Yes. It is at its lowest just before going to bed. It was a variety of numbers in the morning ranging from 8.0 to 9.1. My graph of expected CURA score is working fine. It is predicting my alertness all through the day. My score changes all day long. High in the morning and lowest just before bedtime.
Yes. Retired. Not a lot of exercise. My wife says I’m a sedentary retiree. I do take a nap almost every day. That’s why I noticed no change in the score after a nap. Admittedly, I am probably not a good candidate to test. That’s why I was hesitant to report. Someone here should call DK with any questions now or wait until the annual meeting. I am hardly a good company spokesperson. I do think the most important numbers are the morning score and the score after someone proves to their company that they took a nap.
I’m not sure. Maybe. But my only complaint was that you didn’t get a nap upgrade. That’s one of the reasons that I called DK. I think it will be a useful tool after they add that.
IMO the CURA score does not change throughout the day; just in the morning. According to DK, the company that developed the app is working to make it possible to improve your score after a nap. Please call DK for any further explanation.
IMO, this is what has happened. DK comes in maybe 6 or 7 years ago and treats the company as though it’s a startup. I know, I know. It’s not really a startup. We all know it was started 20 years ago and many of you have had a bad experience so far. However, Torvec was almost out of cash and new cash was needed. So for all practical purposes, it became a startup. The differential was put on the shelf and the pump and watch became the company. So far, since DK took over, he’s raised roughly $ 16 million (ballpark). That’s not a not of money for a “startup.” If he has to raise more when it might be needed, I’m confident he will. I used to think the company might be on life support but now see it as just lean and mean. I think DK is smart as well as being responsible by looking out for ALL the stockholders. Don’t dilute until you must.
Amen, brother. It’s a process that must happen and not a date on the calendar. I truly believe it will happen; particularly the pump.
Can you imagine what happens if we can get some real interest in this company?
One additional piece of information that DK mentioned was that there is a requirement that if a publicly traded company does not have a year’s working capital, a statement to that effect must be disclosed in the financial statements. He made that known to the RBJ people before the most recent article was printed.
I just got off the phone with DK. I had a few questions about the app as well as the PR campaign. He was very candid and never evaded any question that I had. He gave me permission to share the conversation. I had thought that the app prediction curve was a future prediction of when I would be tired. It is not. It is a prediction of when my alertness would be degrading. In other words, at some point in the day, I might not be too tired to drive, but I shouldn’t be driving due to decreased alertness. This is a function of the technology and use of the Circadian rhythm. This makes the MyCadian app different from what is out there now. I had a question about naps and the app. It doesn’t give credit for a nap but he said they are working on making the app so that it does. He estimates that will take a few weeks, but we shouldn’t hold him to the exact time. It’s a ballpark figure (my comment; not his.) You never know when problems will arise. The PR campaign has just started. There will be many more interviews in the coming weeks. He said the Chedder interview was not sharp because he had trouble staring at a split screen with him on one side and the interviewers on the other. There was also a 5 or more second delay. He was looking down because the screen and delay were too distracting. He did not have or use any notes. He read some of the comments and suggestions on the ihub. He will use some of them in the future (ie possible makeup...he has worn makeup in the past for some interviews). I told him that some worry that we might run out of money before we have meaningful sales. He said that he doesn’t want any more money than they need. In past endeavors, the more money they had, the more money they spent. It is also less dilution if they raise less money. He said that raising money in the future should not (should not; not would not. My comment) be a problem. I asked about pitching CurAegis to new investors. He said he would be doing that someday, but not until there are meaningful sales. He called it a “road trip”. He told me, or anyone on the ihub, to call him any time with any question. He would prefer it if all the ihub people gave their questions to one representative so that he wouldn’t be bombarded with phone calls. BTW, he only reads the ihub when someone tells him that he needs to read a particular post. That’s it. JR
Agreed, Dino. I’m more interested in if the PR concept of these media outlets gets something started. Does AP pick it up? Any major news organizations? Any tech magazines? Any corporations calling? Or is this falling on deaf ears? We should know the answer to that by annual meeting time.
I guess anyone really interested can find it. Mine was more of an observation than a complaint.
One thing about the interviews, I don’t recall any indication that CurAegis is a publicly traded company. Maybe I just missed it.
I thought the interview was really good. Short and to the point. I would like to have seen a CurAegis sign on the wall. The interviewer was terrific at getting the details out. First time I’d seen him do an interview. He’s good. I hope they send the video to their NY City studio.
I’m always available as a consultant.
For those interested in my use of the MyCadian app, I have a CURA score this morning of 8.8 after sleeping 9.5 hours last night. It appears to be working smoothly. For those that want to get a good night’s sleep, I recommend walking for over a mile during the day and 2 glasses of wine with dinner. You’ll sleep like a baby.
I’m told by someone in the real world that it takes about a week for this information to disseminate out and grow. They do it with his company all the time. He said that doing interviews with the larger ones (CNN Money and Yahoo) will give CRGS credibility to the other media outlets.
I agree. It will be a condition of employment. Like drug testing. If someone was high or drunk at work, they would be sent home and possibly ordered to get rehab. Same thing here. If you’re too sleepy to work, you’re too dangerous to yourself and others to be allowed to work. They may be ordered to see a doctor about their sleep problems.
I really don’t think pilots will benefit from a safety issue ( but maybe would as a health issue) because they are never alone. Someone else would alert them if they were drowsy. I’m guessing ( can’t prove it) that drowsy driver accidents happen most often when the driver is alone or all the passengers are asleep. DK also said that the CURA score acts like a blood pressure monitor score. A higher CURA score is good for your health. Many people have bad health because their sleep issues are not being addressed. A CURA score alert could be the best thing that happened to them to get them the sleep help they need. In other words, this could be good for not only the employer, but also the employee.
I emailed the company. Told them that there should be a stock symbol somewhere in the upcoming interviews.
If insurance companies can save money and companies can save money and the companies can share some of the savings, I think the unions will be ok with it. Let’s face it, companies need ways to find money to pay more to employees; especially truckers due to the trucker shortage. Also, truckers are big on safety so safety and their improved wellness should be welcomed. After all, it could be their own life being saved too. Individuals are not the real customers; at least yet. If I were an employer with a bunch of employees, the first thing I’d be checking in the morning is to see if I have an employee with a real bad CURA score. We talk about truckers a lot but this is for lots of different kinds of employees.
Lol. I’m working my way up to that.
Fitbit working fine and MyCadian app up and running. I don’t have enough nights of sleep yet for a totally accurate score. You’re supposed to have week’s worth of data. My CURA score right now says I’m in the average and is 5.7. It tells me on a graph that I will be less alert starting between 4 and 5 PM. I was hesitant to report because it really needs more data to be accurate. I only have 2 nights of data. Anyway, I really like the Fitbit and have started fast walking 1.5 miles per day. It has really gotten me off the couch. It reminds me that I need to be moving The only downside is that I’m not used to sleeping with a watch on. Kind of a pain. It gets a little easier each night though.
On the contrary, Mr. SULAX, they don’t know what WE do.
If you didn’t sell, for sure, none of us did.
According to the Rochester Business Journal Friday, “ Company officials will be in New York City next week touting their products to CNN Money, Yahoo!, and Chedder and is set up to sell the app on Fitbit.” It didn’t say when and how to watch. I not sure if any of it is watchable live.
I wrote “none of us”; not “no one.”
Looking for a guarantee? Here’s a guarantee.....I guarantee that none of us will be selling on Tuesday.
This is a great idea. CurAegis goes to Wall Street. NY City is where the new investors are. I wouldn’t be surprised if the business shows on TV call for interviews. You never know where this can lead.
If I were Fitbit, I’d buy this technology and Cura System before Apple does and if I were Apple, I’d buy it before Fitbit does.
Here’s my take. They are not selling to Fitbit users. They are selling to companies that have employees that would benefit from using the app. The Fitbit is only a cheap way of using the app to alert the employee, as well as the company, if the employee is getting drowsy and would be working unsafely. Hence, the Cura System. If companies can cut down accidents, that translates into saving money, lowering insurance costs, and saving lives.
Thanks, Oakie. I really don’t need the score at all times so I’ll just keep the one I have. I wanted to see how difficult it would be setting up and using the Fitbit in conjunction with the Cura system. Seems pretty easy to use, even for an old timer such as myself. I’m still waiting for my Cura score but I’ve only used the Fitbit for one night.
Just a follow up. The Cura score will only appear in the app on the phone; not on the Fitbit. Not a big deal. I was pleasantly surprised that the Fitbit only needs to be charged 2 hours every five days. Not so much a plus for CurAegis but a plus in the fact that this whole Fitbit/Cura process is easy and not a big pain to manage.
My Fitbit has been purchased. I bought at Walmart instead of Costco. They had more choices. My choice was the Fitbit Charge 2 costing $129. I easily purchased 1 year of the MyCadian app. I now wait for a few days until my Cura score shows up. I’m not sure how that happens. I hope it just appears on the watch but we will see if I have to find it on the app first.
Change of beneficial ownership out today.
On my way to Costco to buy a Fitbit. I will be checking the Fitbit Compatibility Chart provided by CurAegis to make sure I get the right one. Details to follow.
Glad they put the app out there to get things going. Why wait if the app is ready? Nice to see that it works with Apple too.
The 50k share block just sold at 25 cents and another 54k share block immediately went up for sale at 25 cents. We can never get any momentum. Is there someone playing games?
A little humour always makes my day.
