My .02
Draw an uptrend line from the lows in early 12/03 through the lows in 11/04.
Barring some good news I wouldn't be surprised at all to see GTE bang down to this trendline again before any big moves up.
That line currently sits ~ $1.50.
As always, news will trump TA (especially my simple TA here lol)
Disclaimer: I got back in GTE for a few shares on 6/30/05 or so when GTE came back down to a shorter-term uptrend line and was right up against its downtrend line. Looked a little like money flow was coming in to the stock then as well. Oh well, busted below that ST uptrend line and banged down off the downtrend line too.

"But this is the ONE stock"
Same here, at least the ONE "penny stock".
I traded some NEOM a couple of times, most recently sold some of the shares I bought at .30 on that last dip, gonna buy them back shortly. But with NEOM, whenever I've got less than what I consider to be a full shot of it in hand ... I'm a little nervous.
It's a risk, but to me it's one that's worthy of sticking with for the longer term.

billybass, interesting post.
"it would be advantageous to NEOM to close the merger while the NEOM stock price is as high as possible"
Right on. And although I keep hearing that NEOM cannot "promote" the company/stock during this time period ... it would have been (and still would BE) very nice if NEOM had SOME good material news to release in concert with or shortly after the Virgin settlement news. That would have helped NEOM give up as few shares as possible, like you say.
On the other hand, if NEOM drifts lower it just makes me buy more, like back at .30 the other day. But since I assume NEOM is more interested in the ultimate details of the BSDS share "thing" than they are interested in my desire to purchase shares cheaper ... I must also assume there is just no material news to report.
They COULD report material news, right? That's not "promoting", that's "required".
Okay, that's my one NEOM post for the week I think ;)
GO NEOM and GLTA

p.s. I had to chuckle at your dream. Never discount dreams. Here's a good recent dream story. I throw a buck at one of Georgia's lotteries every now and then, it's a 5-number lottery. My sister knows I do this. She also knows I have a little program that lets me figure all possible combinations of various numbers, etc etc. Anyway about 2 months ago she dreamed 3 numbers, over and over the same night, as in these 3 numbers opened a combination safe. She'd close the door ... put the 3 numbers back in ... and it would open again. So she tells me this the next day and asks me if those 3 numbers might be useful in a lottery pick. I used the program and figured that if those were THREE of the five numbers that would be drawn, then all possible 5-number combinations incorporating those 3 numbers and the remaining 36 numbers (it's a 39 number lottery) would total 630. So for $630 and a little (well, a LOT) of playslip filling-in, one could take a shot at it, using her dreamed numbers.
Needless to say, even knowing my sis is a bit psychic, I didn't take the time to do that. Guess what? If I had, I would have won $639,000 that night, as her 3 dreamed numbers came up and for $630 I could have played every possible 5-number combination using those 3 numbers.
So now I don't know what to do ... play dreamed "hunches" ... or just listen to my sister more closely. :)
Yep it is a bit trying isn't it.
I grabbed a few at 2.20 on the "bounce" ... just have to see what happens next.

re: bottom: usually can't know except in hindsight.
Am I seeing it right that this stock started trading back in March or so at 1.34 or so? Then went up fairly quickly to ~ $2? Can't imagine anyone selling cheaper than in there somewhere.
jonesie
I still see that 480K trade on Fidelity
ActiveTraderPro, real time, streaming, time & sales.
It's still there.
re: SRAM
Been in it for quite a while, PR today which "could" be construed as a vote of confidence from RENN where they have gotten some of their financing.
Added this a.m. at the open, I was the first trade ... felt like the lone ranger there for a while.
jonesie
techbear, gregmaster, thanks
Good to be back on board, it's been a long LONG wait. So what someone was saying about "strat hype" going away, nothing has changed? Cool. I checked the main IHUB GTE board and NR's and didn't see anything. I was concerned maybe the company direction had changed. Sometimes my system gives me an alert when an objective has been reached and I just buy and ask questions later, not ALways the best way.
Good to see you guys again, good luck to us all and, as best we can, we'll make our OWN luck!

re: shares on the ask
Yep, that's where they are now. But 30 minutes ago there had been 130,000 shares on the bid at 2.82 for a while ... then they "magically" disappeared.
jonesie
Well, I bought some at 2.82
when GTE came all the way back down to my lower ascending trendline. Also figured it could hit the 200SMA. Then I come here and read something about "strat hype gone for now".
What the heck? I guess I need to read some messages LOL, I was just buying on my chart and reading that makes me think I might be about to get clipped. Wha' happened to the strats?
jonesie
Disclaimer: Sold back in April, been waiting for gtel/gte to come back to "here".
"The reserves summary"
A buddy of mine (in TIV with me for years, or maybe I've been in it with HIM, he pre-dates my arrival at TIV) looked over those numbers you posted and he LIKES it. He already invested in TDYH and he likes it better now than he did before. He has been in the oil business for 25+ years and has his own small oil/gas exploration company (sorry buddy, didn't mean "small" small, you know what I mean) and he says TDYH is the kind of company he LIKES a lot.
All in all I'm getting more comfy with it, thanks for the DD and, yeah, I'd rather be buying here than higher ... which I already did a coupla times ;)

Just added a few at 2.95 for the heck of it, could NOT get filled at 2.70.
Who got the 3000 chunk at 2.50? Some MM?
jonesie
Well, at least it's an unbelieveable 2.70 now.
Yep, check out neo.f frankfurt
Up 28% on heavy volume for that exchange.
I guess I should have disclosed earlier, while trading NEOM so far I'm in and in for the long haul. I guess that makes it a "longer term" thing for me.

NEOM settles with Virgin
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/050629/295231.html?.v=1
Virgin Entertainment, sub. of Virgin Group, settles with NEOM, will license, this validates NEOM's patents IMHO.
Bodes well for NEOM IMO.
jonesie
I'm awake!!! I'm happy!!!!
This has GOT to be a GOOD thing!!!
$$$$$$$$$ and getting on with the business!!
GO NEOM!

Nice channel breakout.
Had lower trendline at .53 back on 6/7, upper trendline at .86 today (lower at .60 today).
Again, nice breakout, staying in for the time being.

surfvenice, DT line being difficult.
Our downtrend line moved down to .46 to make it easier to get over, but ... no dice, bounced down off it again, albeit it on low volume. Operative: bounced down off it.
Surely NEOM can come up with SOME news on PaperClick? Won't take much.
Or, let's have another big dump so I can buy more down there, that's always fun!
NEOM's choice.
GO NEOM!
jonesie
surfvenice, so far we can't hold the "breakout".
Obviously. Back under that DT line. Shoot.
The day is young still?
GO NEOM!
jonesie
Just in case, I added some at the ask.
Tried for .08 when the last trade had been .079, no dice, so added some at .09, what the heck.
Gotta clear out some of that short-termers "overhead", right?
;)
GO SUPW!
jonesie
Close over .48 breaks a downtrend line we've been bouncing down off of for the last couple of months. That would be VERY bullish in my book.
JMHO
jonesie
doubloon, thanks.
I'm in for the longer haul, wherever it goes. I also got a couple of buds in this morning. We've all been in TIV from a buck or two together (O&G exploration) and it's pressing $14 now on addition to the Russell 2000.
Just curious as to anyone's take on that acc/dis line.
"Buy when others are selling", that's my motto. Usually works :)
jonesie
Chart looks okay, except ...
What's up with that Acc/Dis line? It sure doesn't indicate any accumulation going on at this level, more like distribution.
Hopefully that's the "dumb money" ;)

re: NEOM
Just some quick comments:
Lots of information on the NEOM IHUB board's info header.
Tobin Smith got behind NEOM around .06, it was the first pick in his newer MicroCap newsletter.
NEOM ran to .70+ on overexuberance, whereupon Tobin raised his "buy under" from .50 to .75, of course. NEOM never should have gone there but it was fun.
I pegged NEOM as trading in an ascending channel which a few days ago was bounded by .30 and .475. (I acted accordingly with buys and sells earlier this week, yippee.)
Tobin (whom I view with great disdain, but that's just me) has done a lot of research he says and thinks NEOM's PaperClick is the next great killer app. and that NEOM could go to $5 over time. Tobin came out with an "Alert" email the other day to assure his subscribers that there was nothing wrong at NEOM, just normal profit-taking, that Cornell was not selling (their financier?), and to buy buy buy. The price immediately began to rise, closing in the green after that 23%+ dip to .291.
NEOM is in a patent dispute with Virgin (info on the IHUB board), parties are rumored to be trying to settle, judge just recently extended a hearing to July 27, news of which precipitated the plunge to .30.
Saw that news about patents being upheld in Europe.
MicroPaint seems to be something to generate some cash to fund NEOM's work in PaperClick, JMHO. PaperClick is the BIG potential.
All just FYI in case y'all haven't peeked at it.
My personal view is I'm building a core but trading quite a few as well based on my chart, I'd like to have a million shares for the "potential" ride to $5.
jonesie
p.s. apologies if this info is not presented in board-acceptable format, I'll get better.
NEOM.ob:
Has NEOM already been discussed on this board? I don't want to be redundant. If it hasn't I'll provide a little info/thoughts.
jonesie
I've been accumulating TDYH, looks good.
Heard about it in April on IHUB's SwingTrade board, probably from doubloon?
Have a great day!
jonesie
re: woogs email, not me.
jonesie
OT: glassy, thanks much.
I look forward to your input, including specifics on the move in fast stochastics that would make a good alert.
jonesie
glassy and other TA guys, OT kinda:
About charting. That's a nice chart btw glassy, thanks for posting it.
(For anyone not interested in TA this is probably going to be boring, please skip to the next post lol)
For you and any other TA guys out there, I'm building a chartscript, or series of chartscripts, in Fidelity's WealthLabPro, that will give me a heads up by scanning the charts of 200-400 stocks I like (or am in) every day and telling me when an indicator(s) has given a buy or sell signal.
Right now I've got one running using W%R which I've found to be a pretty good "early warning signal" presaging a move in one direction or the other. I use it on a one year daily chart, but chartscripts can be configured to scan weekly charts as well.
If you were to put together a group of indicators that together you feel have been the most effective in generating good signals, what indicators would you use?
Further, what "move" in those indicators to you like to see?
As an example, with the W%R I have found that when that indicator crosses 80 heading towards 100, then re-crosses 80 going the other way (towards 0), that is a good time to be paying attention with a buy in mind.
At the other end, when W%R has crossed 20 heading towards 0, then re-crosses 20 heading the other way (towards 100), that's a good time to be paying attention with a sell in mind.
That chartscript I've written for W%R looks for those events and signals when the "event" has transpired. Beats the heck out of having to actually look at 400 charts to see these "events", and REALLY beats the heck out of noticing a price move then checking the chart only to find that the "signal" was given 3 days and 10% ago LOL.
Anyway, like I said, I'm looking for input as to "favorite" indicator movements by any of you that you have found are good pre-indicators, as these can all be incorporated into one complex chartscript, or perhaps a series of chartscripts.
As always, knowledge of other variables, upcoming news etc, overrides or modifies the application of pure TA to the buy/sell decision-making process, but it sure helps "me" to quantify this stuff to help take some of the emotion/fear/greed out of the picture.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts and sorry for the lengthy post.
GO NEOM!
jonesie
OT: to those who have emailed me via IHUB's email:
Thanks for the emails/info/thoughts. I guess I need to stop being a cheapskate and pay for the premium service again so I can email back LOL. Meanwhile I do have a valid email address in my profile.
GO NEOM!
jonesie
p.s. Now that NEOM has "confirmed" the ascending trading channel I thought it ought to be in (.30 - .475) by bouncing down off .47 ... I'd sure like to see whatever it takes in the form of news to bust us OUT of that channel. I'd rather see something news-wise to support that breakout too, rather than just another overexuberant runup which inevitably would have to retrace ... again. Patience!
re: 40 emails
LOL, you're going to have to create a NEOM "group" in your email addy list.
jonesie
cabernet, success, thanks for the SHRN info/links.
I'm thinking about buying some this morning.
GO NEOM!
jonesie
cabernet, speaking of SHRN
I've got it in one of my watch lists since I've heard it mentioned here. I have no idea what the connection with NEOM is, poor DD on my part.
Anyway, I use Fidelity's WealthLabPro with some chartscripts I have developed to yell at me when any stock out of about 300 in my watch lists/ports. have indicators moving the way I like them to move.
SHRN was yelling at me on the close today. It was yelling "look at me now, and maybe buy me tomorrow". (I only get end of day signals out of WLP).
So is Shelron something that is connected to NEOM, complimentary to NEOM, or none of the above? Anybody?
I'll have to check back tomorrow for any replies, nodding off here.
GO NEOM!
jonesie
Cool website, thanks.
Great to see the progress report and completion dates.
jonesie
penny, nothin's down .05, what's wrong with you?
Hey, is anyone looking at the size of the trades that were selling it down just a tad now? Tiny little trades, what a joke LOL. 900 shares, 385 shares, then someone gets spooked when they see .38 again.
What a rollercoaster ride!!!!
jonesie
cloud, know what kills me?
Right after buying I had to step out for a coupla hours.
Woulda bought at every penny all the way back up. Didn't expect the rebound that quickly.
Oh well, couldawouldashoulda, didn't HAVE to step out, but did.
GO NEOM!

"Loved buying near .30 just now."
I'm very proud of myself right now. Wanted to puke, resisted the urge, pushed "BUY" instead.
I believe that's the way they say this works.

News, yes, SUPW needs some good news.
So far I'm up 15% in my SUPW so I'm not unhappy. And I've got more shares in SUPW than I've ever had in one single stock before, so I'm excited about the future :)
News, we need some news.
