a good result from this meeting?
DPS if that happens, I will fly to Frankfurt, track you down and buy you the coldest, biggest beer of your choice! Followed by a giant bear hug!
If dilution is diminished or over and MDNT is free to trade on its own Merritt I agree. Dramatically oversold and sickeningly undervalued with strong accumulation at this level are all good signs for a run correct?
Until MDNT blasts off, I guess I've got to make money somehow! Thanks DPS!
