You guys. I would like to invite you all to calm the f*** down.
What I've learned from listening to everyone bicker is that clearly none of you have ever tried to build a computer game. Do you have any idea how difficult it is, how many people it takes, how much time it takes to test? The answer to all of those questions is "a lot". If this dude Mitchell is doing it all himself, I would say it's a fools errand, and if Microsoft is doing it, I would say give them some damn time.
All of you are looking for this thing to shoot up instantly...I guess that's what penny stocks are for for most people. I seem to remember that Microsoft CONFIRMED their press release, so other than frustration, what more is there?
Of course I have nothing really at risk because I bought in when the thing was at practically $.0000 and I do sympathize with those of you who bought in before the most recent R/S at like $1. Ouch, I'm sorry.
But yeah, calm down! GLTA.
I could be wrong about this so please correct me if that's the case, but I just looked at the blackberry stuff and I don't think that's WRIT. There's a difference between "Amiga, Inc." and "Amiga Games, Inc.". The latter is owned by WRIT, the former isn't. So while Amiga games, inc claims the rights to hundreds of titles, their privileges don't extend to ALL Amiga games, as some are owned by Amiga, Inc., and those are the ones that are on blackberry's market right now.
No reason for alarm, it's coming out soon I'm sure, just in the interest of public discourse...
This is why they have "all or none" orders, friends.
I would be absolutely with you, except for the (not so little) fact that the company is entirely different now. I mean, new management, new goals, new financing, there's really new everything. Nothing is the same as 3 years ago except the name.
The reason nobody's buying now is, as you've said, that there's no proof they're going to be profitable yet. But they just took a huge loan and have been hiring people, have new subsidiaries...something is obviously brewing and to deny it is foolish, in my opinion. Only a matter of time before they have some revenue and release a quarterly to show it.
Sucks that you were here a few years ago, but I really wish you'd stop comparing the WRIT of then to the WRIT of now. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but it's practically a new company.
Is it that you don't believe the press releases are real? What is it that turns you off so much about the progress this company is making? Or said differently, what makes you think that this company is making no progress?
Exactly. There have been so many of these sorts of buys over the last couple of weeks, you wonder what's going on. My guess is someone's not buying "all or none", so they might want to buy lets say 1,000,000 at .0002 but are getting 20,000 at .0001 because someone idiot out there is selling 20,000 at .0001. just a thought.
If I had bought in (in 2011, it would appear) at 14 cents like you did, I would be equally frustrated. I don't blame you. But one could argue that this company is entirely different from what it was when you bought in - new management, new focus, new assets, new goals, hell new subsidiaries, you name it. All just my opinion, etc. etc., but you can't keep comparing this company, what it was when you bought in, to what it is now. jmho.
13,100 shares x $.0002 = $2.62. Why? What purpose does this serve, for whoever is piddling away commission fees.
I think to a certain extent rexley is right...if anyone is planning or hoping to make millions (I mean "millions" literally), they're probably delusional. But I think it's foolish to think this stock couldn't get back up to .005-.01 at some point in the near future, so gains of "thousands" are much more realistic - that's why I'm in this anyway.
I agree, it may not be until the first quarterly report of 2014 that we see revenues. It depends on when these games actually get released, tough to tell when that will be, they've only said "in time for the holiday season 2013", but IMO revenues are coming, and you're missing a huge opportunity if you don't buy in here.
Just have some patience all.
Only thing WRIT needs to run is a quarterly report showing revenues, shouldn't be too far away.
IMO, it's absolutely realistic to believe that anyone who buys in here is going to at least triple their investment. They'll just have to wait a couple of months for revenues to reflect on quarterly reports. It's definitely possible this will get into the pennies by early next year. Depends how much money they make, and what their plans are for sustaining growth after the release of Amiga games.
Revenue is really the only missing piece IMHO, but considering they didn't promise Microsoft the games until December we probably still have a ways to go, just IMO. But hard to even consider that this isn't going to grow from where it is now.
I agree - this is absolute speculation but I expect they're going to need to hire some top-notch computer programmers (which don't come cheap nowadays), and perhaps they're going to try to buy up the rights to games they don't currently own but have potential for reworking. Just thinking out loud.
Ah I see what you mean - I could be wrong but I don't think those are being sold by Amiga/WRIT. Click on the games from the main menu to see the details, they're all being sold by other people/companies. Not sure, maybe Amiga lost the rights to those particular games sometime in the past or maybe they're spinoffs.
They are? I looked on my iphone app store when I bought weeks ago but couldn't find any...maybe I was being dumb? What titles?
As for video games, I don't think so. Everything I've seen has been "to be released in time for the holidays". They have had a couple of other projects like that Brazil in 3D project which might be bringing in money but probably nowhere near the level that the Amiga games will bring in once they're out.
I don't think it'll see any revenues before any releases, unless it signs a concert deal or something completely different. That's why I keep saying anyone expecting to make money overnight with this is crazy.
The last two posts are absolutely correct. If you got in at .14 then I understand pain/frustration, but getting in here at .0002-.0004 seems like a no-brainer. New management that is obviously making the right moves and money getting ready to come in. How much money? Who knows at this point, but it'll be *something*, so this is a very low-risk investment if you're looking long. Of course, there will be pump and dumps along the way, just ignore them and wait a few more months. Even if this reaches back up to .14, let's say, there will probably still be pump and dumps, it's a pink. But, it'll be pump and dumps at that level, not this one, so still little risk. And does anyone think this is going to go anywhere lower than .0002 anytime soon? No chance.
Patience, team, patience.
Not sure to whom you're referring, but I got in at .0002, could double my investment at this point. But I won't, I'll wait until it's much higher in 2014, after the holiday season and they have some revenue. Not really risking that much, and neither are people who got in at .0009-.001 unless they're really strapped for cash (how much lower can this go?). That's why this is a strong long hold. Maybe it'll go back down to .0001-.0002 in the meantime, but it'll grow with time.
Precisely. This is exactly what I've been saying. Anyone looking for a huge bump in the next couple of weeks is going to be sorely disappointed, but this will definitely be WAY higher 6 months or a year from now, particularly if the revenue projections in the latest press release are anywhere near accurate. .0004 is an extremely good deal for someone looking long.
Be patient! WRIT might have enough money after a few months to pay off its debt. You're not going to win overnight with this company, but you will long-term.
My guess is that the next big news we'll hear will be Amiga on AAPL platforms, and I'm sure before too long (within two weeks, maybe?). It's on pretty much every platform except AAPL, no reason to expect it won't show up there soon.
Everyone needs to chill...the people who will make money from WRIT are the people who are willing to stick it out long-term. Amiga games on all of these platforms mean actual revenue will be coming in, and we won't know how much until after the holiday season. But, the company will actually have money coming in which is more than they could say for a long time before now. Maybe it's because I got in at .0002 so I don't really risk losing *that* much money, but I think that in a few months WRIT will inspire confidence in investors and it'll really pick up. The company might even have enough to buy off all of its debt and maybe Asher will be out. It you're looking for a quick penny, you'll have to play the pump and dumps, but if you have a couple of months or a quarter to wait, I think you'll see huge returns based on the merits of a company that is clearly making the right moves.
