Thanks again, Caja. Monday will be very interesting.
I think that you are right.
This is my 14 cents. Adding a little. We'll see what happens next. Perhaps another, better opportunity later.
Hold on to your hats. I think a lot of people are about to give up on LQMT. Zombie's apocalypse may be upon us, and may be very exciting as well. Interesting coming from me, but, logical.
It would be interesting to know how many of us are out here on the LQMT board listening for the most part. Perhaps not an empty house.
Thanks! Things are headed in the right direction.
Thanks, Watts. Nice article! I'm waiting for my 14 cents or lower before adding further. Believing in the long term, when the optimistic of us get discouraged I see that as the time to begin building my position in LQMT. Pps reflecting investor confidence here, not real world numbers. This pps can not be justified with real numbers.
Scattered ducks seem like they are being herded into a row. Exciting times will come, eventually. How low will the pps go before then?
I very much appreciate your sharing of what you discovered at the meeting and for sharing your thoughts and impressions as well.
I also like your approach to this board. I am encouraged by the developments at LQMT. Helping one another to be successful is the way to go in my opinion as well!
Thanks for the information, Watts! Much appreciated!
Thanks for keeping us informed, I very much appreciate it!
I would very much like to hear what ever you discover. I am excited about the direction LQMT is headed these days.
I'm adding a little today. This seems to be level of opportunity following the perceived Apple letdown that I like.
I believe in the long term prospects for LQMT. Paul is a big deal for us. The ability to deliver on contracts reliably is within grasp. The problems with fabrication are being solved and will continue to improve. We have loads of IP.
Aggressive sales can not happen until reliable manufacturing is secured. I believe that is what is beginning.
With the Engel machine, reliable feed stock from Materion, mould manufacturers and the hire of Paul I am liking this.
I agree with your line of thought regarding the bending phone, Gorgal. We've heard "why build a case of amorphous alloy?" for quite a while. If we want thinner it needs to be stronger.
I suspect that we're all still here, perhaps here more than is healthy.
Sold 999,600 shares, right?
Thanks, Joe.
I consider myself a long, however, what works very well for me is to buy additional shares on significant drops and sell a little on spikes that are perhaps unrealistic.
Having a drop in pps now does not spook me at all, rather, I see it as an opportunity to add a little. Good to save some cash for possible drops further where I would buy a little more. I would not do that if I did not believe in the future prospects of LQMT.
What controls the price is emotion based on information.
Apple's use of liquidmetal would help legitimize the use by others, however, I believe that Paul will bring realistic expectation and legitimacy to the industry. Apple will be using BMG, no question. We are still just starting. It's going to take a while.
Learning that the wild fluctuations are opportunities to do the opposite of the herd is very valuable. Choosing the buy and sell points has to happen without intense emotion for me. Understanding that a lot of people are going through intense emotion influencing their decision to buy or sell beyond reason has to be done from a distance. Emotions change.
This is probably what a lot of the people on the board do. I buy some on disappointment and sell some on emotional highs.
Opportunity approaches... How many saw this coming?
The expectation that Apple would use BMG in its new products was built into the pps of LQMT. If Liquidmetal were to be splashed on the back of the Apple Watch I don't think that the share price would have gone up as much as it would drop with disappointing news.
We're not done.
I agree.
LQMT is like the misguided child in whom the hopes of the parent continues to reside even in the midst of disappointment and despair.
I have an expectation for the long awaited triumphant return for anyone who donated their assets to to development of LQMT early on and did not give up or die waiting.
It won't be tomorrow, but, it's coming with the help of a lot of muscle. The push to make the technology successful is not going to stop. This is the beginning of something big, not an overnight success story. A lot of invested money burned in development, etc... I think that it's the "etc..." that brings a lot of bitterness.
Who else will benefit from the success of this technology? It's good to watch for them too.
I think we're putting the pieces together to build something great! LQMT is risky and I don't think there is any doubt about that.
Giving up on it completely would be a mistake with so many things going on, even with the disappointments.
I wonder about Mark Hansen too. I imagine that his retail background was not applicable to the developmental stage LQMT was in.
When he came on I was very excited believing that LQMT was closer to commercialization than we were.
There is a great deal of effort going into making BMG commercially successful. LQMT is one of the roads going in that direction.
There is a whole world of other things to do while LQMT goes from seed to sprout to tree to bud to flower to fruit.
Patience...
Of course conditions may kill the tree. I'm liking the new gardener, however.
I want the fruit as much as anyone else, but, I won't eat it until it's ready.
Time to add a little again.
LQMT is definitely in dangerous waters. The best stories include some risk. In "Deadliest Catch" sometimes they bring in quite a haul! Sometimes they don't. I'd rather own the boat than count on a single catch.
I'm happy with Paul on board. I think that we're getting closer to clearing the doldrums.
Adding slowly sounds just right. This is where I add a small amount to my holdings knowing that better opportunities to add may be ahead.
When the cost savings associated with AutoloGel are more fully understood by health insurance entities and health care providers, then the treatment can be standard practice for chronic wound care. The big deal here is still the favorable reimbursement for the AutoloGel treatment by CMS. There is no reason not to use it other than changing business as usual and incorporating a new procedure. Chronic wound care is an overlooked problem on a large scale.
This is the drop that I was looking for to add shares. Better opportunities may come, however, I want to be part of this.
Thanks for the reply, Locke
Does anyone know the number of VUZI shareholders of record at this point, or how to determine this?
I've been adding to my position recently, encouraged by the acceleration of positives. I appreciate the input from most of the posters on this board.
The confidence of management sways my opinion. It seems to me that VUZI has reached a turning point and I am excited about where things are going. Traders can create opportunities for those of us long term.
If the pps drops I will add some more.
My shares will not be for sale. Perhaps I'll buy yours if your prediction comes to fruition. Some of us have are longer view and other things to do.
Interesting, if bmg is transparent to radio frequencies then it might be used in stealth applications if sheet manufacturing prevails?
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Thank you, Caja.
It's nice to hear someone who sounds like they have a very similar approach to LQMT as I have.
If the price drops significantly I'll add to my position. If not, I'm happy with what I have. I like what I see happening at this point. This is part of what holds the price up. Looks like a handle forming to me. Impatient people selling to get out and some of us who have a stronger long outlook ready to add.
I do like to share ideas. To be excited is not a bad thing when following a plan.
We shall see. I would not mind adding. Patience can be tough.
That would be interesting. I don't think that many on this board will pay much attention to Sierra World Review, however.
LMT is one of the parties that might go after the Crucible IP by acquiring LQMT.
Looking forward to see what happens
Apple's use of amorphous alloy on a large scale is the verification that this technology is a go.
Don't we all have a degree of concern that reliable, cost effective fabrication might not happen?
Apple has the power to get this ball rolling. Apple has been pushing very hard. Glass has been a big deal for apple for a very long time. BMG is the ultimate material for them. I am convinced that metallic glass will become a "signature" material for Apple. Once the BMG ball gets going, with all of it's inertia, there will be no stopping it.
Apple's use of this materials technology, while not contributing directly to LQMT, will be tremendous for us.
You know why you keep an eye on LQMT.
The price bounces with our imaginations reading into clues and the belief about what is going on behind the scenes.
My belief is that we have a cascade of events pointing toward a interesting future. I believe that human beings are generally impatient and short sighted
I very much enjoy your attitude in general. We will arrive on solid ground that we all crave as investors. The open waters that we find ourselves in now can be very dangerous, of course. It looks like we are finding our bearings and are traveling in the right direction, however slowly.
We all need the kind of patience that you have displayed while understanding the danger of the journey. I believe strongly that we will arrive at a profitable future. I am convinced that the contracts will come that give us a solid footing and a foundation to build on.
The other possibility is that if in September we are hit with disappointment, another opportunity to buy is presented. I am holding some cash for this possibility.
The sum of the information available to investors, while incomplete and requiring plenty of speculation, adds up to owning a significant holding in LQMT for me.
If I did not own LQMT at this point I would buy some, holding some cash for pull backs. I do not want to be out of this.
Thankfully I have been able to build a position that I am happy with. I am holding tight to what I have and will not buy more unless sentiment goes back to despair.
Opportunity awaits for us in September, as you say, whether things are rosey or bleak. I believe we are going in the right direction.
Fun to tag along with the folks on this board and it's huge cast of characters!
The positive spin is over the top.
I think the road ahead is bumpy for LQMT with an exciting destination. I'm happy to be on this journey, however, I recognize that it may be a very dangerous one.
I'm also watching for other roads to the same destination.
I agree with the LQMT- MTRN fit.
With favorable conditions for Materion they would be very interested in taking on the challenge of applying the LQMT intellectual property. Materials application is their expertise.
They know that aggressively pursuing the implementation of amorphous alloys has tremendous potential that they are perfectly suited to bring to practical use.
Very nicely said. I totally agree and look forward to an exciting future. Thanks for your level headed thinking and articulation.
Apple would love to have something exotic like this "space age" material when they present their product to the world.
I'm happy.
