“Everybody has done stupid things when they are young.”
And when they don't quit? America was placated with Clinton while Gary heart was crucified for the same behavior. Gary Heart because of his philandering was not suitable to run this country while Clinton continued throughout his entire presidency.
"Time to cut the crap and address the real issues."
I agree lets start with the politically and morally correct Liberal Democrats and their revolving door ethics policies....
You first….
Koikaze.. Ignorant doesn't carry negative connotations as you suggest. Despite all the readily available knowledge at my fingertips, I do feel ignorant when it comes to voting, the direction of this country, etc... I know I do not have all the information. And the information that I do have could be wrong.
Here’s this saying out there that goes something like this; The more I learn, the less I know...Or something like that...
Secondly, how many times have I/you been emphatically sure of something, providing what we believe to be an air tight case; only to later find ourselves wrong? Surely ignorance of some fact somehow led us astray.
Third, political obfuscation as a method of attack keeps people ignorant by overloading them with irrelevant tripe as a basis for making decisions.
Finally. Doesn’t matter how superior your intellect is, the wrong information will lead you down the wrong path each and every time. The intellectually superior are just as ignorant as the rest of us.
More of that famous two wrongs make it right from the social libs.
Nosey could you post the link with Pelosi and NAMBLA. I seem to have lost it.
You attack the messenger without refuting his ascertains. How does any of this refute the last post?
If 'he's a liar' is your entire claim, then why the silent treatment on the campaign promises Pelosi (and the rest of the dems) promised but has already reversed before even taking office?
Do I sense a double standard at work here?
What Thomas Jefferson learned
from the Muslim book of jihad
By Ted Sampley
U.S. Veteran Dispatch
January 2007
Democrat Keith Ellison is now officially the first Muslim United States congressman. True to his pledge, he placed his hand on the Quran, the Muslim book of jihad and pledged his allegiance to the United States during his ceremonial swearing-in.
Capitol Hill staff said Ellison's swearing-in photo opportunity drew more media than they had ever seen in the history of the U.S. House. Ellison represents the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota.
The Quran Ellison used was no ordinary book. It once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and one of America's founding fathers. Ellison borrowed it from the Rare Book Section of the Library of Congress. It was one of the 6,500 Jefferson books archived in the library.
Ellison, who was born in Detroit and converted to Islam while in college, said he chose to use Jefferson's Quran because it showed that "a visionary like Jefferson" believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources.
There is no doubt Ellison was right about Jefferson believing wisdom could be "gleaned" from the Muslim Quran. At the time Jefferson owned the book, he needed to know everything possible about Muslims because he was about to advocate war against the Islamic "Barbary" states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli.
Ellison's use of Jefferson's Quran as a prop illuminates a subject once well-known in the history of the United States, but, which today, is mostly forgotten - the Muslim pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and tens of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic "Barbary" states.
Over the course of 10 centuries, Muslim pirates cruised the African and Mediterranean coastline, pillaging villages and seizing slaves.
The taking of slaves in pre-dawn raids on unsuspecting coastal villages had a high casualty rate. It was typical of Muslim raiders to kill off as many of the "non-Muslim" older men and women as possible so the preferred "booty" of only young women and children could be collected.
Young non-Muslim women were targeted because of their value as concubines in Islamic markets. Islamic law provides for the sexual interests of Muslim men by allowing them to take as many as four wives at one time and to have as many concubines as their fortunes allow.
Boys, as young as 9 or 10 years old, were often mutilated to create eunuchs who would bring higher prices in the slave markets of the Middle East. Muslim slave traders created "eunuch stations" along major African slave routes so the necessary surgery could be performed. It was estimated that only a small number of the boys subjected to the mutilation survived after the surgery.
When American colonists rebelled against British rule in 1776, American merchant ships lost Royal Navy protection. With no American Navy for protection, American ships were attacked and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates operating under the control of the "Dey of Algiers"--an Islamist warlord ruling Algeria.
Because American commerce in the Mediterranean was being destroyed by the pirates, the Continental Congress agreed in 1784 to negotiate treaties with the four Barbary States. Congress appointed a special commission consisting of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin, to oversee the negotiations.
Lacking the ability to protect its merchant ships in the Mediterranean, the new America government tried to appease the Muslim slavers by agreeing to pay tribute and ransoms in order to retrieve seized American ships and buy the freedom of enslaved sailors.
Adams argued in favor of paying tribute as the cheapest way to get American commerce in the Mediterranean moving again. Jefferson was opposed. He believed there would be no end to the demands for tribute and wanted matters settled "through the medium of war." He proposed a league of trading nations to force an end to Muslim piracy.
In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.
The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease.
During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."
For the following 15 years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800.
Not long after Jefferson's inauguration as president in 1801, he dispatched a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean, and informed Congress.
Declaring that America was going to spend "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute," Jefferson pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America's best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast.
The USS Constitution, USS Constellation, USS Philadelphia, USS Chesapeake, USS Argus, USS Syren and USS Intrepid all saw action.
In 1805, American Marines marched across the dessert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.
During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.
Jefferson's victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we will fight our country's battles on the land as on the sea."
It wasn't until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates.
Jefferson had been right. The "medium of war" was the only way to put and end to the Muslim problem. Mr. Ellison was right about Jefferson. He was a "visionary" wise enough to read and learn about the enemy from their own Muslim book of jihad.
Did anybody see American Dad last night? Normally I cannot stand that show but they had GW as the special 'guest'.
Boy did the liberal writers do a number on Bush. They even referred to all the secretaries of state in his administration as white...
NovoMira..Jazz I think has a link to a picture where Pelosi is sitting next to the head of NAMBLA during a gay pride parade in sanfransikko. She takes PAC money from child rapists. Why would anyone support that?
"but gotta admit she looks pretty good for a 66-year-old."
How many tax dollars does she spend on facelifts? No wait; she is a multimillionaire vineyard owner. So all her facelifts were paid with tax dollars...lol
Yeah Nova, I agree. I was walking past our computer room and my boy had this blaring full volume. This is what my son is bringing home from school. I don't know weather I should laugh and say boys will be boys or cry at the complete liberal influences he's being indoctrinated with.
One point I think this song is attacking, and correctly so; would be today’s feminization of the American male. Any thoughts?
Social Security siphon
TODAY'S EDITORIAL
January 5, 2007
On its way to bankruptcy, Social Security will get there a bit sooner if President Bush, Republican senators (and prospective presidential candidates) John McCain, Chuck Hagel and Sam Brownback and the overwhelming majority of Democratic senators get their way.
As Stephen Dinan reported in The Washington Times yesterday, the Bush administration has reached an agreement with Mexico that would permit illegal aliens, after they are granted amnesty in the future, to claim Social Security benefits for the work they performed while in the United States illegally, even if the illegal aliens committed felonies by using fraudulent Social Security documents to obtain their jobs.
Using the Freedom of Information Act, the TREA Senior Citizens League, a Social Security advocacy group, recently obtained a document detailing the U.S.-Mexican deal, which was reached in 2004. The agreement has not yet become law. Nor should it.
After signing the agreement, Mr. Bush must then submit it to Congress, which has 60 days to vote it down. It would automatically become law if Congress does not reject it. Opposing this deal should be an easy decision. But last year the Republican-led Senate narrowly rejected an amendment by Sen. John Ensign that would have prevented this travesty.
During the Senate debate on immigration reform in May, Mr. Ensign proposed that no illegal alien whose status would be adjusted by the Senate bill be permitted to receive Social Security benefits as a result of unlawful activity. "There was a felony they were committing, and now they can't be prosecuted" under the terms of the Senate immigration bill, Mr. Ensign argued at the time. "That sounds like amnesty to me." On top of amnesty for the felony, the bill would also grant them Social Security benefits, as would the deal negotiated by the Bush administration with Mexico.
In addition to Messrs. McCain, Hagel and Brownback, other still-serving Republicans who opposed the Ensign amendment, which lost by a 50-49 vote, included Sens. Lindsey Graham, Richard Lugar, Mel Martinez, Arlen Specter, Ted Stevens and George Voinovich.
Beyond the Senate's reckless decision, which the president, we now know, has supported for years, Social Security passed two other worrisome milestones last year. First, the "assets" in the Orwellian-named Social Security trust funds surpassed the $2 trillion level in 2006. Of course, every dime of those trillions will have to be redeemed from general tax revenues when baby boomers, and, if the president gets his way, former illegal aliens begin depleting the trust funds in about 10 years. Second, when Social Security trustees release their annual report this spring, they almost certainly will report that the present value of Social Security's unfunded liabilities now exceeds $5 trillion. It is simply incomprehensible that the president and so many other Republicans want to add to Social Security's $7 trillion fiscal milestone.
What it means to be a Liberal.

You won’t see the mainstream media reporting who Nancy Pelosi is.
By Mick Gregory
I know quite a bit about her, having lived and worked in her San Francisco district. You won’t see the San Francisco Chronicle or New York Times mentioning that she is a multi-millionaire from earnings on her non-union Napa Valley winerey and resort hotel. Yet, the soon-to-be-crowned Speaker, gets one of the largest shares of union campaign money.
Your 68-year-old grandmother hasn’t spent as much on her home as 68-year-old Nancy Pelosi has on facelifts.
Democrats are America’s neo-progressives, better known as socialists. I lived in Nancy Peloci’s San Francisco, where transsexuals are given special status along with all the other classes of minorities and the city is a “sactuary city” for illegals.
Do you think I am exagerating? Progressive Democrats are America’s Democrat/Socialists — Google it for yourself. Why doesn’t the LA Times with it’s 950-person newsroom devote an afternoon of a reporter’s time to check into this?
Socialism in America is growing. Aided by such influential Congressmen as John Conyers, Ranking Member of the House Judicial Committee, and the one who will start impeachment proceedings against George Bush in the coming months. Nancy Pelosi is one of the stars of the nearly 60 other Democrats advancing socialism in America behind the “Progressive” label.
Here are a few excerpts taken directly from the web page of the Democratic Socialists of America.
“The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International. DSA’s members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in American communities and politics.
“At the root of our socialism is a profound commitment to democracy, as means and end. We are activists committed not only to extending political democracy but to demanding democratic empowerment in the economy, in gender relations, and in culture. Democracy is not simply one of our political values but our means of restructuring society. Our vision is of a society in which people have a real voice in the choices and relationships that affect the entirety of our lives. We call this vision democratic socialism - a vision of a more free, democratic and humane society.
0. We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.
0. We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships.”
Here is what “Liberty” looks like to a socialist:
“A democratic commitment to a vibrant pluralist life assumes the need for a democratic, responsive, and representative government to regulate the market, protect the environment, and ensure a basic level of equality and equity for each citizen. In the 21st century, such regulation will increasingly occur through international, multilateral action. But while a democratic state can protect individuals from domination by inordinately powerful, undemocratic transnational corporations, people develop the social bonds that render life meaningful only through cooperative, voluntary relationships. Promoting such bonds is the responsibility of socialists and the government alike.
“The social welfare programs of government have been for the most part positive, if partial, responses to the genuine social needs of the great majority of Americans. The dismantling of such programs by conservative and corporate elites in the absence of any alternatives will be disastrous. Abandoning schools, health care, and housing, for example, to the control of an unregulated free market magnifies the existing harsh realities of inequality and injustice.”
The action agenda posted on the socialists’ web site very closely parallels Agenda 21, and the recommendations of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development. The web site boasts the creation of the “Progressive Caucus” in Congress, as well as the coalition that is working to promote the socialist agenda in Congress.
Now you know that the third person in line for the Presidency is a socialist.
Secret Service, please make sure that President Bush and Dick Chaney are not ever again with in a mile of each other for the next two years.
Imagine this, the Democrats impeach George Bush for invading Iraq, Dick Cheney becomes president, he dies of a heart attack within weeks because of his spike in blood pressure. Nancy Pelosi becomes the first women President of the United States, and another first of much more import, America’s first Progressive Democrat president.

Majority of Americans View Media Coverage of Iraq as Inaccurate
Most likely to say coverage is too negative
by Frank Newport
A majority of Americans believe the news media's coverage of the situation in Iraq is generally inaccurate. Among this group, the majority says the inaccuracy is in the direction of presenting too negative a picture. Two-thirds of Republicans say the media's portrayal of the situation in Iraq is biased toward being too negative. The majority of Democrats say news coverage of Iraq is generally accurate.

If this video is authentic I really want to see the faces of those legislatures and how they responded to her telling them as it is.
Our second amendments rights are to protect us against a despotic government.
LOL hardly. I was an enigma; a pot smoking conservative. Clean cut, shaven and always on time; you'd never suspect in a million years.
"I don't take kindly to drug abusin'...."
Yeah well neither do I....anymore.
Question: You ever get drunk? Had too much coffee and gotten wired for sound? I find myself unable to throw bricks at recreational abusers.
Yes Steph I admit to hate. I hate a lot of things. Killers rapists, murders, hippies, corrupt governments, spam, political tyrants, eggplant,...you know the usual.
"will I be able to gain respect for you "
That’s your choice not mine. I have no hate towards you Steph; never had. Do I like or agree with your political beliefs, no. But in no way do I hate you for having them.
I think that is the real difference between us.
would homeland security (gestapo ) want the banks not to let the people have their gold and jewelry out of their safety deposit boxes?
Is there anyway you can expand on this?
Are you having the audacity to admit you hate? Finally a person I can respect...
Nothing so sinister Mr. Wizard,
Truth be told, I started smoking cigs to cover the smell of pot during class. Believe me you need to be high when sitting in class listening to your liberal educator spend her time spewing her personal politics rather than educating you. Class became a complete joke when we were assigned a paper on the ramifications should our current president be assassinated.
anyway
Quit smoking the pot but never gave up the smokes. Oh well one vice at a time. It's funny though, when I'm out hunting I don't smoke at all and I don't have the urge to either.
Nice words of love easy.
What I need is a cigarette. Care to join me. lol see I go outside my office building( that I own) so that others don’t have to share in my bad habits. I’m a mean old bastard.
By the way do you advocate the penalization of humans under the Kyoto accord for the methane contained in their flatulence?
Guess not then. Too bad.
Was that a compliment Steph ;}~ I'm giddy.
Could this be any more true today?
"Communism or more accurately, socialism, is not a movement of the downtrodden masses, but of the economic elite."
Gary Allen, Author "
daytraderkidd..is civil discourse possible with you?
Quite the contrary thank you. The second I stopped thinking like a liberal, prosperity on every level followed.
I'll stick with proven results thank you. And you must be a happy little clam inside your shell correct?
Like I said Steph you side with people whom hate. What makes you any different?
You didn't call Limbaugh a pig and berate his drug problems? Hmm I must have misread you I'm sorry...
"What a pig .. !! .. take some more drugs .. viagra + oxycon -- whatever it is .. sheesh .. !!! .." Steph
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=15844609
Well I also see you couldn't respond to me without more hate and insults. I asked you politely not to, but hey I guess I'm not worthy of civil discourse. It's cause I'm a conservative isn't it?
Oh well I guess in order to be your friend I must conceal all my beliefs and pretend to be something I’m not. That’s ok; I get the same from the neocons as you put it. Why should I expect anything different from the neocrats.
Ho Ho, ha ha, he he you one funny guy wizard.
I'm fine girl, just trying to figure out how you don't practice hate that's all.
You say you don't, but every action says you do. You align yourself with people that would discriminate upon ideology alone. You are on a daily tirade against the Bush admin. You are silent when others on this board suggest death to all conservatives. And you always side with one political ideologue while simultaneously attacking all other ideologues on the other side of the political pendulum.
Tell me in your own words, with no insults my way; how is it that you don't have a hateful bone in your body.
BTW my original point still stands. We were having a cordial nonpartisan conversation until you came forth with your hatred for Savage and “that pig” Limbaugh. And now we don't.
Or was it love for Savage and “that pig” Limbaugh? I don’t really know what the modern definition of Liberal love is anymore; a sledgehammer against a conservatives head?
I hope you’re still smiling though. It releases endorphins into the blood stream. If you smile or even laugh hard enough you might get one of them thar spontaneous orgasms. That’d really make your day now wouldn’t it.
Hoping the best for ya!
No I'm an evil compassionless bastard didn't ya know.
Oh I'm sorry, you like and agree with these 'hate mongers' then. OK now we know.
Um keep on keepen on then girl.
Didn't you say you hated the people that sling hate? Hate begets hate begets hate etcetera........I thought someone of your higher intellect and morality would already know this.
Huh.
Try and smile girl, I sense angst and pain within your posts.
