Any takers?
IPO date is Friday, 9 May.
Relevant question regarding the percentage share. I wasn't able to find any concrete figures in their public reports. We might have to contact their IR department to find out more.
With regard '3D printing' vs. 'additive manufacturing', it seems to me that Renishaw rather follows a down-to-earth approach by integrating the technology into their traditional engineering/manufacturing business. I like that approach.
By the way, if you browse through the EOS website, you won't find the term '3D printing' mentioned anywhere.
EOS CEO: company will remain private
Founder and CEO says that EOS Group will remain private. IPOs of certain parts of the company (e.g. medical products) may be possible though.

Closing auction price of 2162 should be a new all-time high! Strong volume today. Wonder what's going on.
Thanks, roysh, for mentioning Renishaw - the UK's only manufacturer of an additive manufacturing machine that prints metal parts - in the AFRMF board two weeks ago

Disclaimer: I am long LPKF.
please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Directed MFG (RTI's recent acquisition) manufactures 3d printers. From what I see, they are 'just' a service provider.
Shares are also listed in Frankfurt and Stuttgart with bid/ask spreads between 2 and 6 percent:

Renishaw looks interesting indeed. Just read through their annual report. Solid numbers and - in my opinion - bright prospects regarding their additive manufacturing business with the integration of German LBC GmbH.
Bought a few shares this morning. Can't believe I didn't have them on the radar so far.
Here we go. Axxion Funds sold all their shares:

This article receives my full support. The author correctly states that Alphaform has suffered from bad management and as a consequence has been a "destroyer of value". I wouldn't know how to come to a different conclusion when looking at their numbers.
Gary claims in post #1637 that "this CEO is no dummy". Hmm... He might be right when it comes to the US listing of the stock - there's a great chance that US investors will provide Alphaform with the capital (EUR 10M ?) it needs for the planned restructuring; frustrated German investors would probably not have invested any additional money into the company.
This case seems to me like an analogy to what was called "stupid German money" 10 years ago, just that the money is now flowing into the opposite direction. Sorry, now I am cynical.
ok, I don't believe in the restructuring story, but I guess time will tell.
Last comment: Close Brothers Seydler is Alphaform's "designated sponsor" on the German exchanges, so their analyses might not be as neutral as they should be.
well, if this thing will fly, it is due to (artificial) demand from US traders, not due to fundamentals.
They just announced a loss of "at least" 2.5 million Euros for 2013 - twice as high as expected.
Regarding their 3D printing activities, the CEO says that their printers are not state of the art and are thus not cost-efficient.
They will have to invest about 10 million Euros into new machines in order to get back on track. They don't have 10 million Euros, thus they will have to ask the market for it; this means dilution.
The stock price dropped 15% after their announcement on Monday, so I think the market got it right.
Anyway, good luck.
Alphaform provides 3D printing services, they don't develop or manufacture 3D printers.
And it seems that they are not doing so well as a service provider. They have published very disappointing earnings figures over the last quarters and are now expecting a loss of 2.5 million Euros for 2013.

EuroMold 2013, Frankfurt - anyone attending?
Only my second post on this board, but I've been following the discussions for quite a while. I'm quite heavily invested in the sector with AMAVF, DDD, PRLB, SGLB, SSYS and VJET as current holdings. Furthermore, I initiated small positions in LPKF Laser & Electronics (http://www.lpkf.com/) and Realtime Technology (http://www.rtt.ag/en/) last week.
As most of these companies will be represented at EuroMold 2013 (http://www.euromold.com/), I thought I should take the opportunity and inspect their products in real life So I just booked my ticket for December 5. Is anyone else planning to be around and up to meet for lunch?
