Total dog of an outfit. It's faster to put a man on the moon than it is for Isaiah to sell a dime bag of weed. Probably cheaper too.
Could easily set the record for lowest tv ratings in WS history. Snakes couldn't even fill their stadium with their own fans for game 5.
Balco bloop! If you're lucky they'll toss in Womack's double.
Wonder how times they paid that one out. Throwing darts....
Tough series to watch, but Bochy has an amazing record in the playoffs. And Texas thumps that ball.
Sure didn't see this one coming.
Bochy going to Monty early....on about 2 days rest!
I'll go with Yankees fan thinking about all those years of Rodon!
Add Kimbrel Byung-hyun Kim- guys you never want out their with the game on the line. In a best of 7 series, if a pitcher blows 3 games, that's on the manager.
and are waiting FDA decision by next June.
Bio plays are getting crushed across the board. GERN's time will come, but with a June approval date, expeacting a run-up at this time is a bit over optimistic IMO.
This is baseball bullying at its finest. Wheeler and Nola have been unbelievavble. Gallen and Kelly have also been quite decent, but their margin for error against the Phillies lineup is nil; the Phillies are crushing anything even close to over the plate. And who does Arizona start in games 3&4?
Let's see what happens in Texas tomorrow. I think Scherzer get shelled in game 3, and Houston finds their way back. The Stros are too good a team to rollover in 4 or 5.
But make no mistake, if you can hit they will find a place for you and if you pitch and hit, you can overcome the occasional deficiency on defense in my opinion.
So far so good for Philly. But did you watch game 1 against the snakes? That was a game Philly dominated from the first pitch. Their 5-0 lead should have been 10-0, but they let the snakes hang around. When Dominquez botched that easy DP ball and threw it into CF, Arizona was right where they never should have been: batting with a chance to tie or take the lead. It didn't work out for Arizona in game 1, but Houston or Texas have line ups that are much more capable of making opponenets pay when given 4-5 outs per inning.
Absolutely crushed, both of them. Phillies have the swagger, for sure.
Nice to see Chapman hasn't lost his late inning touch. Alavarez crushed that ball!
Big Game Nate just put up an awesome 5th innning. Bags loaded nobody out: K, K groundout to 3rd. Huge.
It was Heim who might have given Montgomery a new moniker, calling him "Big Guy" as he threw his arms around the clutch lefty in the clubhouse. "That was the first time (calling him that)," Heim said. "I don't know where that came from. But it's a good one."
Heim should consider some creative writing classes in the off-season...
Montgomery has certainly been nothing if not under appreciated. At the time, the Yanks deal for Bader didn't look horrible, but nobody makes a trade thinking it's not going to work out. Guess the proof is in the results, which over time, prove the difference between a quality GM and a chattering bonehead.
Chapman goes from a first pitch game tying home run to a double play in a matter of inches.
Monty with yet another dominant outing in game 1. The guy gets no respect.
Damn, that's scary action! Happy you're home and recovering. Hope you're back to 100% before the World Series.
Yup. The Dodgers looked old and slow. And not just the pitching. But what Philly did to the Braves. WOW. To make a team that good look that beatable isn't easy, even in a short series. I can't see the Snakes getting past Philly, who as a wild card ends up with home field advantage in the NLCS.
And in the AL, Bochy knows how to win with less.
Great call on INMD. Any appeal at this level?
Imagine how dominant Texas would be if Degrom and Scherzer were healthy.
Talk about a game turning on a dime! AL is a blowout fest. Chuck in the Dodgers listlessness and it's been a pretty boring second round. I was hoping to see some late inning pressure...see how dudes respond....maybe tomorrow.
Too many big bats in that line up. No mistakes without serious pain. Interesting The Phils didn't go with the rookie in that inning.
Philllies looking great! Pitching and D.
.The Mets house is well and truly cleaned out. No doubt getting rid of buck and billy were high on the agenda when stearns had his first chat with cohen.
It's been years in the coming, but Mets fans now have the best pieces in place at the top of the organisation. Should be a good run ahead.
Love it! Thanks for posting.
I won't scapegoat Donaldson for Milwaukee's poor playoff performance. There was plenty of bad baseball on display with the pitching, batting, fielding and baserunning to make sure no single player was the culprit.
Had the team been Philly, Atlanta or LA, it's likely the scores would have been much, much worse.
Hey, it's true production!!
No surprise with Adames. Brewers used their big threat already: Jessie frickin Wanker..... That's desperation for ya.
The wire in the bra is getting thicker and thicker every season! Best thing on the field today, if you're a Brewers fan!
Snakes probably very happy to tank game 162 and have a Brewers/Dodgers path rather than the Phillies/Braves bracket.
Brewers gave it away. Santana can't handle a DP ball and the wheels fall off. Crew isn't Philly: they can't put up runs in bunches. When Jessie Winker is your big threat off the bench, you got problems.
He'll be available in 4 innings.
OT: Did Matt Gaetz change parties? Did I miss something?
Brewers played their worst game of the season. Don't know if it's pressure or Woodruff' injury, but their play in game 1 was a disaster. Burnes, Williams....rocked when they were needed. Yelich with 2 baserunning blunders.....and RISP all night long. Even Counsell, who has been steady, trots out Winker to PH in his first AB since July. The K was totally predictable and didn't take long. Pathetic game to watch.
Fastball Freddy better go 6 innings of 1 run ball today or this is it. And if the Crew doesn't win at least this series, Counsells taking his MOY award to New York.
Ughhh. Just read the Woodruff story. This is awful news and really crunches Crew's shot at going deep. In 2018 he was the anchor, shutting down Kershaw and the Dodgers in game 1 of the NLCS and knocking one over the wall. Hate to see this happen.....
Ha! I love the way you think. Who do you have coming out of the AL?
Boone ain't the problem in the Bronx. You can only trot out what the front office signs, and in NY, there's Cole and Judge, maybe Gleyber, followed by some steaming piles of yesterday's dog dinner. Boone tried the veterans, he tried the youngsters...none of it worked. This is a bad team, full stop. A one or two player tweak isn't going to change that. Not even Billy Martin could kick these knuckleheads into shape. Top that off with the fact that you're in a division with excellent organisations that are just hitting their strides and should be competitive for the next 5-7 years. If the Yankees want a division title before 2030, they'd best relocate to the AL Central.
On the upside, it is good to see Judge taking his captain's duties seriously and speaking up about the issues that need fixing. What does he have to lose?
Counsell better get Manager of the Year this season after being shafted numerous times in the past 6.
