I agree, GracieAnn, and expect that Li will be moving forward very aggressively toward making a reality of the amorphous metals revolution.
His commitment to dive into this now encourages me to do the same.
It is very difficult when an exciting technology surfaces, and it is obvious that it will be implemented in a way that will become commonplace, to know where and when to invest in it.
Some of the personal sagas that you have, no doubt, read on this board have been valuable to me in curbing my early enthusiasm in a reasonable way.
The information in this little community in amazing!
I am very excited about what is happening, however, this is taken with a grain of salt.
Happy New Year Locke1.
Very interesting year ahead!
Intel is divesting itself of its VUZI investment. Who knows what AAPL will do?
If VUZI IP is desirable enough for AAPL then they may be interested in buying us out. I suspect that another large consumer electronics company will be more interested than AAPL.
The prospect of moving ahead without being acquired by another entity is much more desirable to me.
At some point the heat in this area will be so intense that it will be challenging for management not to be bought out, however.
Looking good.
Very exciting!
Well, some of us do need special help.
It seems that Li has taken us off the bumpy, slow little wagon that we have been riding for so long, and moved us to his faster, more efficient vehicle to arrive at profitability.
I like that,...
I hope that we all fit on the LQMT bus, and that the driver takes us all the way to the destination without kicking us off into the mud puddle in the road again. After all there are more seats on this thing.
Is this the bus that I saw coming in my dreams? Seems like I saw it from a different angle.
Hmmm...
I am still a LQMT unicorn.
I resemble that remark.
Nice! Thanks NJM and L1.
Nicely done.
Oh, posh.
BUY LOW (when we are all discouraged 'short term'). When G***** sold at the bottom...
SELL (a little 'but not all!') HIGH, when there is ridiculous enthusiasm 'and we all feel it')
As I have said before, I am very optimistic about LQMT long term.
Having Li at the helm with so much at stake is exactly what is necessary to make the aggressive push into profitability.
Is this Li's largest gamble?...
Probably so.
I tend to believe that he will pour his life energy to making the revolution to amorphous alloy fabrication a reality. This is an historic time of materials innovation. I believe Li will be an historical figure of note. He understands the potential!
I'm sorry for the dilution that has destroyed the early investors percentage share of LiquidMetal.
Obviously potential is still here.
We are just riding the short term waves, up and down, up and down.
I am more interested in the tide rising than the frustrating chop.
It has taken a long time to get here. We're not done.
Right on!
You worry me some times, Gorgol.
You may do okay, however, you were here when LQMT PPS was $0.07 and you were getting out, ...then getting in again.
The opportunity was there, but listening to the emotion of the time is hard to ignore, right?
Think about how you are doing this.
...and don't ignore the zombies.
It looks like the time has come for me buy a little MXWL again. I am optimistic about what is coming in this area.
LQMT "might be" successful in the long run.
That is why I am here.
We need to make our own decisions based on our convictions,
...that are based on information.
That was I. ...still is.
Oh, I can.
Paul Boris of GE on the VUZI BOD as of June this year. Not a surprising development and very encouraging, thank you.
Looks good to me. Interesting day ahead.
... and I do accept Watts.
Shall we?
Very interesting for me as well! Thanks, L1!
Thanks.
I agree that there is significant risk with a small company like this.
The risk reward is very attractive to me. You will make your own decision, I will make mine.
Buying a basket of companies is important if you believe that AR is going to take off.
VUZI is a pure play in AR and VR that I like. Working to make a company work is a risk.
You can bet that all of the major electronics companies are diving into this. There will be major shake outs in hardware and software surrounding the technologies.
You are right. Vuzix is small. Anything can happen, however, I like what they are doing.
I am not a trader here. I am a rather excited investor.
Yes, I am taking a risk!
Paul Travers recognized the need for hands free situational awareness long ago. I think that he saw the need for that same thing for business and the tremendous potential there, as well as the potential for the general public.
I was discouraged when the military arm of the business was eliminated. I did not see the larger picture at the time.
Large companies are just picking up on what is possible now. Competition in the marketplace and increasing efficiencies is what guarantees that AR will explode.
When?
NOW!
The market for AR and the technology and software also were not quite there. The systems now are more than useful, and soon will be indispensable in meeting the competition in the open market.
I remember watching an interview with Paul on Bloomberg. The anchorwoman seemed very skeptical of any possible need for AR. When asked by her why one might need such a thing, Paul seemed momentarily bewildered that someone could have trouble grasping the potential.
Amazing as it is, there is still resistance to a simple concept which has become a reality and will become commonplace very quickly. Business can not afford to delay the benefits of AR.
Software development is of tremendous importance now. The hardware will continue to become streamlined. There is no going back.
Yes, Vuzix will have a lot of competition, however, Paul "got it" before the big boys. Vuzix understands that AR implementation starts with the enterprise.
The general public will come later. But, not by much. Google glass is a perfect example of choosing the wrong market and misreading the chosen target market.
In the long run, when the form factor for the hardware becomes easy to incorporate in our daily lives, and the software is simple useful and attractive, AR systems will be the evolution of phones and computing platforms working within The Internet of Things.
Even if Vuzix is swallowed up, Paul Travers will be responsible for getting AR off the ground.
2016 is the year that the future of AR became clear to the people that matter in making the revolution.
Thanks Paul!
This is the VUZI board, guys.
I am looking forward to your reality, tm.
To Reality, ...and Beyond!
Hmmm... sounds like a good book.
Doesn't that seem to be the case?
As an old friend here once said, "your grandchildren may thank you".
Or, perhaps they will have some sage advice for their children based upon grandpa's experience with LQMT, "the company that would change the world".
... and it may.
That is a beautiful thing!
There are many more very large companies that will benefit from AR applications. Efficiencies demonstrated with the use of AR (like DHL's) will be watched closely, and I believe AR will be implemented quickly because of the "no brainer", obvious benefits offered there.
I love seeing Paul T. out there connecting personally with the big companies that will want to use our technologies. I know of one huge company that has not looked at AR for its warehouse
picking solutions and resupply of stock. I know that they will jump of it when the benefits are presented.
Management working diligently toward company success is one of the reasons I love VUZI.
Full steam ahead!
Commonplace implementation on BMG is very close for many small complex parts where the characteristics of amorphous alloy are extremely desirable.
LQMT is part of the painful process of making a practical reality of a long held dream.
Many of the people here are interested in quick short term financial gains. I have been interested in both. I'm done with my short term interests here.
The people on this board who have been with LQMT from near the beginning of the company are important to pay attention to. There is very valuable information there!
I agree, cost efficient applications of amorphous alloy parts will take off. Engel's machines are important here. LQMT's IP is important!
LQMT's frustrating history is difficult to stomach. There are far too many LQMT shares out there. When someone buys into a company early on the hope is that they bought a "percentage share" of the company. Dilution destroys that, and unfortunately is sometimes necessary to keep the company afloat.
Li's deal is a blessing and a curse.
The revolution in metals technology that we have seen from far off will have to be gigantic for us to do well long term with what we own now.
Do you believe that it will be significant enough to save our ship?
...I do.
That is a beautiful presentation.
Still, the general public does not have a clue as to what will become the norm. Paul's presentation lays it out there.
How more obvious does it have to be for one to see the path forward?
Paul T. and the Vuzix team working relentlessly to bring the vision to reality. I like Paul. I have been watching him work on this business for a long time.
I am excited, and proud of Vuzix and all the hard work going into the future!
I'm excited.
Times like these don't happen very often. Go, VUZI!
Interesting that it takes a game to capture the imagination of the public, and to introduce the potential of AR to many.
Much more to come.
Perhaps Nintendo has nudged the ball into motion, however, I would not focus on Nintendo. For instance, I expect Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, etc... to respond to AR to in a manner that is both nurturing to developers and crushing to competition.
Again software developers gold rush is upon us.
Echoes of familiarity in that article, I must say.
Right on, Jolly.
I have traded.
What I have now is long. It is good to protect one's capital. Especially with something as risky as this!
If the LQMT world comes tumbling down, I would look closely at trading a little again. Otherwise I am here for the long run!,
...how ever it goes.
Beautiful! VUZI is on the ball.
Management taking the vision and the dream to reality in a reasonable, collaborative, coordinated and aggressive manner is very exciting.
The turning point for AR and VR is arriving just as it did for the PC and the smart phone. The feeling is exactly the same.
It starts with a mishmash of clunky, but useful systems and only gets better. Now the weeding begins.
VUZI is well positioned with Paul in the lead. You're really doing this, guys!
Glad to be a shareholder. I wouldn't miss it!
From all that I have seen over the years, VUZI is worth the risk, early in a revolution of how we live our lives.
Now, people are catching on...
Slowly, ...slowly the world is catching on to the obvious.
That article sounds vaguely familiar. AR/VR are not an investment opportunity to miss!
I am very interested to see what Apple's approach to all of this will be, along with the other big players.
2016 is a turning point for something very big!
Interesting.
Nice find.
Hey, L1. Thanks for what you do for this board.
You keep me checking in frequently!
VUZI is moving toward realizing what we have been anticipating for a long time. The fluctuations in pps are not a concern to me.
Thanks again for sharing great info. Fun to watch!
Very exciting!
I have been impressed with how hard VUZI management has been working to propel the company forward for a very long time.
This is a big year for us!
AAPL will not be... "toast" if an iPhone case is not made of amorphous alloy.
It is time for a groundbreaking device from Apple. LQMT will not be necessary for that one.
"Pokemon Go" scratches the surface ice of a deep reservoir of applications.
The potential use of BMG is a very big deal for a great many uses. Most of those will be very boring for the general public.
However, the use of amorphous alloy technologies will be big business!
Me too.
