I think you are neglecting to take into account a big difference in the two stocks and that is the share structure. The samll size of the float in REX creates much more volitility. If your a trader you like this. It goes up fast, but is also falls fast.
It is my opinion that rex was nearing full value when it reached over $100, $120 my have been a little over valued, so that puts us in a good spot, once botom is comfirmed load up and enjoy a quick ride back up to $100.
Had to sticky this post. It says it all, and reflects my sentiments exactly. Don't try to catch a falling knife.
Very true Malc, it's called TOXIC financing for a reason. If your exposed to it for a long period of time, it will eventually kill you. NBRI needs to find away out of this current funding delemma.
Thanks for your input Value 1008, I am just going by the support areas, an it looks like REX will start to get support around there.
I am looking for re-entry, I have a target price of $75, I think I can be back in by the end of the week.
Shake out is over....up from here...Nice!!!
Morning sell off, followed by afternoon recovery. How many times have we seen this before? LOL
Nice going!!you jinxed it. LOL Normal sell off on low volume going in to ER. good luck everyone.
Glad to hear your going to be OK Cee-it, we miss your word of wisdom on this board.
I never have a problem with rounding up, so I will say good call on the $91 close. The big question is where are we going today? I'm hoping we close over $96
Aren't we overdue for a Beacon Rock Research update report? We haven't heard from them since Nov 11, 2013. It would be nice to hear their take, and maybe help bring in some new money.
Another good article about alternative energy, including Ethanol. It doesn't mention REX put it does talk about PEIX

Thanks I had a limit order in @ 87.45, in didn't fill for awhile, ended up going market order and filled 87.65
How many times have we seen the logobots, sell this thing off in the morning, only to see it get bought back in the afternoon?
I took this oppurtunity to add another block of shares at 87.65 If we do see it drop to the 50 DMA I will and more
Yes I did, sold all between 95 & 96, got back in at 90.
Value 1008 you are exactly right again my friend. $1.175 is the average number and if you look at this next link you will see that due to lagistics, REX margins whould be closer to $1.24 to $1.27. If we use 55 million gallons that should give us $1.25 X 55 million gallons = $68,750,000 in profit from ethanol production.

It may be luck, but thats twice now I've done that. If you recall I called the market correction about one month after the last ER also. One thing we both know is that this stock still has a lot further to climb before it reaches it's true value.
If you read this post on 8/15/2014, I said buy at $90, WOW am I good????????.....No just lucky. LOL
Heck I just notice theres a gap up to $102 that needs to be filled, This is a great play just on that alone. buy here at $95 and sell at $102 would make a nice short term trade.
Why do people still read the damm Old Farmer almunac? Hog wash!!
On this post I predicted a 10% pull back prior to going in to ER. The peak was a little higher than I had anticipated, but I was correct on the 10% pullback.
Strong accumulation going on now, this will recover fast and will go well over $100 after ER. I still like Value1008's call for a pps of $140.
This stock has a buy rating as far as I am concerned. There is no such thing a a sure thing, but this is pretty darn close.
You may be right, I may need to adjust that upward to $90
I can't help but ask,"Is there really any volume here?" I can't help but think that this is just MM's trading shares back and forth trying to gain interest, in order to get rid of any remaining shares prior to going to no bid.
This is all good news.....but I'm afraid that doesn't always translate to good things in the short term. I am profit taking and many others will be too. I have noticed and increased daily short interest and I feel we are in for a quick 10% correction again.
This is natuaral going in to an Earnings Report. I am going to use this to my advantage and sell here and buy on the dip. My target price is $85 to $87 GLTA
The market knows why they increased the O/S, nothing new here. I am not surprised that we are still sideways, waiting for news. This is a roulette wheel, everyone place your bets, red or black.....make that Red or Gold, LOL Go NBRI
I worked half a day, so I only played 9, shot a 43 though, so I guess we kind of tied!! LOL, Without any reall news any jump in pps will be short lived, as long as we have dilution floating over our heads, so take profits my friend.
I am hoping for the catalyst that dilution is over, thats when this puppy does what most here think will happen, but that is going to take awhile.
I have a large core position, trade half, long the other.
I holed out from the fairway on Wednesday for the first time ever. Hopefully NBRI can hole out from the black channel. LOL
GLTU
Usually I reply to a post imediatly after reading it, only to find that further up the thread it has already been stated. For once I read all the posts first.
Malc, I know what you mean about too many cheerleaders and I really liked the way Foxwoods put it in this post.

This has been a nice pause in REX pps, accumulation with a upward trending PPS is a very bullish sign. I agree, once this accumulation is done, it should take the next step up into the mid to high 90's.
I am looking to do some profit taking which I think I can do at around $97 sometime in the next couple of weeks, and will buy back on the dips.
Accumulation with upward trending PPS is a very bullish sign. Go NBRI!!!
We are in agreement. Bottom is not confirmed but it has lots of support directly below. With pending catalyst, it's time to buy.
True, and that is a possibility with every investment someone makes. It is that risk, that inables one to reap rewards. The greater the risk, the higher the reward. Yes, there is a lot of risk here. Longs believe that NBRI success is Feasible.
True,he may find himself buying at .09 instead of .009 you never know. When you find a company worth investing in. You dollar cost average your way in, via up or down. When you've established your position, it's like planting a tree, just sit back and watch it grow.
You may be right. I am not an expert on the working of the SEC, but In my workings with other government agencies, it is not unheard of for someone to ask that you table a request, until a future date, rather then have to file for withdrawal and start all over again.
I'm not saying they want to withdrawal, they are just going to wait before executing it. They know NBRI pps is going to rebound soon. When production starts in the black channel the pps will go back up and then they will do the spin off.
No info on the RGI spin off has been put out by the company. I speculate that the decline in NBRI pps has put the spin off on hold for now. Shares of RGI would be 000's and would not be able to raise enough money for funding operations.
Another point on the advantage of a dividend, not that it really applies to REX now. Dividend would also help deter someone from trying to esstablish a large short position. With a small float like REX, shorts could do a lot of damage, but with a pps as high as ours, it is not likely.
ditto on the dividend comment. when you have margins that are contingent on variables beyond your control. It would not be a good idea to establish a dividend, only setting yourself up for failure in the futures, when corn prices go back up.
