ajtj: I am seeing a lot of H&S top formations on the 5-min charts, but these could also be bullish consolidations as well.
Hmmmm, that statement just doesn't work for me...
Taxpayer (those of us that actually pay this Nation's bills) backed mortgages insure sub prime lending can be resumed...sigh!

The minority that pays this country's bills has lost control and will never get back. The minority waited too long to get up off its ass. The non taxpaying majority is more than content to have the minority pay for everything and will continue to demand more and more wealth redistribution. And, our political elites are more than happy to accommodate to garner the non taxpaying minority vote...
Harleyboy: What an idiot, but then he's always been a idiot. The Democratic Fascist Party is salt and peppered with these idiots.
jdaasoc: Absolutely...
michael03332002: Here is an ALERT for ALL Texans...
IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS, GET OFF YOUR ASS AND HELP STOP PUPPY MILLS...MAKE A FEW CALLS...

dhwco: Seeing that you made it onto the board without a shareholder vote, just like the rest of the BOD, one would expect the first thing on your agenda would be to finally give the share holders a voice by having a share holders meeting ASAP so they can finally vote for the very first time on the BOD or anything for that matter?
Ek: I don't track the SRS, if it is getting OB, I would suggest you tighten up your trailing stops to preserve a profit.
michael03332002: Wow Mr "Big Bamboo"...gg
You were probably a competitor back during the days when Texas high school track and field included the men’s individual three legged race until it was eventually dropped due to life style threatening injuries.
ajtj: That is the nice thing about these new 2X and 3X ETFs. One can have a nice day even when the broader averages only oscillate slowly in the expected direction.
Trading the SKF with a long bias today. Let's see if the SPY will dropped below Wednesday's low. If so, it should drag the Financials lower with it. However, I do expect a bounce from this initial test, given the intraday oversold condition...
MBP: Years ago, I opined about two major advancements for humankind. Before the Flowbee was introduced via infomercial in the eighties, after experiencing one bad hair cut after another, I opined to my wife, that what I needed was a way to vacuum up my hair while regulating the length to some electric blades. Sadly I did not act, but have been the proud owner of a Flowbee since the late eighties.
About the same time, I also opined to my wife that eventually energy would be delivered to earth cheaply and cleanly after the world deployed a series of super satellites to gather the suns energy and then laser beam the collected energy back to earth to a series of worldwide distribution centers.
While I could have invented the Flowbee, the second epiphany was and remains a little out of my area of expertise.
I am looking forward to the day when cheap clean energy collected from the Sun at the edge of earth's atmosphere is beamed back to all.
MBP: Teleportation will revolutionize the world with low cost instant travel. Later computer manipulation will be introduced into the reconstitution process at neighborhood new era plastic surgery clinics. Our bodies will be disassembled for transportation and then reconstituted with changes pre determined by the patient. Cancer will be a thing of the past as will all ailments, as they will simply be removed during the reconstitution process.
Ultimately all men will resemble Brad Pit and will be hung like Johnny Wad Holmes. All women will ultimately resemble Angelina Jolie with breast ranging from Pammy cups to Dolly mounds.
Individual identity will become harder and harder to discern, so the new World Government will order that everyone have a number discretely tattooed on their forehead.
Each number will start with 666.
Remember you read it here first...
RCKS: Well no time for a video, but I decided to pose for a picture for you and ajtj. Reading between the lines, I could tell ajtj really wanted to see me in my thong. His "blowing groceries" comment was just a subliminal covering up his secret desire to have a thong of his very own...gg
mvp: I don't know of anyone that thinks the myths in your signature are true.
Here's a myth for you: You can develop a black box system that will consistently build your portfolio over an extended period of time (many years) with only a reasonable percentage of losing trades and portfolio regression.
blind squirrel: Here's you a pic for your profile...
RCKS: Now that "is" a scary thought...gg
ajtj: Relax...I was just kidding. I can't wear a thong swim suit for the same reason many Texans can't wear bermuda shorts...gg
omandan: You young kids
Thanks for that gramps...gg
Day trading for the individual investor really did not exist before the advent of the PC, but for a very few wanting to day trade and who lived near a brokerage equipped like the one you attended.
Now that you have me feeling young, I am going to take that gag Christmas gift (thong swim suit), put it on, go to a pool and blind a few folks. Who knows I might be categoried as a WMD...gg
ajtj: Well after having provided my first and most likely my last "map" publicly, in fairness I should note, I don't actually trade maps, not even my own, I defer to my MTFA. But the exercise was fun...gg
If a rare ARC pattern materializes, I keep an eye on them...
JTS1: I was with DLJ (PCFN) only long enough to execute one trade online. I made a day trade long purchase and when I went to take profits the online service kept rejecting my order to sell. At first for a while, I thought I was doing something wrong. When the trade eventually began to go south on me I called and was told I could not buy and sell in the same day online. So, I told them to sell immediately at the market to get me out.
I was so pissed, I immediately closed my account while I was still on the phone with the broker. Once the funds were back in my hands I opened another online brokerage account with a new online brokerage at the time...E*Trade. It sure beat making calls to the brokerages for each order and the commission were getting lower and lower...gg
ajtj: Well I am hoping Wells Fargo survives. They pioneered online banking and their current online banking and bill pay is the best I've seen and I've seen more than a few. I started using them through Prodigy in the mid to late eighties, still in the DOS days. Prodigy used to be "the" portal to the internet, initially a joint venture between Sears and IBM.
Of course, AOL with its mass mailing of CD's with images to upload, took over the lead because in those days everyone was using dial-up and having most of the images already loaded on your PC made the experience much faster.
Prodigy also offered the first online brokerage which was initially through Wells Fargo. When Wells Fargo got out of the brokerage business, the accounts were transferred to DLJ.
Of course Wells Fargo eventually got back into the brokerage business, they have WellsTrade now...
JO: So your message is, you buy at the swing lows and sell at the swing highs or you sell short at the swing highs and cover at the swings lows or both and it really does not matter what the larger trend is because you are a scalp trader and NEVER EVER hold a trade or investment over night.
Have I got that right?
ajtj: We've dramatically reduced our exposure at WFC, which still remains our primary. Redistributing bank account funds has become a juggling act. Or, maybe better said musical chairs...sigh!
RCKS: 33
phill: Wow, the guy knew his stuff. He will be missed...sigh!
He was one of the good guys..
ItsAllCyclical: The bearish pennant, has already had a negative break. Keep an eye on it to make sure it is not just morphing into a bearish flag.
Out of here, my portfolios are howling...
jjkirk: Good man...
When the majority no longer pays taxes, they no longer have a problem with how high the taxes are or how much is spent. In fact, they demand more spending, as they want the government to provide them more.
Our Government will continue to cater to the non tax paying majority in an effort to secure their vote. For our political elite, it is about power, control and self enrichment.
It will end badly...sigh!
ItsAllCyclical: On your five minute chart, try drawing a bearish pennant starting with the intraday pivot low around noon thirty Central Time for the support line. (Try using the SPY, since it is actually traded.)
A break to the norm or a negative break should provide you with the clue you seek...grasshopper.
ajtj: POT has the potential to hit $116.29 by sometime next week.
Wow the price has come all the way back down to the per pound pricing of the seventies...gg
Correction to my one and only map...
SPY 86/85 by tomorrow or Friday, after an intraday consolidation. The Dow Transports which have been leading the way are getting a bit oversold on an intraday basis
Then next week, sideways consolidation for around four trading days and then a 76% retrace of this drop over around four trading days (another lure) before the SPY begins a wide swinging decline over approximately 18/20 trading days to the 75/74 area.
Its the new math, it gives me problems...gg
If this works out, a jackass for everyone...
Correction...the Sunset Pub was in Sunset Beach.
ajtj: I use Tax Cut and have since Tobias' first introduced it. After making the ownership rounds H&R Block owns it. I use TradeLog for the Schedule D-1s. Then I pay a CPA to put his stamp on everything.
There used to be a good reggae band that often played at the Sunset Pub in Sunset Strip, before they closed the place down years ago. Sunday's at 3 PM was usually jazz as I recall. Nice cold beer and no cover charge and just a modest walk from our dock.
Of course in the spring and summer jazz on the patio was always fun at Magnolia’s Peach Sunday afternoons as well. We loved those pictures of peach daiquiris and free fries...gg
rich ruscio: Well that was most likely my first and last one of those. Squiggly lines has more than paid the bills for over two decades now. I think I'll stick with what works for "yours truly"...gg
You should try the 25 tick candle charts, then you can become more than a "scalp trader" you can become a "rabbit trader"..gg
ajtj: Not playing it, the IRS has me after over twenty plus years of not, back to smoking it...gg
I am thinking about changing my last name to Geithner to garner better treatment...
The G would still work with that...LOL
TREND1: I appreciate that...LOL
ajtj: SPY 87/86 by tomorrow or Friday, after a brief intraday rise. The Dow Transports which have been leading the way are getting a bit oversold on an intraday basis.
Then next week, narrow sideways oscillation for a day or two and then a 76% retrace of this drop over a couple of trading days or so (another lure) before the SPY begins a wide swinging decline over approximately 10 trading days to the 75/74 area.
How's that for my first try at a map...gg

andiron: Smoke'em if you got'em. States are going to start looking at legalizing it, they need the tax revenue...
rr: Yeah, that's it...
snootmagruder: I am sure they are there, I just can't seem them in your post, they are chopped off and I was just kidding with you...
TREND1: The %D should be 3 to tighten up the crosses. I use different settings. Trading on stoch crosses is not the best way to use the stochastic indicator....IMNSHO
