picksit, re: TS
I don't know, I don't subscribe now. Cancelled 12/31/04.
But yeah, he should be sending an "Alert" email out to his microcap subscribers with some of his thoughts.

picksit re: "his energy picks have served me quite well"
I'm so overweighted in energy and alternate energy right now it isn't funny, and they are all MY picks. Nobody needed Tobin to tell them about energy, did they? LOL. Energy stocks are going to go where, as oil moves to $100+ a barrel? Why ... UP! "Peak Oil", that's where we're headed.
That having been said, Tobin's picks in 2004 did get me into ATPG and PQUE, and I sent him an email thanking him for those ... of course, that email was one of several which were 90% busting his chops and calling him an idiot for the stupid calls he was making early in 2004 :)
I'm very happy with NEOM for the long haul. My long long picks have done well by me, TIV from $2 to $16, DSTI from $5 to $16, one other I can't name because I have a stalker on message boards and I refuse to give him that pick.
GLTY
jonesie
No, TS is fairly cagey when it comes to that.
I was once a subscriber to his main newsletter, never to his MicroCap letter, but like a lot of folks gleaned NEOM from his teaser emails about it.
I'm surprised he even said he sold part of his position at the highs to get the downpayment on his house LOL.
But the only way you'll know when he's out, usually, is to check his disclosure pages on his website. You can access those whether a subscriber or not, initial link at the bottom of his home page, you'll find it.
Last I looked he was still holding NEOM. He only updates his disclosures once a month as I recall, last time was 6/6 as I recall.
jonesie
p.s. Someone said TS recently mentioned his good call on NEOM. And his call sub-.10 was indeed good. He's a trip, he still mentions MTRX as a great past pick of his, but he conveniently leaves out that he sucked a lot of folks in at $10+ by raising his "buy unders" and didn't say sell until it was a lot lower than that, yet still above his original purchase.
re: "now that we are thru .30 TIA"
We are only "thru" .30 momentarily.
If we actually drop through .30, it could go to .20, seriously. Ouch. I hope not, I wanna be happy with my .30's, happier than the ones I bought yesterday ;)
jonesie
From my post yesterday:
"While waiting, NEOM should be trading in a channel bounded today by .30 and .475. We're somewhere in the middle of that channel now. It is an ascending channel."
Loved buying near .30 just now.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I think LOL.

re: "down 50%"
Might I suggest thinking about it this way:
NEOM never had any business being up over .70.
It probably should have run up to about .45, but "irrational exuberance" took over, as ofttimes happens in a stock like this, but still, it NEVER should have run up over .45.
In THAT light, NEOM has had ~20% retracement from what SHOULD have been the high so far.
While waiting, NEOM should be trading in a channel bounded today by .30 and .475. We're somewhere in the middle of that channel now. It is an ascending channel.

GO NEOM!

Nevermind, 7/14, cool, thanks.
Does anyone think the court sect'y would know why it was postponed and if she did, would she say?
jonesie
So there is a postponement?
I haven't read all the posts.
Postponed to when?
TIA
jonesie
moxa, news, yes, we need news!
Sooner or later anyway.
Meanwhile one of my other big holdings is making a nice little move upwards so it's easing the pain over here a bit.
Hope I was right about my average price being such a smartly constructed position that buying more around there was a totally brilliant and justifiable move on my part.
LOL.
If not, and on NO news, I will not only load the boat at .30 I will buy two new boats to load up. Then I'll either ride all those boats to the moon with NEOM ... or go down with the ship.
;)
GLTA

Bought more.
I know this isn't a "trading" board, but what the heck, got more at .386, a tad below where my core position is averaged in, always wanted more in there so I did, no guts no glory eh?
I DO see the chart potential for NEOM to go to .30 or even lower on no news, hope it doesn't, be painful, but I do think in the long run this is a real winner.
Thanks to all for the excellent DD that has been published on this board.
GO NEOM!
jonesie
Penny, I thought you got out the other day?
Or mostly out? Why aren't you patting yourself on the back instead of standing on the street corner ranting?
jonesie
"this news was provided to drive the share price into the 50's and get some momentum before something more significant?"
And is that what we're supposed to think management is concerned with? Playing games with NR's, NR timing, the PPS and momo? Gawd, I hope not, surely that's not a good basis for business decisions. That kind of thinking just sounds like pumping/scamming.
JMHO
jonesie
Thanks rigatoni, for doing this board.
The board info is sure helpful, thanks for that too.
Is it just me, or has RB slowed way down lately and just gotten generally aggravating to use?
Nice move in SUPW. Who are going to be the future buyers at much higher prices? How does the word get out? I like you guys, I really do, but I'm not sure we want to be trading stock back and forth amongst ourselves.
GO SUPW!

kokonutguy:
re: "Looks like another repeat performance seen in April."
What? Are you talking about the 3 days late in April of profit taking during a run, with a relatively mild drop in PPS?
NEOM sure didn't see a 6 week downtrend in April, with a 40%+ drop in share price.
Just looking for clarification of what you mean.
TIA
jonesie
wooger, re: "Chart definetly say up from here..."
Please elaborate? I want to buy in here, looking for a reason.
Want some more trendline stuff picksit? Start one back in early November, again on a one year OHLC chart, and run it through the aggregate of lows in early April. That trendline currently sits at .30.
Start one back in early November, and run it through those SPIKE lows in Early April. That trendline currently sits at .20.
NEOM doesn't "show the money" sometime soon and one of THOSE will be the double-bottom they are looking at.
JMHO
jonesie
moxa, yes we did.
On 5/23 NEOM did a LOD of .451. Maybe NEOM will do a double-tap bottom here today and reverse itself.
Maybe Toby's minions will be buying under .50, is he still pushing that as his "buy under"?
GLTA
jonesie
picksit, I tend to agree, except re: "right now there is no trend"
On a daily one year OHLC chart draw a downtrend line starting with the high on 5/3, plot it through the high on 5/12, extend it.
That's a trend. A profound downtrend that NEOM isn't anywhere close to breaching to the upside. Today that downtrend line sits ~ 0.525, more than 10% above where NEOM is now. Break that line to the upside one day and NEOM will have a confirmed new trend.
JMHO
jonesie
And btw, re: chart
Does anyone see ANYthing good in this chart? All I see is indications of more down. W%R has gone all the way down to 100, so maybe it will reverse and give a buying signal later.
An ascending trendline I plotted starting with some old resistance that kind of turned into support has been breached to the downside intraday today. Looks like crap. One could by at the low-of-day any day recently and be underwater now, NEOM needs a new trend, the current trend is DOWN.
So, that's my "chart stuff", anything on the FA side? NEOM going to cough up some news on bucks/deals/contracts/income anytime soon?
All JMHO and long term I "think" NEOM is/could be a huge mover to the upside. All they need to do is a percentage of what some of the staunchest longs on this board say they are going to do.
jonesie
NEOM in downtrend since 5/3.
They say the trend is your friend. When buying in a downtrend one is just guessing at a bottom. Best thing to do is wait until confirmation of a bottom, which means "missing" the bottom, but buying in a confirmed uptrend.
This slow bleed (and not all that slow either) has got to be killing those that got in in the .60's.
Is NEOM going to come out with some news (i.e., some info on how they are making MONEY) or are we going all the way back to .20-.30?
JMHO
jonesie
Bought some more, tripled my stake here.
Got the 1st buy signal I like, I'm interested to see if the next day or so confirms.
No guts no glory ;)

from IBD founder Will O'Neil's book...
" In our study of the greatest stock market winners from 1953 to 1993, we discovered more than 95% of these stunning successes in American industry either had a major new product or service, new management, or an important change for the better in this particular industry." pg 23
I liked this part: "The holder of the largest of these notes is working with the Company to restructure the consideration that he and others will receive in connection with the Company's acquisition of TEC."
Better than NOT working with them, eh?
This seems to tell us about their anticipated production:
"TEC has entered into certain commodity hedging transactions representing approximately 85% of the Company's estimated production over the next 42 months. The Company has hedged approximately 500,000 barrels of oil over the period utilizing costless collars with a floor of $40 per bbl and a ceiling of $67.10 per bbl. Similarly, the Company has hedged approximately 1.7 Bcf of gas over the same period with a floor of $6.00 per MMbtu and a ceiling of $9.10 per MMbtu."

Tandem Energy Holdings Inc. Financing Update
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BusinessWire
09:08 a.m. 06/10/2005
MIDLAND, Texas, Jun 10, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tandem Energy Holdings Inc. (TDYH)
On March 1, 2005, the Company issued notes to acquire the stock of Tandem Energy Corporation (TEC). The Company was not able to secure financing on satisfactory terms to retire the notes before their June 1, 2005, maturity date. The holder of the largest of these notes is working with the Company to restructure the consideration that he and others will receive in connection with the Company's acquisition of TEC. To facilitate this restructuring, TEC, on June 8, 2005, borrowed $23 million from Guaranty Bank to retire certain indebtedness relating to TEC's acquisition of the assets of Shamrock Energy Corporation and to place the Company in a position to deal exclusively with the cooperative note holder. It is anticipated that the indebtedness to Guaranty Bank will be assumed by the Company in connection with any restructuring agreement between the Company and the cooperative note holder.
Additionally, and in conjunction with the credit agreement with Guaranty, TEC has entered into certain commodity hedging transactions representing approximately 85% of the Company's estimated production over the next 42 months. The Company has hedged approximately 500,000 barrels of oil over the period utilizing costless collars with a floor of $40 per bbl and a ceiling of $67.10 per bbl. Similarly, the Company has hedged approximately 1.7 Bcf of gas over the same period with a floor of $6.00 per MMbtu and a ceiling of $9.10 per MMbtu.

Here's your chance.
To fill your lowball order.
I'm going to wait to see how far the ball drops. The company needs to stick to the timelines they put out earlier. Gotta do what you say you're gonna do.
Or at least the timelines that folks are posting here.

Busted my mid-term trendline intrady so far.
Need to have about a .52 close today, now NEOM is below it.
Next stop would be my lower trendline, at .46 today, if NEOM breaks this line to the downside, IMHO. Hmmm, .46 is the 50SMA as well.
GLTA

So far NEOM held the trendline, just like on 5/23. Hold it the rest of the day, bounce off it today or tomorrow, and all is well in my world :)

Anyone expecting any kind of positive news
anytime soon?
This slow bleed is getting a little old, and it isn't all that slow.
jonesie
p.s. NEOM is sitting right on an uptrend line that has been good since 4/4. Breaks that, it might not be pretty.
"I mentionned Paperclick,he jumped and said THIS IS TOP SECRET,how do you know about it."
I was with you up to that part, then I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.
Why would he think "THIS IS TOP SECRET"? He wouldn't. It's a freaking public company. What did he mean by "THIS"? Then the next question becomes ... why would you post that?
Okay, thanks for the chuckle, back to my coffee and news.
jonesie
resistance? or support?
I had my own trendline "support" at .475 and it's fallen thru that, temporarily. Sure busted our previous "support" in the .50x area.
ugly ugly ugly
My charts are gone LOL
I use Fidelity ActiveTraderPro and while they finally updated the previous day's price so the 1000%+ gain (lol) went away, I've only got one day of chart .. today. I had some nice trendlines too, didn't even think about saving them in a jpg or something.
So how's the chart looking? ;)
jonesie
p.s. Trying to remember past split effects, anyone using Fidelity ATP remember if the old GTEL chart might show up under GTE sooner or later?
We've had support in the .50x area ...
2 times recently ... think we'll get it again?
If not, I've got an ascending lower trendline sitting at .475 today, but I'm thinking we bounce off .50x, maybe see .47x intraday.
Any thoughts? Thinking about buying back my traders in here.
jonesie
W%R is an indicator I like a lot.
But I use a period of 10 days on a yearly chart. When the indicator crosses below the top bar (usually 20 like you said, sometimes 25 on a stock's chart), depending on how other indicators look, volume, etc, I'll sell. When it has gone below 80 (or sometimes 75, again depending on the chart) I ofttimes buy a stock.
By waiting until it actually crosses one of those lines to the upside or downside I have been getting a 75% success rate with that indicator alone. Combining it with others has improved the success rate.
What chart are you looking at that shows W%R in the 80+ area? On my one year daily chart, using 10 periods, I'm showing it at 38.46, using 14 periods it was closer to 50 as I recall.
jonesie
And yet another buying opp?
I might actually try to buy a few here, bought a tiny amount a while back, much higher than here LOL, but just to get it on my main screen.
GLTA
jonesie
Yeah, I can't see a dang thing in Fidelity either.
ActiveTraderPro platform, real time streaming, T&S, the works and am flying blind with TDYH wrt bid/ask LOL.
Hate when that happens.
On the other hand I added to my initial very small position yesterday and Wednesday, averaging down, but with a big movement in my cost basis.
Just hate being blind.

Apparently it was deleted, why would that be?
Others will see comments out there on any number of fronts, just like I did on the EFF thing on another board. I would think the discussion of them and, as in this case, the very positive response to any "issue", would be a good thing overall.
If whoever deleted that post wants to email me and tell me why, my email address is in my profile. Thanks.

joedimaggio, thanks for reply on EFF.
Like I said I figured it had been discussed here before and I really appreciate the recap. Makes sense that Virgin's lawyers would have looked into everything possible. That's pretty funny about EFF having Nintendo on their list!
GLTA, I for one am averaging UP as judiciously as possible. Congrats to you guys who have already amassed quite the pile of profits, and remember that in large part it is the newer investors like me and even newer ones who will be buying shares at the ever higher prices everyone wants to see.
