I think this is most likely scenario.
Your questions become more legitimate if no announcement of foundry/foundries by end of year. eom
Love being able to pick up a few more shares under 7! Unbelievable.
I think you make a rational point here. That said, I would hypothesize that LWLG is being careful not to alienate the foundries and all the collaboration partners required to pull off the big WIN in the end by shouting "IT"S ALL US" from the top of their lungs to the world at large. Tempting perhaps, but let the groundswell bubble under the surface until the full power can be unleashed and not be turned back by all the naysayers who would undoubtedly work to pick holes in the layman's story they would be trying to tell...in essence potentially jeopardizing the least path of resistance to the ultimate "promised land".
Great post! Eom
I take great comfort in hearing that Lebby has reiterated confidence in forecast timeline. I suppose if a foundry announcement happened before end of Q3 some might criticize him for "sandbagging". I also wonder if it is not in LWLG best interest to have multiple foundries announce in close proximity with one another...certainly reinforces the notion of ubiquity.
Not so passive intimidation? Hope Lebby has a body guard.
Link to EPIC conference information...I don't see any ability to join sessions via remote/web.

Anyone know if there will be public recording of LWLG presentation at IMEC (Sep 8) made available? If not, do we expect to have anyone there to report "news"? Thanks.
Prayers and best wishes for your brother!
I think he prefers to be known now as "T-Bone".
LOL. Exactly!
Adding more to my pile. I'm not one for wishing summer away, but certainly glad we are officially into September tomorrow. Means we should be closer to the holy grail. Even if Lebby does not come through with the joint PR this month, I trust he knows he needs to reveal additional good news/tidbits as part of participation in upcoming conferences.
What, not even 1% for August?
I wonder what "expedited commercialization process" translates to in terms of timing of $. I note reference to scale production being achieved in 2024. I wonder if there is opportunity for this schedule to be accelerated? Of course, part of the equation will be finding out how much LWLG receives for licensing, tech transfer vs. actually realizing revenue when the scale production actually commences. Thoughts?
Well...in 10 minutes he did about as well as anyone could do given the general nature of the questions presented. I would have been disappointed had LWLG used this as THE opportunity to release anything really new and significant...it would have been opportunity wasted...
Also looks like GFS releases BMO (before market opens) tomorrow.
GFS 2Q results being released tomorrow, correct? Wonder if we get some additional news/color on "Fotonix" and/or any pseudo references to LWLG? Chip bill also being officially signed tomorrow, correct? Just guessing on the Chips bill they might wait until the ink is dry before talking too many specifics about how $ will be spent.
Agree. I am glad to say I have a very significant holding of shares and also refuse to loan them out. (I cancelled the margin privileges on my account a long time ago…mainly to discourage broker from ever lending them out).
Great point! eom.
I'm torn. As a free market economics proponent, I don't like this "chips" bill at all. As a LWLG shareholder, I guess it may end up being a good thing. I'd prefer to see LWLG make it on its own...which I think they have largely done and on their way to great prosperity even without it. I'd be more interested in seeing our congressional leaders being less beholding to big company, old ways of doing business. LWLG, on the other hand, represents everything right about ingenuity and perseverance...they don't need the handout.
Sincere condolences! eom.
Certainly would be interesting to hear some comments of interplay between Lebby and CEO of POET...both on panel at PIC from someone who was there?
I'm certainly hoping it's more like 2 months. See my previous post. As shrewd and also respectful as Lebby is for retail shareholders, I "trust" that he will not leave us in the cold for up to 6 months...at the whim of further manipulation. But we shall see.
I completely agree with you. That slide number 30 in June investor presentation includes ALOT of wiggle room...the "2024 Customer acceptance and ramp" in particular. When they have clearly been working with foundries for months (years) at what point should we really expect some monetization. As I suggested previously, what kind of $ can be realistically expected with "technology transfer", etc. Is this smaller than a "bread box" or bigger than a "house"? You cannot tell me that LWLG does not have enough leverage to structure some kind of arrangement (partnership, deal, etc. whatever you want to call it) that happens sooner vs. later. It's more a question of how much LWLG might "give up" long term in a more immediate "windfall" vs. waiting more for the long haul...seems like there should be a legitimate compromise in between. Perhaps getting patents all lined up properly is the rationale for delay?
Agree. To me, this is the multi-million $ question....the structure of how/when LWLG receives money following the first foundry announcement. It would be great if there is a substantial upfront payment...say, enough to make the company instantly cash flow positive/profitable....but also not sacrificing too much of the volume royalty % that is anticipated as the technology becomes ubiquitous.
Well, I learned early on subscriptions. My brother joined Columbia Record Club circa 1970...10 free albums and agree to buy one more album per month thereafter...got me interested in music at an early age but I think he is still trying to get out of the club...lol.
But to turn this discussion into something LWLG-relevant...
The topic of "subscriptions" is interesting with respect to LWLG business model. As it relates to LWLG business model of licensing polymer materials and transferring technology to foundries - Dr. Lebby suggests opportunities for enhancement for decades to come. What would the subscription be worth for a foundry to have access to "preferred status" subscription to such enhancements for X many years to come? Just food for thought as to how deals may be potentially constructed.
She gives me all the green bananas from the retirement home...and complains that they are the only fruit they serve. LOL.
With her permission, now buying shares in my 90 year old plus mom's account. Oddly, IMO, this is "safer" than buying IBM stock in the 1960s!
Wow! Encore!!!
Thanks. Eom
Never trust a proven liar. Who knows, if a certain "entity" survives its current significant problem, perhaps they end up supporting the shorting of Synopsis in the future.
Also agree. EOM.
That “legally can but won’t” part is what causes me some concern. It certainly would be preferable to have something in writing with more “teeth”.
Thanks. Eom
I am not a techie and would love to see them weigh in also. I would like to think this is an example of what Lebby means when he uses the term “ubiquitous”. If we are partners with theses players and they can accomplish these things without LWLG raises other questions.
I have read various posts about this issue of brokers lending out shares to short. I removed the margin feature from my Schwab account to hopefully insure that my shares cannot be shorted. Still not completely sure that Schwab is technically prevented from doing so? When I asked rep about it I got a somewhat wispy/washy answer that they would not do so…but it was not totally reassuring. At the very least, it would be disingenuous on Schwab’s part to do so without asking my permission and offering to pay me X% interest. Schwab has previously offered to pay me interest to loan my shares and I have always declined. They have not asked me for several months…just guessing because I always decline.
Well stated! Totally agree. eom
I REALLY DO wish there were some good, well articulated and thoughtful bearish case posts here. I have not really seen any that carry water. Sometimes, things just are what they are...or in this case, what they also will be.
er...well sure! But risk/reward and scale potential also factor BIG into the equation. When revenue does happen, signals have all indicated it will become more readily apparent to the market that it will be coming rather fast, furiously and "ubiquitously".
